Room For Improvement

Planisware needs improved integration, user interface, project management tools, and support for better collaboration and Agile methodology compliance.
Users want better data management, UI, integration, security, support, and Excel-like features in Smartsheet.
The integrations to Agile are essential; we had to do a full build to accomplish that.
Solution Architect at Think People
We have experienced crashes in Planisware and system slowdowns.
Planisware Developer at a manufacturing company with 10,001+ employees
The reports should be improved because all companies now need reporting, and with tools such as Grafana or Tableau, Planisware needs to add interfaces for data lakes since all companies require this.
Responsible for the Project Infrastructure at Comutitres
I have a novice understanding of Smartsheet, so I sought a solution more suited to repeatable projects and process-oriented governance.
Strategic Programs Vice President, Project Management Office at a financial services firm with 11-50 employees

Setup Cost

Planisware is costly with various licenses and requires significant investment in setup, support, and training for effective integration.
Smartsheet pricing is user-based, varies by plan, and advanced features can increase costs compared to competitors like Microsoft Project.
I recommend planning for a playground environment (similar to develop) to allow pretesting of new releases without disturbing the integrity of the current develop environment).
Planisware Consultant at Comcast Business
Licensing might be cheaper per user.
Project Manager at a university with 1,001-5,000 employees

Capably brings single source of truth to enterprise project portfolio management; provides consequential, flexible data display with effective visualization; integrated use of Agile, Kanban
Planisware helpfully distributes incremental updates on a quarterly schedule. Extent of the client base and collective user expectations push priority improvements into new versions and resolve rare technical glitches rapidly. What any single user or small client may earnestly request for increasing productivity may take years for development to start—unless one pays rather dearly for underwriting special services from Planisware’s offshore support group. Individual users, particularly those who suddenly lack affiliation with a paying client between jobs have been bottom priority in my experience. Service tickets don’t apply for this category of formerly active users. I recommend that Planisware provides formerly active users privilege of connectivity with Planisware “playground” environments that are periodically refreshed with a current release version. This new option would cultivate “hands on” proficiency in the overall Planisware user community.

Automation simplifies manual tasks and facilitates team communication
There are many useful features in Smartsheet. One can easily share plans with the entire team, and it functions similarly to Microsoft Project. Creating dependencies across all tasks is smooth, and team members can make adjustments if necessary. Automation helps by simplifying some manual work, saving time and facilitating communication.
