A solution with great customization and visually appealing features
I rate this solution a nine out of ten. Storyline has so much flexibility, and you can do so much fun with it. It's top-rated. You can do basic things and get carried away with Storyline. However, if you're looking to convert a PowerPoint presentation into something that looks nice or has an embedded video where the speaker would be, iSpring Learn is a good solution. It's a great program, and we use many features. For example, we use Camtasia for video and screen recordings. If we want to create a game or start something from scratch and customize it for the user with graphics and places with many engagement features, we can use either Articulate or Storyline. Everything is contained in one window, and it's visually appealing. We can scroll down, and it's almost like a webpage where we get all the information. iSpring Learn is made so that we can create visually appealing and engaging content with just a PowerPoint presentation. Sometimes we have people who give us a PowerPoint and say, "Can you do something with this? Can you make it pretty?" Or they'll provide us with audio and say, "I recorded these slides for PowerPoint. Can we jazz it up? Can we do something?" So we put the picture or their bio with their contact information. If they have any attachments, we'll add resources to them. Then we convert the PowerPoint and add the audio, which looks great. iSpring Learn is easy to work with.

A highly flexible and customizable learning management system with a wide range of features, providing educators with the tools to create engaging and interactive online courses
Moodle has proven to be highly effective for training and professional development within our organization. It has replaced the traditional practice of sending individuals on courses across the country, offering coast-to-coast accessibility. We've also begun utilizing badges for internal certification, streamlining the process of recognizing achievement. As its usage has expanded, we started with native Moodle on our section and have since extended it to other groups. The integration of third-party plugins or tools has influenced our utilization of Moodle. While we haven't implemented as many filters as we potentially could have, one individual has managed administration duties and the integration of these tools. This individual has also been involved in other areas, dedicating significant time to programming within Moodle for a specific program for one group. This process has spanned several years, demonstrating the commitment required to bring these enhancements to fruition.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We can quickly convert PowerPoint to e-Learning modules and add video and other resources to our e-Learning modules."
"ISpring Learn is made so that we can create visually appealing and engaging content with just a PowerPoint presentation."
"The number of permissions that are available and different ways to report and get the information out are the most valuable features. We have been able to get precise bits of information out, and we have also been able to delegate a lot."
"The customization features of Moodle significantly enhance the learning experience for our users."
"This is a scalable solution; we have had 30,000 students using the solution and during COVID, we were able to accommodate a 500% increase in traffic."
"One of the most valuable aspects is the ability to input data into the model."
"The solution is completely stable; it's a rock-solid solution, with no issues with bugs or glitches and it doesn't crash or freeze."
"This is a very cost-effective solution that is intuitive, doesn't require much training, and is easily accessible."
"The solution is stable."
"Cost-effective and intuitive."

Cons

"I would recommend some enhancements to the product."
"Everything is very text heavy. There are no videos or moving images. For a visual learner, there's not a lot of visual content so Moodle is not suitable for all types of learners."
"It would be a benefit if there was an easy single sign-on with social media services for Moodle. There are some plugins that I tried, but they didn't work seamlessly. it is a work in progress. Having the single sign-on with social media services would be appreciated because in my school we are using Google suite and the main reason why we use Google Classroom is that it is integrated seamlessly with the suite."
"One aspect that I found a bit confusing was the dual editing system, where you could edit the layout of the course separately from editing the content."
"The solution architecture could be improved."
"Setting up groups and allocating privacy settings to different groups is quite complicated."
"If you just install it as it is, the user experience will be a disaster if you don't understand what to do."
"An improvement would be to have it support physically challenged students, who we think should be able to participate in some of our courses."
"The solution should continue to allow and foster the ability to integrate with cloud services."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"Moodle have a very robust licensing system that is user friendly. It's not very expensive."
"The licensing cost is quite high and it operates on an annual basis."
"Moodle is an open-source solution that is free of cost."
"Moodle is a free open-sourced solution. This is one of the best aspects of Moodle."
"In terms of cost, it is available at no charge."
"Moodle is free. It should probably stay free. There isn't really any support for Moodle unless you pay an astronomical amount, which is weird."
"It is open source, and it has a lot of free documentation. It can be by far the least expensive option, but it depends on how one decides to use it. It can be free if you download it and host it on-prem, and you don't count your time as being worth anything. So, it can be almost free, or it can be very expensive just depending on if you get a package with a provider and if it is a huge solution."
"It is a one-time registration with the Moodle site. There isn't a yearly or monthly fee."
