Prisma Cloud and Netlify Web Development Cloud are competing products in the security management and web development categories. Netlify Web Development Cloud is seen as the more comprehensive solution due to its robust feature set.
Features: Prisma Cloud offers threat detection, compliance, and anomaly detection. Netlify Web Development Cloud provides cutting-edge development tools, seamless integrations, and automation features.
Ease of Deployment and Customer Service: Prisma Cloud provides a multidimensional deployment model that focuses on scalability and security, while Netlify offers a straightforward deployment experience with a responsive customer service.
Pricing and ROI: Prisma Cloud’s pricing is praised for its transparency and competitive models focusing on security cost savings. Netlify’s setup may have higher initial costs, but its efficiency in development cycles often results in long-term savings.
Time saved is exponential because the amount of work that gets done in a sprint is accelerated because of Netlify Platform.
It already improved the developer experience and also the client experience with us, and even the management experience and the testing experience.
There was a lot of money saved, as we were building the application from scratch and paying employees using our own technical skills to build the application.
It eliminates the need for additional hardware, making it a financially and technically sound investment.
Reputation and data security are the two most important things to a financial institution.
We may have prevented a security breach with remediation of the findings.
However, I see there are options for AI and customer service; before going to customer service, we can select the AI and get help most of the time, as everything is documented.
The response was timely and helpful, and the issues were resolved efficiently.
Netlify Platform's customer support is excellent.
They can respond with technical documentation or pass on the case to the next level because it requires the development of a new feature or changing a feature due to a bug.
Anywhere we raise a tech case, they revert back within an hour.
I would give them 10 out of 10.
The performance stays consistent globally.
There are no issues regarding scalability.
It helps you avoid any errors or bugs in the application, which helps you fix errors too, with automatic testing rather than manual testing.
There aren't any limits to Prisma Cloud's scalability.
Scalability within the credit limit is good. It is 100%.
I would rate it a ten out of ten for scalability.
In terms of scalability, it scales very well and easily handles increased traffic, more projects, and growing team usage without any additional infrastructure effort from our side.
It's completely, in my view, 100% stable and always available.
Netlify Platform is generally stable, and I have not experienced significant downtime or issues.
I would rate it a ten out of ten for stability.
The cloud environment is dynamic, so the tool must be dynamic.
We had to build the system twice because of environmental issues.
Additionally, more advanced monitoring and logging features inside the platform would be very useful for troubleshooting.
You can add integrations such as API services and a secret service so that users do not have to manage environment variables manually through the GUI or web service.
The improvement must be a powerful back-end support like APIs and databases.
Prisma Cloud is an excellent tool.
We could have deployed the runtime monitoring with Prisma Cloud by Palo Alto Networks, but within our organization at our company, it was very difficult to find who would be the owner for the alerts.
Even though documentation was available, it took a while for a new person to understand what integration meant, what will be achieved after the integration, or how the integration needed to be done on the Azure or AWS side.
We recommend it for deployment to clients who cannot afford larger budgets for Vercel or AWS.
Since I use the free tier, there is no question about pricing or setup costs.
It was just a monthly subscription.
The cost was not on the higher side.
If you are using a single tool like Prisma Cloud, with a single license, you can monitor all environments, such as Google Cloud, Azure, AWS, and Oracle Cloud.
The pricing is on par with the competitors.
The best feature of Netlify Platform is how easily I am able to integrate it with GitHub and GitLab, along with how user-friendly it is.
I have used multiple plugins within it, and they are quite easy to use, such as adding environment variables, adding secrets, and adjusting the size of the hosted application, which means the memory, CPU, and virtual CPU memory are very convenient for me to manage.
When it comes to the new modern frameworks, all the other platforms require extra configurations to get deployed into the DNS servers, but using Netlify Platform, it is easy; everything is handled by Netlify Platform in the backend, and the deployment process and all the CI/CD pipeline that Netlify Platform handles is something which is good in regard to the modern frameworks which are used nowadays.
Prisma Cloud's most valuable feature is its user identification capabilities. By integrating with Active Directory or LDAP servers, it efficiently manages user access to cloud resources.
From the compliance and governance perspective, we can create custom policies or custom compliance and governance rules as per various industries or compliance standards, such as HIPAA, PCI DSS, and NIST.
One solution can cover runtime for EC2 systems, containers, and Fargate.
