Has automated recurring data flows and improved accuracy in reporting
The best features of Talend Data Integration are its rich set of components that let you connect to almost any data design intuitive and its strong automation and scheduling capabilities. The TMap component is especially valuable because it allows flexible transformation, joins, and filtering in a single place. I also rely a lot on context variables to manage different environments like Dev, Test, and production, without changing the code. The error handling and logging tools are very helpful for monitoring and troubleshooting, which makes the workflow more reliable. Talend Data Integration has helped our company by automating and standardizing data processes. Before, many of these tasks were done manually, which took more time and often led to errors. With Talend Data Integration, we built automated pipelines that extract, clean, and load data consistently. This not only saves hours of manual effort, but also improves the accuracy and reliability of data. As a result, business teams had faster access to trustworthy information for reporting and decision making, which directly improved efficiency and productivity. Talend Data Integration has had a measurable impact on our organization. By automating daily data loading processes, we reduced manual effort by around three or four hours per day, which saved roughly 60 to 80 hours per month. We also improved data accuracy. Error rates dropped by more than 70% because validation rules were built into the jobs. In addition, reporting teams now receive fresh data at least 50% faster, which means they can make decisions earlier and with more confidence. Overall, Talend Data Integration has increased both efficiency and reliability in our data workflows.

Is easy to deploy and is stable and scalable
I like the load balancing feature The normalization factor should be improved so that it is better scaled. It should be more user-friendly. It should be easier to export reports. I've been using SQL Power Data Quality for 10 years. SQL Power Data Quality is stable. It is a scalable solution.…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The features that I like the most are the simplicity of the interface, and the ability to quickly develop with a predefined component."
"I really like the fact that there are no out-of-the-box solutions regarding the development of jobs. Other vendors may have modules which cleanse your addresses. In Talend, you have the freedom to completely develop the process yourself. This can be tricky, but it also makes it fun."
"If your use case depends on heterogeneous sources like Salesforce, SAP, and some other product information systems, I would recommend Talend."
"The wide range of components which suits a variety of purposes and provides a flexible development environment to the coder."
"The jobs are visual and this has improved collaboration between colleagues. It’s much easier to understand a visual job than a piece of Java code."
"The most valuable feature lies in the capability to assign data quality issues to different stakeholders, facilitating the tracking and resolution of defective work."
"With its frequency function, we were able to pick a line of business to be addressed first in one of our conversion projects."
"Qlik Talend Cloud has had a positive impact on my organization by automating data integration processes, reducing manual errors, and ensuring reliable and up-to-date data for reports and business decisions."
"It is a scalable solution. We have over 1,000 SQL Power Data Quality users in our organization."
"The solution is very easy to use and it's quite flexible."
"The solution is able to integrate with many systems and other products."
"The Nomo, select form, and so on are the most valuable features."
"SQL Power Data Quality is truly a proven product that makes the work of cleaning data in both source and target data easy yet efficient."

Cons

"In redundancy analysis, the query is failing to bring non-matched records. This query is an internal script. There is no way (that I know of) to fix this syntax error for future runs."
"First, We faced problems with stability of the products."
"Qlik Talend Cloud could be improved with more advanced monitoring and flexible alerts, as well as better job performance visibility."
"When we upgraded to Version 6.4.1, we tried using a GIT repository instead of a SVN repository. After a few incidents where things disappeared and changes were not saved, we decided to go back to a SVN repository."
"There are no concurrent licenses, they only have seat licenses on cloud. That's the whole challenge. For example, if in any project your headcount increases or decreases, you do not have that concurrence and you have a seat license, you run into challenges because you have to procure a few more licenses for getting the job done."
"I'd be interested in seeing the running of Python programs and transformations from within the studio itself."
"There are more functions in a non-streamlined manner, which could be refined to arrive at a better off-the-shelf functions."
"With M rows, it runs too slowly and has memory issues."
"Downtime issues should be improved."
"The only area of improvement that we've come across within the solution was the portfolio roadmap creation. There's a bit of limitation there, but otherwise, the tool itself is very good."
"The normalization factor should be improved so that it is better scaled. It should be more user-friendly."
"Integrating SQL Power with the system is challenging especially in places where no tutorials found and new versions continue to be released with varying requirements."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The licensing cost is about 40,000 Euros a year."
"The price of the Talend Data Management Platform is reasonable. The other competing solutions are priced high. Gartner Magic Quadrant identified other solutions, such as Informatica, that are far more expensive."
"The product pricing is considered very good, especially compared to other data integration tools in the market."
"I have been using the open-source version."
"I would advise to first take a look and at the Open Studio edition. Figure out what you need and purchase the appropriate license."
"License renewal is on a yearly basis."
"It's a subscription-based platform, we renew it every year."
"The pricing is a little higher than what I had expected, but it's comparable with I-PASS competitors."
