Gained full visibility and streamlined threat detection through behavior-based insights and AI integration
Initially, we got to have a lot of false positives when we onboarded, but nowadays it's quite smooth. We have fine-tuned our security policies and allowed different levels of policies to get rid of those false positives. Currently, we are getting a fairly good amount of incidents that are not false positives or benign, but actionable items. The process is streamlined. In the initial days, the operations used to get involved in a lot of benign and other activities, but now the process is streamlined. We are leveraging the auto-detection and remediation plans. The operations teams are now more involved in other business roles as well, not just looking into the logs and fetching out what's happening there. They have fixed a lot of things. Initially, they didn't have IAC code drift detection, cloud posture management, or security posture management, but they have those now. They purchased different vendors and did a merger with that. They have now Prisma Cloud that gets integrated and now they are working with Cortex Cloud. Everything that was negative has now been addressed, and the product altogether looks to be in a very better and mature shape now. Currently, it's more or less detecting the workloads with AI-based best practices. Since most organizations are consuming AI agents and other things, we are looking forward to seeing what other feature enhancements Palo Alto can support in that.

Long-term licensing has provided reliable lightweight protection for commercial customers and maintains strong performance without disrupting existing security tools
Kaspersky Total Security is a lightweight solution that does not slow down Windows. In many years of use for my customers, I have not had any broken software or other problems. Safe Money technology is available in the product, but I do not use it because my customers have other security solutions that intercept malware before Kaspersky on the firewall and networking firewall of LAN. I sell the various solutions of next generation, Optimum, and Advanced through MCP licensing.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Automation and playbooks have helped me significantly, as Cortex Xnor's playbooks predefine the workflow of the automation, such as response processes, alert triggering, and enriching the context, efficiently detecting and blocking malicious attacks with firewalls while eliminating workload and speeding responses for next-generation operations."
"From a single pane of glass, you can easily manage all of your endpoints."
"We switched because there were a lot of added features with Palo Alto that Check Point didn't have, and it was an upgrade for us."
"The solution helps find bugs, and it is safe to use to prevent attacks by hackers."
"Overall, it's a great platform; it integrates very well with other solutions from Palo Alto and also with our vendors, the ease of use is excellent, I love the root cause analysis from Cortex, which is amazing, and in a few clicks you can have the full root cause."
"The multi-layered approach to the product gives you confidence that it will stop exploits, ransomware, worms, or viruses from compromising endpoints, essentially providing peace of mind."
"The biggest positive impact I see from Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is a significant reduction in the number of people required to manage it."
"I generally believe that Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is probably the best in the market right now."
"Kaspersky Total Security provides a good return on investment by improving data security and reducing costs by sixty percent with its robust security features."
"The solution has a lot of features like IDS and IPS detection system, antispam, and firewall."
"Kaspersky is reliable because it checks everything before I want to log in."
"It has advanced features for detecting malware and ensuring customer safety."
"The solution is efficient."
"It automatically identifies potential threats in emails, websites, and documents, swiftly blocking or quarantining anything harmful to prevent any damage or infection to my system."
"I am satisfied with the solution's security features because we have been using it for years."
"The most effective feature is its scanning. When they scan the viruses, they come back with the records quite fast. They make sure that they rectify."
"The update process and policy control are good."
"I like Seqrite's web protection features and external device control."
"The product's initial setup phase is easy."
"We found the DLP to be innovative and useful."
"Endpoint Security's best features are inventory, asset management, and quick scanning."
"The only thing that I have found useful is that I have an overview of my systems in the networks."
"Seqrite Endpoint Security provides external protection in terms of hard drives."
"We were excited about the cloud-based management features of Seqrite and were looking to use the same."

