Virtual tours have transformed how we present properties and save time on client visits
The best features of Matterport for me include the dollhouse view, which provides a great overview when loading the project, and the measurement tool, which allows me to measure the distance between two points. This feature helps considerably, giving people a clear understanding of the actual sizes and measurements inside the units, and we have received great feedback regarding that. While Matterport is a component of our overall user journey, its impact includes time savings, fewer onsite visits, and smoother client communication. I cannot say that the benefits are solely due to Matterport, as we could have realized similar benefits with any comparable tool, but it plays an important role in enhancing our immersive experience applications.

Has simplified cloud deployments for retail environments but needs more advanced features and better pricing
The pricing of Meraki SD-WAN depends compared to which vendors, because it's a bit pricey, so not all retail would go for it unless it's a big retail company, but it depends on your comparison. I usually recommend multiple vendors in mind because it depends on the customer's requirements; you have Fortinet, you have Aruba, you have Huawei, and you have multiple options that may be cheaper than Cisco. Regarding Meraki SD-WAN functionality, it depends on the situation, but I would recommend this product if they have the money. It all comes down to the requirements first because I try to fit the best solution for them. It doesn't depend only if I'm carrying only Cisco, it depends on what their exact requirements are. Cisco is one of the top vendors with the most stable performance in many solutions, but it all comes down to the customer requirements. Mainly the pricing is a concern, and it doesn't fit enterprise customers. For enterprise-grade customers, it's not going to fit; it's not possible to use Meraki SD-WAN. It's not just because of the price; it's for enterprise because of the limitation in features and capabilities. Meraki SD-WAN is not fit for enterprise-grade customers or big deployments.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Megaport impacts my organization by not necessarily lowering cost, but it reduces a lot of time and increases the bandwidth, which increases the performance, especially in terms of overall company performance and network performance."
"I would suggest anyone considering Matterport for physical properties use it, as it is really smooth and fast."
"The pricing model of Megaport is appealing, along with its flexibility in providing connectivity to end customers."
"It is actually pretty important for us; our day starts with Megaport."
"The solution's technical support is good."
"The Meraki SD-WAN solution is simple to deploy."
"Meraki SD-WAN saves costs for our customers and provides better connectivity."
"They're known for their ease of use and ubiquitous management platform that covers everything. Meraki really excels in plug-and-play solutions. You just plug it up, and everything works. All of the components—the firewall/router, the switches, the access points, the cameras—work very nicely together, and they all can be managed from one platform. That is probably their biggest selling point. Everything comes in one ubiquitous package, and you don't have to manage different components from different platforms. You can see everything from one platform."
"The user interface that Meraki has, especially its integration into cloud management of traffic, is simplified and allows you to manage your entire network from a single pane of glass, which adds significant value."
"The solution operates via zero-touch configuration."
"In my experience, Meraki is very easy, simple, and clear to set up and use."
"The solution is pretty easy to configure."

Cons

"There are no notable complaints from customers regarding Megaport, and there hasn't been any identified need for improvement."
"I wish Matterport had a mini map feature to show where we are within the property floor plan."
"However, the part that can improve is that it should be a little bit easier to use and more user-friendly."
"My suggestion would be for Megaport to make the terminal more user-friendly; I use Windows, so it's not a problem, but I'm not sure how it would work in Linux or Ubuntu-based systems."
"There are currently issues with NAT-Unfriendly situations on G4 networks that should be resolved."
"You need to have internet access to configure the solution. You cannot do it locally, there should be a local option."
"Meraki does not have a very good support system in India."
"I would not recommend this tool to very large-scale organizations."
"The solution needs to enact more advanced protections."
"Scalability could be improved. Yes, you can add more than 300 or 400 sites onto it, but because it's not a true SD-WAN and, effectively, it's just a Multi-VRF, it's all hub and spoke at that point. That's the nature of the design, but that's what keeps it simple to administer. So, it's a trade off."
"The solution could be improved if it added more features, especially monitoring and reporting features."
"The advanced license is expensive. Part of the cost involved is high."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"I am not aware of the licensing fees."
"Pricing is a significant concern for me. Amongst all the firewall brands, Cisco is one of the most expensive options. Despite its reputation and security features, many customers opt for other brands, such as SonicWall because of their lower prices. These other brands offer similar features to Cisco but at a lower cost. Cisco's pricing is something that could be improved to attract more customers. The brand has a good reputation, but when it comes to budgeting and pricing, it is not always the first choice."
"Meraki solutions come with a choice of several different subscription options including one year, three years, five years, seven years, and ten years."
"One of the most valuable aspects of Meraki SD-WAN is the price. It is highly cost-effective."
"The tool is costly. I rate the tool's price as a ten out of ten since it is very expensive."
"Meraki's pricing is on the higher side, which may limit who can afford to use them."
"The licenses cost a fortune."
"They have a baseline software license, and then they've got an SD-WAN software license, and then they've got an advanced security software license. They're low cost, and they'll provide any amount of flexibility that you want from a modeling perspective for payment. Typically, it's either annually or multi-year, but they are a lower-cost company. They're not the most expensive by far."
