Provides High Reliability and Data Security
• Data in the datahub refreshes nightly. As the data only refreshes once every day, it is necessary to have to wait for any changes to thesource systems to become available. The daily refresh can be extremely useful for reconciling data. • DataHub only displays details of current members of the Organization. So it has much limited data available for generation of dynamic reports. • DataHub is volatile. The records are completely re-loaded each day. It puts burden on the system. • There are very few summary tables available due to storage of data in a detailed format. • The detailed information is not stored in the DataHub. It is stored in the relevant source system. Only commonly required data is stored within the DataHub.

Long-term integration has supported real-time data exchange and simplified adapter-based workflows
The challenges I have faced with TIBCO BusinessWorks mostly relate to financial applications that do not come with those adapters, so that requires custom coding. The features currently in TIBCO BusinessWorks are good enough, but going forward, as we are doing a lot of AI-based integrations, I would like to see TIBCO come up with more prompt-driven configurations rather than people having to understand deep technology. AI-driven features in TIBCO BusinessWorks would be beneficial, so that our business tech BA can do the development rather than needing programmers. More artificial intelligence functionality would help so people do not have to code.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"All staff members and users can request an account which can be accessed from all PCs on the company’s network."
"I like TIBCO BusinessWorks because it has a user-friendly GUI for developing solutions."
"There hasn't been a single day that we had any problems because of the product stability."
"The most valuable features are the extensive capabilities of adapters and the capabilities in the development environment."
"One of the most valuable features is data transformation. We have some legacy systems which are in old technology, like SOAP, whereas the new ones are in REST. So we use BusinessWorks to transform data from one format to another, from SOAP to REST."
"The solution is very scalable, it can handle a lot, and we have encryption plus integration servers running on that platform currently."
"The ability to link to different technologies is valuable to us."
"It is a very robust system."
"We are using only plugins for the database and SAP."

Cons

"DataHub is volatile; the records are completely re-loaded each day, which puts a burden on the system."
"Overall, TIBCO BusinessWorks has not evolved properly over time, and right now, if you compare it to other solutions that have evolved drastically, TIBCO BusinessWorks will pale in comparison; it's an outdated product."
"The learning curve takes time compared to webMethods."
"The challenges I have faced with TIBCO BusinessWorks mostly relate to financial applications that do not come with those adapters, so that requires custom coding."
"TIBCO BusinessWorks needs to improve its digital IDs and data processing capabilities. It will benefit small and medium businesses."
"There is room for improvement on the learning side."
"Though it is a stable product, if we have an issue with the product, it gets difficult, and it gets really difficult to explain the issue to the support team. Also, it takes a long time to get resolved."
"I'd like to see a more user-friendly solution in terms of the development area."
"Technical support is average. It's not the best."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"TIBCO BusinessWorks is a very expensive solution."
"Licensing scheme is too rigid"
"The payments made for service are the only addition to the standard licensing fees that we pay for the solution."
"The cost depends on the components required."
"I would rate the solution's pricing a three out of ten."
"I give the cost of the solution a four out of ten."
"I think BusinessWorks is more expensive compared to other products. We have the ELA, so at least we have some sort of bargain or discount with that. But for a start-up, it's very expensive compared to other ESBs."
"The product is not cheap."
