The fine-grained auditing available on the platform makes life easier and helps explain anything happening in your database
Imperva's most valuable features are ease of use and log correlation. I also like the ability to trace activity from the host machine to the server access, the user details, and the exact query that they executed. If a database administrator or application process executes a query on the database, people know exactly what was executed, including all the variables. For example, it will tell you how many rows they were trying to select on which table, and you get the OS information, network details, IPs, and the user. That fine-grained auditing available on the platform makes life easier and helps explain anything happening in your database.

The solution's activity monitoring is valuable, but it should have more integrations and updates overall
Our primary use case for this solution is activity, authentication, and scans for audit purposes and priority assessments The feature I have found most valuable is activity monitoring. McAfee has not had many legacy features. They are not updating their value adjustment. In the next feature, I'd…

Pros

"Imperva's most valuable features are ease of use and log correlation. I also like the ability to trace activity from the host machine to the server access, the user details, and the exact query that they executed. If a database administrator or application process executes a query on the database, people know exactly what was executed, including all the variables."
"The cyber intelligence feature is the most valuable."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is the database security policy."
"The most valuable feature is the automatic reports on new databases, which gives us up-to-date inventory management."
"The most valuable feature is the Data Masking."
"The technical support for Imperva is super, super, super."
"A solution which does what other name brand products do for a lower cost."
"The solution is user-friendly."
"The technical support is good; they are knowledgeable."
"The feature I have found most valuable is activity monitoring."
"The support is very good. They are very quick to respond when we have issues."

Cons

"Imperva needs to improve their cloud capabilities."
"Overall, it's a very good product but they could do with some modifications log-wise."
"Data encryption. Yeah, Imperva needs to pull up on data encryption and make it a standard feature to allow maybe for tokenization, encryption of data, and things like that."
"They can maybe look at its pricing model. Its pricing could be cheaper for the African countries or developing economies."
"The GUI is bad."
"Improvements can be made in data enrichment and enhancing the GUI (Graphical User Interface) for a better user experience."
"The firewall features are not very strong and should be improved."
"Sometimes the reports are cumbersome, and you have to drill down to get more information."
"In the next feature, I'd like to see more integrations and updates overall, specifically bottom tech."
"Technical support could be more responsive."
"The UI needs to be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is quite expensive. We wanted it in my former organization, but the price was very high. So, we couldn't purchase it. I moved to a different organization, and this organization has purchased it."
"This is an expensive solution and the price should be reduced."
"The price of the solution is reasonable. The cost of the solution depends on the customer, they have the flex protect licensing which can vary in price."
"The product’s price is reasonable compared to other products."
"The pricing is reasonable and competitive."
"Its pricing could be cheaper for the African countries or developing economies. The British pound is valued way more than the currency of most African countries. A better or cheaper pricing model for Nigerian and African customers would be better. It has a per-year subscription model. You pay exactly for what you need. That's all. You don't have to buy what you don't need."
"The setup and license are quite expensive."
"Imperva is too expensive for small and medium-sized enterprises. They're missing out on technology that helps them manage their data security better. Data security is essential because even the strongest network may be attacked from the inside without it."
"It's not expensive compared to other products that are available."
