The solution's activity monitoring is valuable, but it should have more integrations and updates overall
Our primary use case for this solution is activity, authentication, and scans for audit purposes and priority assessments The feature I have found most valuable is activity monitoring. McAfee has not had many legacy features. They are not updating their value adjustment. In the next feature, I'd…

Auditing has become tamper-proof and now secures sensitive financial transaction data
The most useful feature of Oracle Audit Vault is its ability to ensure that audits are immutable, as mandated by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs guidelines whenever an audit is happening for a single transaction, mainly for financial transactions. It separates the Oracle databases' information that is being audited and stores it in a separate location where no user has access, including the Oracle Audit Vault admin, ensuring that no one can change or modify that particular record, providing utmost security. User activity reports in Oracle Audit Vault are fantastic, informative, and specific. When a user makes any changes, both the pre-change values and the post-change values are captured and presented to the auditors perfectly, showing what the particular column had before and after the update, along with the user who made the change and the time of the change. Regarding automated policy enforcement in Oracle Audit Vault, I have experience with it, and I find it very important. Oracle Audit Vault fully supports compliance management for companies, with no doubt about its capability to maintain compliance from both audit and security threat perspectives. The correlation engine in Oracle Audit Vault is effective. It includes a data firewall as part of its features, so the threat mechanism allows users to block, snip, and capture all threats happening in the network.

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The support is very good. They are very quick to respond when we have issues."
"The technical support is good; they are knowledgeable."
"For the most part, technical support has been great."

"A powerful, flexible solution for database traffic monitoring."

"The setup for Audit Vault is relatively simple."
"All companies are looking to secure their data because people around the world are stealing data from IT, banks, and other companies."
"This solution acts as a complete data warehouse for our audit data."
"By integrating two major functions (auditing and database firewall) into a single product, it became easier to use and the scope is really wide."
"Overall, this solution delivers what it is intended to do and we are quite happy with the product."

Cons

"Technical support could be more responsive."
"The UI needs to be improved."
"The endpoint security is terrible."
"In the next feature, I'd like to see more integrations and updates overall, specifically bottom tech."
"The price factor makes it out of reach for small players in the IT industry."

"For technical support, I find it only sustainable. I am not satisfied with the technical support provided."
"This product is not stable for large environments with more than 50 targets."
"Although Oracle Audit Vault and Database Firewall serves as a critical detective and preventive control to protect against the abuse of legitimate access to databases responsible for almost all data breaches and cyber attacks, using Database Firewall to identify and capturing audit logs of real users, especially on applications using generic users to access the database, is an uphill task."
"We would like to see the ability to administer and manage the solution through Enterprise Manager 13c, and development of the dashboards that are generally missing."
"All departments of this product need to be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's not expensive compared to other products that are available."
"This solution is definitely not expensive, and it is a small fraction of the overall database licensing costs."
"For the bank, the license was $48,000 last time. That was the licensing for the bank on just one license."
"Oracle can be an expensive solution depending on the options and user needs."
"The licensing cost is about $360,000, annually."
