It's a user-friendly cloud-based solution that startups and small businesses can afford
Setting up NetSuite ERP is pretty straightforward. It's a plug-and-play solution that comes with the default bundle. We uploaded our GLs and charter accounts and added our company code to the architecture. It can be up and running in under a month. It takes at least five people to deploy NetSuite.

Seamless subsidiary operation visibility with efficient accounting consolidation
One of the most valuable features that I appreciate is the ability to consolidate operations across subsidiaries, which makes accounting consolidation great. The multicurrency reevaluation offered by OneWorld enables consolidation from different branches, such as country or continent levels, making it a powerful feature. Additionally, there is visibility into all operations within the subsidiaries, facilitating awareness of sales, purchases, and manufacturing activities.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I have found there to be many features, such as manufacturing, accounting, financials, inventory, and purchasing."
"It is a very solid product for finance and procure-to-pay processes."
"We use it for the projects we do in the telecom industry."
"The most valuable feature in NetSuite ERP is the user interface."
"NetSuite ERP is a user-friendly cloud-based solution that posts into the GL in real time. You can see your profitability at the order level."
"We can install the bundles based on our needs."
"I recommend this product to professional services companies and those with complex international financial requirements. NetSuite ERP has strong capabilities in the finance domain that other ERPs may lack."
"As NetSuite ERP is a cloud product, a valuable feature I found in it is the very friendly user interface. You can set up shortcuts within the applications for frequently used reports or navigation. You can also customize dashboards in NetSuite ERP. Another feature I found valuable in the solution is good reporting. It has many industry-standard reports focused on finance and inventory. I also like the seamless switching between production and test environments and that you can customize the environments within NetSuite ERP. For example, you can put banners on your test and production environments to differentiate or segregate the logins to prevent mistakes. The solution is pretty easy to use and navigate, and it's more of a lightweight software. I like that it's a cloud product, so work is done on the front end rather than the back end. There's also a community for NetSuite ERP where you can raise your queries and issues. You'll find other people sharing experiences about common issues so you can get quick fixes from the community."
"NetSuite OneWorld, the consolidation feature has been incredibly valuable. However, I cannot speak to the full range of features and functionalities offered by OneWorld as I am not familiar with all of them. I have utilized OneWorld primarily in the biotech industry, with a focus on operating expenses and financial reporting, such as capital contributions and foreign currency adjustments. I am confident, however, that OneWorld offers a robust module for reporting and consolidating revenue, though I have not had the opportunity to directly utilize this aspect of the software."
"I rate the OneWorld overall solution as a ten out of ten."
"Allows us to use it the way we need to instead of changing our needs and processes to fit the product."
"The executive dashboards have satisfied the founders and leadership with up to the minute information. This allows them to make high level decisions."
"Utilizes best practices that are simple to implement."
"NetSuite is a great solution, fast to bring up and makes everyone's life easier."
"Inventory management in NetSuite OneWorld is one of the best in the industry, so this feature is what I like most about the solution."
"Lowers costs, produces higher efficiencies, while maintaining a leaner staff and produces advanced financials."

Cons

"It would be great if they offered localization for Central America."
"The pricing is high."
"The main implementation challenge is finding experienced consultants to translate customer needs into NetSuite ERP's standard functionality. The second challenge is getting enough time from customers for proper implementation."
"If they could provide more integration options to connect with different products, that would be ideal."
"Improvement-wise, it should be more customizable. Currently, you can't enhance the product yourself in terms of development for any applications unless you've got a very strong and big development team. Those are the skills that are in very short supply."
"The custom reports could be improved."
"The solution could be more stable."
"The manufacturing and planning side could be improved. That part isn't up to date. NetSuite could be easier to integrate in general."
"I hope NetSuite OneWorld introduces features like support for different pricing models, including packaging options, and improved production planning tools in the future."
"The Project Management User Interface is lacking."
"Needs time entry for billable employees."
"There is not a 20 year pedigree of pharma experience in the NetSuite channel. While there are many of these CMO Pharma companies rapidly moving to NetSuite, there are few consultants with true pharma experience. Those who have experience are stretched pretty thin."
"If a faster solution is desired, a separate dedicated machine must be hired, which is not what customers necessarily need."
"Certain analytics features are missing that I've come to expect from other systems. Additionally, there are occasional issues with data accuracy that need to be addressed. Overall, deeper analytics capabilities would greatly improve the tool's usefulness for me."
"I don’t like the SaaS models. Of course, they make the tool powerful enough to run a billion-dollar business. The tool is cheaper than SAP or Core."
"Some entities are not available for multiple subsidiaries, which requires duplication."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"There is an annual license required to use this solution."
"It is completely on a subscription basis. We pay yearly and, and you do not have to do anything on a monthly basis. Prices depend on the organization's scale and all those things, but they are doing a good job with the pricing."
"When people buy ERP, it's a competitive situation and the pricing is paramount."
"It is expensive."
"The price of the solution is quite high."
"It's very competitively priced due to it being a subscription model. So, clients are quite happy with the pricing. I would rate it an eight out of ten in terms of pricing."
"Pricing for NetSuite ERP is okay, but it could be better. The licensing model for NetSuite ERP is based on the number of modules and users. The standard license covers up to twenty-five users. If you have more than twenty-five users, you'll have to buy the premium license, which would double the price. For one module with five user licenses, the cost is between $40,000 to $50,000."
"Regarding costs, it's not just about licensing. Customization recurring costs can become expensive over five to eight years, especially with new releases. However, NetSuite ERP integrates well with third-party applications, so it can still be used for finance while another ERP is used for localized production."
"Measure twice, cut once."
"I would rate the pricing of the solution somewhere around six or seven out of ten. I don’t like the SaaS models. Of course, they make the tool powerful enough to run a billion-dollar business. The tool is cheaper than SAP or Cor"
"Good solution for the price, but hire a skilled project manager to handle the technical setup."
"The tool is an expensive cloud application. It charges per license. We pay around 50 euros per month for a full user, and for 70 users, we pay around 120,000 euros per year. Maintenance and support are included in the full cloud license."
"NetSuite OneWorld has fair pricing. It was not very expensive, so price-wise, I'm rating it as five out of ten."
"Do not try to go it alone. Get a consultant who has been there and listens."
"Consider the roles of the employees who will use NetSuite and identify any groups who will only utilize the employee center. These licenses are cheaper and will reduce costs significantly."
"NetSuite OneWorld tends to be pricey. The decision to allocate a budget for this solution ultimately rests with the management and negotiating team, and I am not typically included in these discussions. Nonetheless, the information I've received leads me to believe that it is a costly platform. There are not any additional costs that I am aware of."
