Accessible from anywhere and easy to learn even for non-technical users, but needs more connectors and faster issue resolution from technical support
What could be improved or added to IBM Infosphere Information Analyzer is more connectors. This solution comes in a package with IBM InfoSphere DataStage and is missing a lot of connectors to various, new data sources, so IBM needs to work on that area. Compared with competitors such as Informatica and Alation which acquired other small companies to work on the connectors, IBM has not done any testing and has tried to develop the connectors in-house, but that's taking a lot of time. As a result, my company is unable to connect to a lot of data sources, particularly modern data sources.

Has consistently provided impressive data handling capabilities and robust security features
Some of the most valuable features of SAP Data Services include data extraction where SAP is the best in that perspective, but when it comes to analytics or the reporting tool, I prefer to connect with Microsoft Power BI, which is a fantastic tool. Typically, from an end-user perspective, SAP has a huge amount of data, in terms of terabytes of data, but when you analyze that, the best form of visualization is always through Microsoft Power BI. SAP Data Services provides a best-in-class return on investment, as SAP's vision and forecast are absolutely amazing. They are ahead of technology, building an ecosystem that meets the standards of the fast-changing digital economy. SAP is indeed good at all this now, with so many components such as SAP Signavio, SAP EINS, SAP Work Zone, SAP ALM, Cloud ALM, SAP public cloud, SAP private cloud, and BTP, all of which are essential to meet the latest cutting-edge technologies.

"After working with the tool for so many years, I can say that overall their services are a really good deal."
"SAP is a very powerful system and definitely first class for big companies."
"The most valuable features of the solution are extraction and data transformations."

Cons

"IBM Infosphere Information Analyzer, particularly its latest version, has some stability issues. My company faced some serious issues with stability and had to repeatedly go to IBM to have the issues fixed."
"Stopped using it. Took a loss."
"Customer Service: AverageTechnical Support: Not good"
"As of v9.1, the troubleshooting process is still painful."
"The solution is outdated and is not on cloud."
"What could be improved or added to IBM Infosphere Information Analyzer is more connectors. "I think it has a little trouble handling more users running parallel batch jobs in one job server but minimal."
"Dealing with the REST API is not easy with Data Services. It is mandatory to have a WADL file and it is difficult to find this file and set it up."

"There are a lot of version improvements in the years and makes it hard to sync up with older versions of the same tool."
"While Data Services performs very well when dealing with relational structures and to a lesser degree with delimited files, there is significant room from improvement with the integration with web services and related data formats (XML, JSON, etc.)."

"Its pricing is as per the enterprise agreement and not a concern for us."
"The enterprise version of SAP Data Services is free."
"I rate the product price as one or two on a scale of one to ten, where one is a low price, and ten is a high price."
"The pricing is a little high to make the product more competetive in the marketplace."
"The price is very reasonable."
"Pricing is good, there is no problem."
"The product’s on-premise version is expensive for a medium-sized company."
"There is a one time purchase fee plus annual maintenance."
