Efficient data transformation and seamless integration drive successful deployments
As for improvements in IBM Integration Bus, we are getting another feature of the retry mechanism now. Version 8.13 was upgraded, and we started using the retry mechanism itself, and we are using nodes in the development level. They are improving one of the nodes such as the HTTP request node, implementing the indirect retry mechanism itself, and we are getting new features.

Functional administrative controls, highly scalable, and reliable
ESB will connect in real-time data between the two systems. For example, for one of our customers, we implemented Salesforce and with an on-premises system but the account master data and project master data did not work together. As soon as it requests the information, I have to fix the data from the SAP on-premise with this solution. This is the use case for service and sales implementations. The solution has enabled us to be able to fix our data by combining the cloud and on-premises systems which has helped a lot.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"IBM Integration Bus' most valuable features are its performance, fast and easy development, and easy support."
"I have found IBM Integration Bus is very useful because it can integrate multiple backend applications."
"The features I have found most valuable in this solution are transformation and routing."
"The solution's features are all quite useful. We use all of them."
"The Aspera feature for high-speed transfer is highly effective."
"I have found the inbound and outbound adapter confirmations valuable."
"It has the ability to be deployed without rewriting the code."
"I am into microservices using Java Spring Boot, but if we are using legacy systems, IBM Integration Bus is very good for them, as they have their own computational logic called EC12 and their own proprietary language, and you can do any kind of complex logic and can implement other ESVs that I have seen."
"The solution has enabled us to be able to fix our data by combining the cloud and on-premises systems which has helped a lot."
"I have found the best feature are the administrative controls."

Cons

"However, with the benefit of the insights we now have, if we were to do the same process again, over five years, WSO2 has done so well, and some other middleware is also doing well. Likely we would not choose IBM if we had to choose again."
"Recently, there was a lot of instability when selecting the solution they needed for testing."
"IBM Integration Bus could improve by having a more lightweight installation. Additionally, automation could improve."
"The memory footprint needs to be improved; having this solution on-prem is taking more memory and that memory footprint should be minimized."
"The interface could be more user-friendly."
"I don't mind the pricing."
"I believe there is room for improvement in the pricing structure to make it more accessible."
"Current aggregation implementation should be deprecated. MQ independent, as well as an intuitive solution, should be proposed."
"This solution is running on the Eclipse platform and this is where all the designing takes place. The Eclipse performance should be improved. The Open Studio tool we have been using for the development is not up to the industry standard and the performance should be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is not cheap. It has its cost. It is one of the high-cost solutions."
"Support costs are high compared to the competition. Otherwise, the support is good."
"The solution requires a license and is very expensive here in India."
"The price is reasonable considering the features we receive."
"The pricing of the solution is high."
"IBM Integration Bus itself is prices fair but App-Connect is a bit expensive which we use in conjunction with it."
"As customers, we always try to buy things as cheaply as possible. But the price for the IBM Integration Bus is fine. When we compare it to competitors, it's pretty much the same. However, there are a lot of open-source integration platforms coming to the market as well. So overall, the price is fine as far as licensed products are concerned."
"The pricing could be improved to make it more competitive."
"This solution is less expensive than competitors."
