Integrated planning has improved document automation but reporting and user experience still need work
There are areas where Infor CloudSuite can improve. I have touched on the pros and key strengths of Infor CloudSuite, but end-user feedback indicates that there are several areas where the user experience can improve. For instance, when it comes to reporting, it comes with a very limited number of reports, and the standard reports are clunky, requiring a technical resource or developer to enhance or make them presentable. Another area is user experience; it takes several clicks to get to the information, and the user interface isn't that intuitive. Compared to other solutions, such as top-tier options such as Oracle or SAP, this stands out as an area needing improvement. When it comes to integration, Infor CloudSuite does offer a great deal of flexibility. It comes with APIs, so you can integrate with any third-party systems you may use. On that front, it's sufficient; however, it does require some specialized resources, as it's not a layman's job, and developers need to help with the integration. This is generally the case for any ERP. The user interface could indeed be better, and there is a steep learning curve for users; it takes time for them to get accustomed to Infor CloudSuite's interface and forms. However, once users adapt, it becomes easier and smoother to navigate. There are great features associated with Infor CloudSuite, such as DataViews and Birst as a business intelligence tool, which can be integrated with the basic product. Implementing Birst isn't plug-and-play; it requires a team of technical resources to execute. Additionally, there is a feature that allows integration with Excel, which can be installed by your IT team.

Effective lifecycle management improves with strong version control and deep integration needs
There is room for improvement in implementing features fully. The user interface is inconsistent and outdated. It appears that different departments or locations have implemented features differently, leading to inconsistency. There is a significant need for improved integration, particularly using OSLC for connecting with other tools like SAP ERP or ALM tools. The version control, while consistent, lacks flexibility regarding changes in CAD data and requires manual intervention for BOM management analysis.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Infor's environment—ION and Infor OS—is better than SAP's. The load time is shorter and Infor performs much better than SAP."
"The employee interface, specifically the UI, is one of the most valuable features in Infor CloudSuite, and after implementing it, I have seen numerous improvements in the UI space, including simplified navigation that has become easier with every CU, which is positive."
"From a product perspective, it's more lenient and suitable for using features in finance, such as reconciling our payments, accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc."
"Infor CloudSuite offers a comprehensive solution with integrated business intelligence and artificial intelligence capabilities."
"Infor CloudSuite offers a comprehensive solution with integrated business intelligence and artificial intelligence capabilities."
"If you are working in the food and beverage industry, I would say it's a perfect solution."
"Infor CloudSuite Industrial is easy to setup. The built-in solution is already there, so we can start implementing it right away when we install it in an organization. After going through different test executions and workshops, any missing features can be added using Infor extension tables and other products. It will take at least eight to nine months to go live."
"The stability of the solution is perfect. I rate it a ten out of ten."
"I like how the product integrates with other technical solutions."
"Customer Service: PTC customer service was fantastic until our company got cheap during our chapter 11 phase and tried not paying the bills to PTC."
"The strong point of Windchill is its close connection between the CAD structure and the bill of materials structure."
"The version control maintains consistent versions, which is beneficial."

Cons

"The price of the solution is not good."
"As far as pricing and licensing are concerned, more licenses are needed when companies grow with Infor CloudSuite."
"In Germany, there aren't enough IT specialists for customization and software development, causing projects to take too long."
"Infor needs to work on its documentation. For example, if I need to create a business object deployment from LVN to element, the instructions for this are insufficient. Many specific use cases aren't covered in the manual."
"They could include marketing automation for the product."
"There should be better clarity and agreement on all interfaces and requirements before signing a contract. This would avoid unexpected costs and complications later on."
"The price of the solution is not good. In Europe, it's difficult to find people who already know Infor, which was a problem during implementation."
"For the quality department, there is a module called quality, and I feel it has to be a little bit simplified."
"Intralink needs to work better with various file formats. Also the publishing and viewing process needs to be simplified so that data can easily be shared outside of the CAD department."
"Some parts of the system are exclusive, so we can't work with them."
"I would not recommend doing business with PTC regardless of the product."
"There is room for improvement in implementing features fully."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I'm working for a German company, but I'm located in Portugal. In the German market, Infor's price isn't an issue for clients, but Infor is losing market share every year to SAP in Portugal. Portuguese clients find SAP more affordable. Infor needs to work on this."
"As for pricing, I secured a favorable deal at around $80,000 yearly for five years, but it was a one-time opportunity."
"The platform's pricing depends on the specific number of users."
"The pricing is not built on a standard model."
"I feel it is not very cheap, very economical but also not very expensive."
"It is a cost-effective solution."
"For on-premise installations, the licensing is yearly."
"The product is expensive. I rate the pricing a five out of ten."
"I rate PTC Windchill's pricing a seven out of ten since it is pricey."
