Gained full visibility and streamlined threat detection through behavior-based insights and AI integration
Initially, we got to have a lot of false positives when we onboarded, but nowadays it's quite smooth. We have fine-tuned our security policies and allowed different levels of policies to get rid of those false positives. Currently, we are getting a fairly good amount of incidents that are not false positives or benign, but actionable items. The process is streamlined. In the initial days, the operations used to get involved in a lot of benign and other activities, but now the process is streamlined. We are leveraging the auto-detection and remediation plans. The operations teams are now more involved in other business roles as well, not just looking into the logs and fetching out what's happening there. They have fixed a lot of things. Initially, they didn't have IAC code drift detection, cloud posture management, or security posture management, but they have those now. They purchased different vendors and did a merger with that. They have now Prisma Cloud that gets integrated and now they are working with Cortex Cloud. Everything that was negative has now been addressed, and the product altogether looks to be in a very better and mature shape now. Currently, it's more or less detecting the workloads with AI-based best practices. Since most organizations are consuming AI agents and other things, we are looking forward to seeing what other feature enhancements Palo Alto can support in that.

Long-term licensing has provided reliable lightweight protection for commercial customers and maintains strong performance without disrupting existing security tools
Kaspersky Total Security is a lightweight solution that does not slow down Windows. In many years of use for my customers, I have not had any broken software or other problems. Safe Money technology is available in the product, but I do not use it because my customers have other security solutions that intercept malware before Kaspersky on the firewall and networking firewall of LAN. I sell the various solutions of next generation, Optimum, and Advanced through MCP licensing.

With DLP, XDR, and EDR functionalities, the solution also offers great technical support
The most valuable features of the solution are DLP, XDR, and EDR functionalities. It is a lightweight solution with good features, allowing for application control. The solution also offers good DLP features, and our company recently upgraded to use its XDR features. The solution's XDR features work smoothly in our company. With the lightweight nature of the solution and its features, my team was required to deploy the solution in our company. Our company also receives good support from Seqrite, which was one of the main reasons we chose the solution since we could get help if we faced any issues with the solution.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I generally believe that Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is probably the best in the market right now."
"Palo Alto is the best security solution in the market."
"There are a lot of lead solutions in this space, however, Palo Alto is number one."
"It's very stable. I've never experienced downtime for the ASM console or ASM core."
"Cortex XDR can integrate the firewalls and determine the tendencies of the attacks. It's a new generation antivirus, with protection endpoints and detection response. It is very easy to use and everybody can operate the solution."
"They have a new GUI which is just fantastic."
"It collects and caches and the knowledge of machine learning from different customers to take to the cloud, it makes it better to use for everybody, it allows for quick learning and updates and can, therefore, offer zero-day malware security, and this sharing of metadata helps make the solution very safe."
"It has a higher cost than other solutions, like CrowdStrike or Microsoft’s EDR tools, but it reduces the cost of our operations because it’s a new generation antivirus tool."
"There has been a return on investment for our small and medium business users."
"The software is easy to install."
"The solution has a lot of features like IDS and IPS detection system, antispam, and firewall."
"It is a stable solution...It is a scalable solution."
"Kaspersky Total Security has valuable reporting features regarding visibility for trusted sites and safe browsing."
"Kaspersky Total Security provides a good return on investment by improving data security and reducing costs by sixty percent with its robust security features."
"I respect the solution for its pricing."
"Kaspersky is reliable because it checks everything before I want to log in."
"Seqrite Endpoint Security is a good solution."
"I like Seqrite's web protection features and external device control."
"The two valuable features are anti-ransomware and data loss protection."

"The convenience has been great."
"The overall performance of the server and the dashboard are the most interesting aspects of the solution."
"The only thing that I have found useful is that I have an overview of my systems in the networks."

Cons

"The encryption is not up to the mark."
"The solution lags to the real-time scenarios here and there."
"In some cases, there are too many options for me, and it is a bit too hard to find some settings which I really need to implement."
"The deployment is pretty hard."
"The solution can never really be an on-premises solution based simply on the way it is set up. It needs metadata to run and improve. Having an on-premises solution would cut it off from making improvements."
"It should support more mobile operating systems. That is one of the cons of their infrastructure right now."
"I don't like that they have different types of licenses. For example, if users select a license, they think they will have all the platforms they need to improve their network or security. But after some time, Palo Alto Networks changed their licensing, and some of the features that, for example, were free at the beginning now have a cost. I think the integration can be improved. For example, a lot of tools are just integrated through APIs."
"Whenever the tool releases a new version when deploying the product across the organization, I feel like there are some disturbances in the CPU usage after upgrading the tool to the latest version."
"There is room for improving security."
"There could be an option to upgrade the license online without necessarily installing it physically in the system."
"The stability of the solution could be improved because we had some issues with the solution on non-Windows laptops."
"Regarding improvement, Kaspersky has a slightly larger system footprint, leading to a 5-10% performance slowdown compared to when I wasn't using Kaspersky."
"Kaspersky Total Security’s stability and performance need improvement."
"The solution’s stability could be improved"
"Kaspersky Total Security is an expensive solution, and its pricing could be improved."
"Enhancing the encryption code, particularly in relation to ransomware would be a great addition for future use."
"User management is not that good currently, and so we have trouble with handling user management."
"The support offered by the tool is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"User management could be improved."
"I don't feel that the scalability part of Seqrite Endpoint Security is better than the other products in the market."
"The product or service could be improved by incorporating SIEM integrations to enable the collection of logs."
"We would like the solution to have integration with other security solutions so that we can have a single base for monitoring all the security incidents and concerns."
"It should be able to detect and report any ransomware attack but currently, it doesn't detect and it doesn't report any."
"The solution could improve by providing better security and a cloud base version."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price of the solution could be reduced. I have customers that have voiced that the solution is good for the value but if I want to sell more of the solution the price reduction would help."
"The cost depends on your chosen license type, like Pro or other licenses."

"The pricing is a little high. It is per user per year."
"The tool's price is moderate."
"We pay about $50,000 USD per year for a bundle that includes Cortex XDR."
