Automates processes efficiently with cost-effective scaling and robust customer support
Web scraping is quite good since it offers a lot of possibilities. Another important feature for me is its compatibility with MBI, the Power that is ISEQUADO Centers. I appreciate the ability to scale and increase the number of bots or studios without additional expense. Automate's non-reliance on additional orchestrators makes it quite cost-effective.

It lets us automate almost anything and is very easy to work with
It currently supports only on-premises deployments. They can include support for cloud deployments. It should provide us the ability to choose a robot for executing a workflow. We want to control which robot executes a certain workflow. Right now, it automatically chooses the robot that is going to execute our workflow. It should also provide the ability to get filters on the outputs of the steps. We have each workflow as a step, and each step has some output. We would like to have the functionality to execute some script or some logic on these outputs to format the tests directly on the variables.

Automation streamlines onboarding and reduces the load on customer service agents
As the head of the division, I do not use UiPath myself. However, I am the decision-maker, so I review the features. The combination of both full-attended and half-attended automation, where you can automate tasks and still interact when required, is very useful. It provides efficiency by freeing staff from unnecessary tasks, resulting in a balanced workload and more productive use of an employee's time. The tool has a noticeable ROI, and the investment is worth every penny as it reduces tedious tasks and improves scalability. It is very easy to use. During the COVID lockdown, my son who was 11 at the time attended a UiPath and Automation Anywhere training with me. He has already automated his school tasks requiring saving data and uploading some documents to the portal. If a kid can do this, it shows how easy it is.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The best feature of Automate is its ease of use, which is a major selling point."
"The ability to connect to websites and pull data is the solution's most valuable feature."
"This product is quite easy to install, learn, and use, with our new employees being able to start using it in projects for clients after only two weeks of internal training."
"We have tried other RPA solutions like UiPath or Automation Anywhere. They are fantastic products but complex, and it's hard to understand everything. It would be best if you had a skilled developer or several. Automate is easy to implement, administer, and use. It's appropriate for us because our cases are simple and easy to automate. We don't need complicated tools with many features; We prefer to get a significant ROI quickly."
"The licensing of the product is very good. You only need to license it once and then you have it forever."
"I would rate the technical support as a nine out of ten because it is quite fast and courteous."
"I actually quite liked the no-coding functionality."
"It gives us a central place to schedule tasks and run them distributed."
"It lets us automate almost anything, even with the legacy tools. It is very easy for us now to automate with legacy tools, which used to be difficult earlier. We work with a lot of other automation tools from Micro Focus, such as Operation Orchestration, but these tools can only connect to the API. So, there was a gap when we wanted to automate older and legacy tools that didn't have any API to connect to. We can now also automate without any changes in the customer environment. We don't need to change anything in the way that the customer environment works."
"UiPath has helped speed up digital transformation and significantly reduced the cost of digital transformation."
"I enjoy the enhancement of UiPath's debugging tools. I like the IDE and integration services. There have been massive improvements. I love to work with Orchestrator. It has become more streamlined and helpful."
"The queue feature is the most interesting to me because it allows us to work on a list of tasks in parallel on several robots."
"We had a cost reduction of approximately 20% in our operations."
"The user-friendly interface allows users to visually plan and design various automation processes through it."
"The Task Mining is one feature that is very helpful to any business analyst. I do business analysis, and the info that I produce goes to our UiPath team to develop automations."
"I found UiPath nicer than other RPA tools. I like that its enterprise version is pretty user-friendly."
"The initial setup was pretty straightforward."

Cons

"We really need a free development environment for customers. Building and testing automation on production isn't ideal."
"I find that most important features are strong, however, there is a lack of good development for artificial intelligence, such as machine learning."
"Sometimes when we communicate with the ERP system and there is an issue, we are not always aware of the specifics of Automate and the source of the problem."
"The documentation is not that great."
"I would like the updates to be easier to deploy. Integration with Amazon S3 is somewhat lacking."
"There is a lack of good development for artificial intelligence, such as machine learning."
"The solution has a very weak knowledge base."
"I would like the updates to be easier to deploy. Integration with Amazon S3 is somewhat lacking."

We want to control which robot executes a certain workflow. Right now, it automatically chooses the robot that is going to execute our workflow. We would like to have the functionality to execute some script or some logic on these outputs to format the tests directly on the variables."
"Being able to escalate quickly is not a strength for UiPath and may be a focus area."
"Licensing is one area where UiPath could do better and can be more competitive. It is a little expensive. Their bundling of products is a bit confusing. For instance, if we want the UiPath Apps license, it is bundled with Action Center, so you also have to procure the Action Center license. These bundles are not tailored as per our company's requirements. If we reach out to the UiPath partners who deal with the accounts, they usually take your request into consideration and see what best they can do, but it is still not easily customizable."
"One way to improve the UiPath Academy, I think, would be to add some real life use cases and take the students through the automation process. These would be good for citizen developers to start with."
"Support should be improved."
"It was quite new for me and it took time to adjust to it and understand it. At times, some processes took longer with the tool, initially. But when you do them on a regular basis, you understand it better and it takes much less time. Setting up the systems could be difficult initially. It would be better if it were more user-friendly for non-technical users."
"The initial setup started off as straightforward, however, it can easily get complex. For example, not knowing the other applications and what it takes to interact with them will make things a bit more complicated."
"The initial setup was a bit complex. It could be better, especially with Orchestrator."
"The document understanding has room for improvement. The handwritten documents need to be optimized further on the OCR extraction, making sure that we extract accuracy above 80% because we do see a lot of failure rates when it comes to handwritten documents."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Once you buy the software, you just pay for the support for backend help."
"It comes with a package that costs approximately $20,000 USD per year."
"From a distributor's perspective, one of the biggest selling points of Automate is its price point."
"Compared to other products, the pricing model for this solution is much more convenient, flexible, and adaptable to the Portuguese reality."
"The cost is a bit high for a small business like ours, but we manage with Fortra's Automate."
"It has gone up in price. The price of Fortra's Automate has increased since we first started using it. It does a lot but also costs a lot. It was a lot more affordable before Fortra owned the software."
"I believe the price falls within a reasonable range, which significantly influenced our decision regarding the product. This aspect is crucial for any technological solution, especially in our country where enterprises might be hesitant to invest heavily in something untested or uncertain about its practicality and potential returns."
"While solutions like UiPath and Blue Prism cost around $11,000-$12,000 for each license, this product costs around $7,000 and you can keep it forever."
"The pricing model is very straightforward. You can have a one-year or three-year subscription. You pay for each robot that you want to use simultaneously. If you want, you can install 50 robots and get 50 licenses. If you want to use only one robot at a time, you just need one license. For each license, you pay around 10% or 15% to support. You pay for the license, and you pay a small percentage of the cost of the license for support. This is their licensing model, which is very easy to understand."
"As compared to the competition, its pricing is on the higher side. However, looking at the services you are getting, it is justified. It allows you to cater to more use cases."
"UiPath is not cheap."
"I can't speak to the exact price, however, recently I heard in a meeting that one license for Studio Path costs 2,825 Euros per year. This price is approximate and may fluctuate."
"UiPath is more expensive than other automation services, but the ROI justifies the cost."
"The UiPath license is a little expensive, but we get a lot of good features for the price."
"The solution's pricing is a challenge. Every time I go to renew my contract, the prices increase. It is getting expensive."
"Pricing is quite reasonable with UiPath and there are some tools which are free to use."
"Our licensing fees for this solution are €68,000 (approximately $75,000 USD) yearly."
