Ability to interact with teachers in real-time and manage lessons after class
The deployment process is very fast. We have prepared the product to be easily installed, and we have had successful cases where it could be implemented in less than a few weeks. Moreover, Around three or four people in a call center are involved in maintaining the solution. We have a project manager, a service manager, and at least two or three system analysts who handle the maintenance. If there are any issues, we can open a support ticket for them to address.

Automated provisioning simplifies deployment and integration
The Oracle Database Appliance is customizable and has excellent features.I don't have any problems with Oracle Database Appliance because this product is very automated, with scheduler and automatic processes throughout. You can make small inferences and changes for creating all the specific modifications. The automated provisioning feature helps speed up the database deployment process because you can use one command or option to resize all the disks or increase memory, depending on the occasion. The Oracle Database Appliance has integration in OCI Cloud. The same services simplify all the manager work regarding backups, configuration, resizing disks, and other services. Deploying the Oracle Database Appliance both on-premises and in the cloud offers the same simplification. You simply input your database name and specify memory quantity, CPU quantity, and database size. The process is identical for both on-premises and cloud deployments. The flexibility of Oracle Database Appliance has helped grow business needs for many customers. Using the Oracle Database Appliance has positively impacted my organization because I can deliver it much more comfortably. Creating a database involves many processes, but with this solution, you just input the name and configure the network and other parameters. It is very similar to RDS in AWS services, where you specify the name, choose the engine, indicate parameter groups, VPC, subnet groups, and proceed. Both Oracle Database Appliance and RDS have greatly simplified the work.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature is the ability to interact with teachers in real-time and manage lessons after class."
"The tool's most valuable features for us are its combination of formatting, ETL, analytics, and storage capabilities."
"Easy management (it saves a lot of installation and patching time)."
"The solution is pretty automated, which takes out the possibility of human error."
"It has led to improved performance, it saves maintenance costs, increases stability and reliability and is a single vendor solution."
"The database is solid."
"The performance of the system is the solution's most valuable aspect, and in combination with the database, it gives perfect results."
"One of the reasons that we are still supporting Oracle Database Appliance is because we feel that Oracle has a lot of customers and a lot of implementers that are local."
"The product is very light."
"NVM Express (NVMe) solid-state drives: This technology brings outstanding I/O performance for midsize databases. We have tested it by doing POCs on customer sites and the results were quite satisfying."

Cons

"The solution is expensive. For future releases, it would be beneficial if Kovair Data Lake could enhance its ETL and data capabilities."
"Maybe the chat conversation feature could be improved."
"It isn't as popular as AWS, GCP, or Azure as it lacks scalability and cloud-native services like containerization."
"I would like it if the scalability could be increased without having to change versions."
"The feature that I would like to see improve is the interface. It is really not good. I almost have to work on script by script in it. There is always some issue with the user interface."
"Oracle's product support is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"In terms of what can be be improved, I'd say Artificial Intelligence, AI. It would be really helpful if AI was incorporated within the solution."
"Storage expansion was not possible for ODA X2 so we frequently ran into storage limitations."
"Virtualization features could also be improved."
"They could incorporate a more secure and internet-centric management system for the platform."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I rate the tool's pricing a five out of ten."
"Leverage the Pay-As-You-Grow licensing, and consider using the ODA X6-2 S/M/L models also for SE2/SE."
"The price of the solution should be less expensive. However, they will increase the price more."
"The solution may be expensive, but when we consider the problems it solves, the stability it provides, and the fact that we don't have to buy separate parts and assemble them into a system, it becomes more affordable."
"The price should be lower."
"You must pay for the license."
"I don’t know ODA and alternative system prices. But Oracle the database license is quite expensive and a lot of my customers plan to migrate to open source databases like PostgreSQL."
"In regards to licensing, it is cheaper to maintain for Oracle applications, and it's an all-in-one solution."
"I would rate the pricing a four on a scale of one (high price) to ten (low cost)."
