Effective threat predictions, simple to deploy, and light on resources
Malwarebytes's initial setup is simple. It is easy to deploy and configure the policies and the configuration. I deployed Malwarebytes for one customer and I did it in under two days. They had approximately 50 users, it took approximately an hour. The steps I took for the implementation were downloading the Malwarebytes management console from the site, installing it, then running the discovery tool, scanning my network, and checking all of the PCs on my network. It's already pre-configured, you don't need to configure anything. The only configuration that I did on the administration console was some of the exclusion from the scan. This is the only rule that I have created. I rate the initial setup of Malwarebytes a ten out of ten.

AI-driven threat detection strengthens security and supports seamless integration
My company had an opportunity to implement Trend Micro Endpoint for one of our customers. They have around 500 PCs as endpoints and also around 100 or 120 servers The behavior analytics feature is very useful, and its threat detection based on AI is very strong. It is easy to integrate with other…

"I never have to look at it or do anything with it, and then my system just stays clean."
"The solution has a good management interface."
"The product provides notifications for suspicious events. We have several public access points. The product helps to prevent unauthorized entry. Its most valuable features are pre-installation procedures and a cloud console. The console's interface is simple and can be viewed easily to take action. It covers everything in terms of security threats."
"The technical support services are good."
"The most valuable feature is that it stops malware, which is important."
"One of the advantages for me is that it is very easy to use."
"The most valuable feature is the vulnerability attack and detection since it enables swift action."
"This is a very stable product and we plan to continue using it."
"The behavior analytics feature is very useful, and its threat detection based on AI is very strong."
"Apex One is flexible and offers a lot of visibility on the agent."
"The main features that are useful are application control, vulnerability protection, and XDR Vision One which we have recently started using. Additionally, the solution is easy to use."
"It is updated automatically without much intervention from our side. We can also get some reports easily."
"The antivirus is the most valuable aspect of Trend Micro Apex One."

Cons

"The product could be improved in blocking malicious traffic, such as communication with known malicious IP addresses."
"There are no built-in backups or integrated backup options, which could be an opportunity."
"It would be better if updates could be downloaded, and deployed, on-premises to avoid low bandwidth causing issues."
"They could come up with better reporting capabilities."
"The stability and performance of the solution are areas with shortcomings that need improvement."
"We experience a lot of false positives."
"The reporting is not as flexible as you would find with other antivirus software."
"This solution reports far too many false positives!"
"The solution could improve the Linux XDR functionality. It is not mature. There could be some improvement in the area of the use cases. For example, improvement is needed in OTN."
"I think that this product needs to improve the data loss prevention port."
"The security features need improvement."
"I would like to see better reporting."
"The support could be more customer-friendly, although my experience with them has been okay."
"We're actually looking to upgrade to more sophisticated ADL products. We need a more sophisticated endpoint. We need to have the ability to automate those instant response processes."
"We cover many things, but there is something called ATP, advanced threat prevention. I think they need to invest in this technology."
"Sometimes HTTPS sites are not blocked properly."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price of Malwarebytes is in the middle range compared to other vendors."
"It is expensive."
"I believe the retail price is between $40 and $50 per copy."
"On a scale of one to ten, where one is a low price and ten is a high price, I rate the product's pricing a seven."
"Malwarebytes is a cost-effective product."
"I rate the tool's pricing a five out of ten."
"I would say that it's affordable. It costs much less than Sentinel One, CrowdStrike, or anything of that nature. But, at the same time, you are getting what you pay for. So I would say it's one of the best when you're comparing traditional NextGen AVs like Webroot that aren't the best in the bunch."
"The licensing is per seat, with clients being a little less expensive than servers. If we need more licenses, we can accomplish that within a day. As Malwarebytes adds new features to their product, such as DNS filtering and a patching module, they want to charge us more even though we're a premium user, which isn't ideal."
"It's an annual subscription."
"The price of Apex One is competitive and lower than the prices of the solutions we compared it to."
"It is a little bit more expensive than other solutions."
"It has a per-user license."
"If I compare Trend Micro Apex One with other solutions there are a few challenges for customers who have do not need more licenses. Sometimes the customers struggle because this product is totally an enterprise solution, and the price for the licenses can be expensive for individuals or small organizations."
"We have the smallest package of Trend Micro Apex One. The full package is expensive, and it was more expensive than we thought."
"Its pricing should be improved."
"The SaaS version is competitively priced and amazingly easy to set up."
