Oracle's support is not that good for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. Their support is expensive, and I don't think you're getting your bang for your buck. For the cloud product, they do give you support, but everything is online and you might not get somebody. I would give Oracle's support for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne about a 6.5 on a scale of one to 10.

Quick implementation brings comprehensive workflow management and efficient regulation handling
One of the major advantages of QAD Cloud ERP is related to the easy and quick implementation that I have found the most valuable. The entire application of QAD Cloud ERP itself is very valuable for my customers. My impression of the advanced supply chain management feature in QAD Cloud ERP is that it's a very comfortable tool and, if rightly configured, it really helps the business to have clear visibility of the entire supply chain. My impression of the compliance management in QAD Cloud ERP is that it has reduced many overheads of doing manual compliance, and it is quite easily manageable; it is connected with the regulatory authorities, making it a fantastic tool. The positive impact my customers have experienced from using QAD Cloud ERP includes easy integration with multiple different applications, connectivity with regulatory authorities and banks, having bank drivers for easy payments and receiving money, and it has fantastic web UI reporting, which satisfies many different stakeholders within the entire organization worldwide.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Everything's under one umbrella and so that's why we're going to JD Edwards; it's just incredible for efficiency."
"We use this solution for the financial model, accounts receivable with payments, accounting, fixed assets, inventory, and purchasing, and we are a quite large B2B company."
"It's an excellent technological product that any client should consider."
"If used properly, one can see a return on his investment."
"EnterpriseOne is stable and can be customized according to customer requirements."
"EnterpriseOne has been the product that allows us to focus on our products and not on our ERP, and this means a lot."
"The interface is very user-friendly."
"JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is a user-friendly ERP solution that is quite simple, with a very straightforward interface that allows end users, especially those with a finance background like me, to engage in finance areas such as vouchers, manual vouchers, email receipts, and GL analysis efficiently."
"The solution serves its purpose and does what we need it to do."
"It is the most stable solution that I've ever worked with."
"The positive impact my customers have experienced from using QAD Cloud ERP includes easy integration with multiple different applications, connectivity with regulatory authorities and banks, having bank drivers for easy payments and receiving money, and it has fantastic web UI reporting, which satisfies many different stakeholders within the entire organization worldwide."
"Customer service is very friendly and helpful, and as soon as we raise a ticket for any issue, they basically take care of it irrespective of geographic boundaries."

Cons

"The reporting has to be flexible or it will turn the end-user off."
"The solution could be easier to implement. However, the complexity was in our internal processes meeting our country's requirements. Every country has a slightly different process, taxation, and rules. That was the difficult part, not the solution itself. I expect our experience would have been more or less the same with any ERP, such as SAP, Navision, or Dynamics."
"If they can research and make the installation part easier or more user-friendly, it would be nice."
"We did have some stability issues. We currently use IBM WebSphere 7.1 and it sometimes does not look like it is 100% compatible."
"Localization features are critical for all regions. Improving these features in various countries and markets is essential to meet customer needs."
"JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is more of a legacy solution because most of the competitors are or have moved to the cloud. It would be beneficial if there was a cloud version available. Additionally, the interface could improve."
"Some modules are expensive and there is an annual software maintenance cost as well."
"We found that the system was unable to address many of our concerns, especially when it comes to project management."
"They could improve by moving away from the architecture of Progress 4GL as currently they are undergoing a very drastic change by redoing the entire application with Java and web-based technologies, projected to be released by 2026 with the incorporation of analytics, process intelligence, and AI to help business users."
"Just implementing an ERP system takes a lot of time."
"The product lacks a lot of features and technology."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The maintenance of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is expensive and overall the solution is expensive. Most enterprise operation solution is expensive."
"There is an annual license for this solution."
"The price of the solution is not cheap. However, it is priced average amongst competitors."
"The pricing is very high. Even though the license is perpetual yet you have to get the maintenance. Since we pay using Pesos, it's very expensive."
"The licensing is for mid-market businesses, where it is cheaper than Oracle Cloud, EBS, or SAP."
"In terms of price, it is not on the high end."
"It depends on the number of users and the modules that you want to buy. It is licensed on a perpetual license basis. You buy the license costs upfront, and then there is maintenance for support that you pay every year, which is typically about 20%."
"The pricing is an "arm-and-a-leg". This keeps the customers away from going for J.D. Edwards."
