Managing application health has become simpler but new monitoring features still need faster delivery
I use application discovery and dependency mapping. It helps with managing application health What I like about ManageEngine Applications Manager is the ease of use and ease of deployment. I cannot remember anything specific for future updates of the product. The new features take a lot of time…

Real-time monitoring has improved our banking API performance and supports detailed business transaction analysis
The real-time monitoring is what we can see for anything that is needed in terms of CPU, memory, or the connections or the sessions related. It's real-time monitoring of performance of each of the components, which is what we need and use all the time. It's highly effective, I would say. Infrastructure visibility, transaction monitoring, to check the actual user experience in terms of the response time, MRT and all those things. We do the component monitoring like the API performance and the connections and all those things, but we also do the business process monitoring and business transaction monitoring.

Pros

"The most valuable features are: Takes care of all IT monitoring in one console: Server, apps and business services."
"Its price and the flexibility to deploy are the most valuable. Flexibility is very important, and you can scale from very basic to more complex. This solution is a part of a complete suite of management tools. So, it can be integrated with other solutions for monitoring networks, which is very important. You can expand it or interconnect it with many other tools, which is a powerful feature. We have a very good and long relationship with ManageEngine support guys. They provide very good support for us."
"The initial setup was straightforward, without complexity."
"For a small organization, I think ManageEngine is pretty nice, I think it's enough."
"ManageEngine Applications Manager's installation is pretty easy."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to be able to monitor Kubernetes."
"The product has the ability to drill down to the errors whenever we have issues."
"Quicker turnaround on finding/resolving issues or improving performance, which leads to improved client experiences."
"This solution is easy to use and very powerful, it is a complete tool for us."
"AppDynamics makes it very clear when and where the issue is occurring and it makes us quickly find and solve the root of the problem, helping us foster more trust in our teams and the applications those teams build because everyone is being monitored by the same application."
"The feature that is most valuable to us is the snapshot feature; it allows us to get a snapshot of different SQL scripts that are being executed simultaneously and we can identify everything we need on them."
"AppDynamics allows users a complete application monitoring solution for making better products and applications."
"We have cut our MTTR by half just by deploying agents."
"The most valuable feature is the one that enables you to have visibility into the end-users journey."

Cons

"My suggestion for improving this feature is to also monitor the end-user experience for application clients and servers."
"More modem support for SMS feature."
"They can improve the post-processing of the data."
"An area for improvement in ManageEngine Applications Manager is artificial intelligence. If AI is integrated into the solution, it'll be a piece of cake. Currently, it's all configured manually."
"I would like the solution to improve the ability to track services."
"Lacks an SIEM solution which can be found in other products."
"Even with the top-notch dashboard, it could be made stronger with an additional plug-in for analytics."
"One area of improvement is the dashboard should be more readable and available."
"There may be some older technologies that are still covered, however, it's not as plug-and-play."
"It could be a little more flexible in configuration on the back end."
"At this time, we don't have much visibility on the virtual environment, monitoring, and all other things."
"I would like to see improvements with the dashboards. Dashboards and reports is where we see a lot of lag."
"I think the only feedback from my team has been that it's not an HTML based UI right now, so it's limited on mobile devices."
"AppDynamics is dealing with a lot of products and technologies, so we need to have clear documentation."
"More native support for other hardware is needed because having to install various extensions and perform extra setup for different devices is really challenging, and not as easy or straightforward as it is in other products."
"AppDynamics Database Monitoring could improve the price of the solution, it is costly."

Mobile monitoring is paid based on the number of instances utilizing the mobile monitoring service, which increases as the scale grows. Consequently, your mobile user count can proportionally surpass all other applications."
"There is a license for the solution and we paid approximately $2,000. There is also an additional cost above the standard license which cost us approximately $3,000."
