Enables efficient finance and maintenance management with real-time data and strong integration
The integration between plant maintenance, stores, and financials is highly valued by my customers in the refinery business, as it allows for efficient maintenance processes and easily accessible financial information. Additionally, the mobile features are beneficial as they allow managers to approve or reject orders on the go. JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ( /products/jd-edwards-enterpriseone-reviews ) provides real-time data, which is very timely for decision-making. Managers have dashboards created for them that are readily updated for insightful information. This reflects the improved business intelligence features of the solution.

The product lacks a lot of features and technology, though it is the most stable solution in the market
The product lacks a lot of features and technology. It is really limited. The tool must improve in almost all areas. There are a lot of things that should be improved in the manufacturing and shop floor, logistics and warehousing, and master data both from a functionality and technology standpoint. The solution must have a better WMS to improve the logistics and workflow and handle the processes within the system. The collaboration must be improved. The product must be more flexible and allow customization. It must allow the users to personalize the application in a better way. The tool lacks a lot in the purchasing area. The documents and process of purchasing are limited and simple. In the sales domain, there are no enhancements to calculate forecast and shipment programs. We cannot optimize transportation.

Cons

"JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is more of a legacy solution because most of the competitors are or have moved to the cloud. It would be beneficial if there was a cloud version available. Additionally, the interface could improve."
"There is room for improvement on the payroll side, as the solution is not very strong in this area."
"We originally used EnterpriseOne for preventative maintenance, but it is not very good at that so we migrated to Maximo for that task."
"What would make JD Edwards EnterpriseOne better is more straightforward project implementation, including reducing the costs associated with upgrading projects."
"The implementation procedure could be simplified."
"We’d like to see technical support integrated within the application so that it is not required to raise additional incidents or do manual outreach to support."
"I would like the user experience to be more user-friendly."
"The reporting has to be flexible or it will turn the end-user off."
"Just implementing an ERP system takes a lot of time."
"The product lacks a lot of features and technology."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The solution’s pricing depends on the module you’re purchasing."
"The pricing is an "arm-and-a-leg". This keeps the customers away from going for J.D. Edwards."
"EnterpriseOne is cost-effective for large enterprises."
"There is an annual license for this solution."
"The price of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is high. However, every ERP solution has a high price."
"The maintenance of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is expensive and overall the solution is expensive. Most enterprise operation solution is expensive."
"The cost depends on the number of users and the modules required."
"It's very competitively priced. The only problem now is that most of the industry is moving towards software as a service or a subscription model, whereas JD Edwards has a capital expenditure. You would spend on the licenses once off. You can either host it on-premise or in the cloud, but there is a licensing fee once a year."
