Offers strong integration capabilities and reliable features but needs pricing and scaling improvements
Many things are evolving with the AI buzz in the market. What I would like to see improved or enhanced in webMethods.io in the future is that since webMethods.io is already under IBM, I think IBM will introduce and integrate AI into it. Additionally, regarding what webMethods.io can improve is the license cost. Other cloud players are also providing the same kind of functionality, such as AWS and Azure. webMethods.io is being installed on-premises, but AWS is providing it directly in the cloud. When comparing the license cost and request per minute cost, webMethods.io needs to address that. There are many competitors in the market for this.

Reliability and support ensure secure financial messaging over decades
The most valuable feature of SWIFTnet FIN is its reliability. For a bank, reliability is the most critical aspect. We also appreciate the extensive support facilities available worldwide. SWIFTnet FIN's services provide us with reliable connections to entities like European Central Bank, and we plan to join CLS as a direct member through SWIFTnet FIN. The store and forward feature, along with real-time messaging services, are crucial for our operations. Their security measures and compliance with CSP program ensure the highest safety standards. Audits and assessments by companies like KPMG and Ernst & Young further validate SWIFTnet FIN's reliability.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"From a user perspective, the feature which I like the most about Integration Server is its designer."
"Most of the work can be more easily done by using webMethods compared to other tools."
"I like the solution's policies, transformation, mediation, and routing features."
"What I like best about webMethods Integration Server is its portfolio of connectors."
"The most valuable feature is stability."
"webMethods Trading Networks is a good solution for interacting with outside of the organization. We can integrate the solutions with multiple outside the organization."
"Integration Server does our business-to-business integrations, and its adapters and connectors provide the fastest way to build an integration because we can immediately connect to backend systems without creating a lot of our own custom code, while the vendor’s full support for these adapters brings long-term stability to our services."
"The product is very stable."
"The most valuable feature of SWIFTnet FIN is its reliability."
"Their technical support is very professional."
"It provides the ability to interact with financial institutions and apply the same rules."

Cons

"Forced migration from MessageBroker to Universal Messaging requires large scale reimplementation for JMS."
"Perhaps in the area of Microservices, where I think Trading Networks could benefit from some improvements."
"At least in SAG Webmethods 8 there was no Data Value Repository tool that would allow to map values/codes from source (in our case HR portal) and transform that into target ERP codes (SAP and PeopleSoft)."
"Pricing is the number-one downfall. It's too expensive."
"Their support could also be improved. They could be more responsive and quicker."
"I would like to see the price improve."
"The stability of the various modules of the product suite have been a bit of a concern lately. Though their support team is always easy to reach out to, I would prefer it not come to that."
"The price has room for improvement."
"I would like for them to work in real-time."
"While SWIFTnet FIN is a robust system, there is room for minor improvements in scalability and installation complexity."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is a cost-effective solution."
"The solution's development license is free for three to six months. We have to pay for other things."
"Some of the licensing is "component-ized," which is confusing to new users/customers."
"The price of webMethods Integration Server isn't that high from an enterprise context, but open-source ESB solutions will always be the cheapest."
"It is an expensive tool. I rate the product price a nine out of ten, where ten means it is very expensive."
"Some who consider this solution often avoid it due to its high price."
"I do think webMethods is coming under increasing pressure when it comes to their price-to-feature value proposition. It's probably the single biggest strategic risk they have. They're very expensive in their industry. They've been raising the price recently, especially when compared with their competitors."
"It is worth the cost."