Cons

"It's very time-consuming to log support issues and the people that answer the tickets aren't very knowledgeable."
"The solution should force customers to integrate with network traffic to see the full benefits of XDR."
"The solution lacks real-time, on-demand antivirus."
"Traps doesn't work with McAfee. You need to remove McAfee to install Traps. This is very common, and its nothing that should be an issue. Some antivirus engines recognize Traps as an threat component, so maybe they need to shake hands somewhere."
"They've been having some issues with updating their endpoint agents, and it has been quite frustrating."
"Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is a very good product, but financially, it is very expensive, so the company should look into that area."
"Currently, we are monitoring all USB drives and ports but we would like to improve our device control capabilities."
"However, if you do not have Palo Alto in your environment, you are paying these additional services just for Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks, so it is not a cost-effective solution."
"When you get the license number, there isn't a clear section in the program's interface that leads you to renew your license. You have to look and search a lot about it."
"The tool could be cheaper."
"The system can be demanding on resources, making devices busy when running the client application. It would be beneficial if the resource usage could be reduced to lessen the burden on devices."
"Kaspersky Total Security is an expensive solution, and its pricing could be improved."
"The solution’s security could be improved."
"The stability of the solution could be improved because we had some issues with the solution on non-Windows laptops."
"Kaspersky has to improve its response when there is an incident. They need to respond faster."
"The authorization process could be faster."
"The solution could improve by providing better security and a cloud base version."
"When we fire any employee connected remotely over the internet, we need a security feature that blocks the system and the device."
"I don't feel that the scalability part of Seqrite Endpoint Security is better than the other products in the market."
"The pricing could be a bit lower."
"The support offered by the tool is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"Sometimes, small and medium businesses, or even startups with just five, ten, or fifteen systems, are also keen to secure their data. There is a reluctance on the part of the technical team to extend installation support when the opportunity sizes are smaller. Seqrite Endpoint Security has a lot of value. Still, its marketing could be done much better on a larger scale, especially in India, in light of the new DPDP 2023 Act, which the Indian Parliament passed. It would be even more valuable if Seqrite could incorporate features to help companies comply with this law, it would be even more helpful."
"We would like the solution to have integration with other security solutions so that we can have a single base for monitoring all the security incidents and concerns."
"It should be able to detect and report any ransomware attack but currently, it doesn't detect and it doesn't report any."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"In terms of the cost Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is very expensive because we are a Mexican company and when you translate dollars to pesos the cost is very high. The solution is very expensive for Mexican companies. I understand that they have international prices, but I do not think it offsets the price enough for many companies in countries, such as Mexico. The amount it is reduced is not a massive percentage."
"I feel it is fairly priced."
"It's about $55 per license on a yearly basis."
"I did PoCs on products called Cylance and CrowdStrike. Although, I consider these products and they were also good, when it come to cost and budgetary factors, Traps has been proven to be better than the other two products. It is quite cost-effective and delivers all the entire solution which we require."
"It is present, but when compared to other competitive products, I would say it is not less expensive; however, when all of the other added values are considered, the price is reasonable."
"Compared to CrowdStrike, Cortex XDR is an expensive solution."
"It has a higher cost than other solutions, like CrowdStrike or Microsoft’s EDR tools, but it reduces the cost of our operations because it’s a new generation antivirus tool."
"It's way too expensive, but security is expensive. You pay for your licensing, and then you pay for someone to monitor the stuff."
"Kaspersky Total Security is an expensive solution."
"I like this solution due to its cost-free nature"
"Users need to pay a licensing fee for the solution, which is neither cheap nor expensive."
"The product is not expensive."
"There is a need to renew the license on an annual basis."
"We pay around $30 to $35 for the solution yearly."
"The solution's pricing is cheap and better than that of Sophos."
"Kaspersky Total Security is not an expensive solution."
"You need to pay for a yearly license for Seqrite Endpoint Security, which is expensive."
"As per the suggestions from one of the experts we know, it is advisable to make a proper comparison with the local vendors instead of solely relying on online prices, which are often higher and quite expensive."

"It is a cheaply priced product."
