Centralized control has strengthened privileged security and simplified audit investigations
While One Identity Safeguard is a strong and reliable PAM solution, there are a few areas where it can be further improved to enhance user experience and scalability. Regarding the user interface and experience, the UI, while functional, can be a bit complex for new users. A more intuitive and modern dashboard with simplified navigation would improve adoption, especially for non-technical stakeholders. Regarding integration flexibility, although it supports major integrations, expanding out-of-the-box connectors for more cloud-native apps, DevOps tools, and SaaS platforms would be beneficial. Faster and simpler API-based integrations could reduce deployment efforts. Regarding scalability and performance in large enterprise environments, performance tuning and scaling can require additional efforts. Enhancing seamless scalability and high availability configuration would improve enterprise readiness.

Granular access controls and real-time session oversight have strengthened our compliance posture
I find the session recording feature of senhasegura Session Management awesome compared to BeyondTrust. Regarding automation in senhasegura Session Management, when configured properly, if you have done anything wrong, you will get an alert message stating that we need to do something because it is a dangerous situation, and it will not accept any wrong configuration until it is perfect. With reporting, senhasegura Session Management real-time reporting assists organizations in handling compliance violations as they are already compliant with the NCA, National Cyber Authority, and they have received the green signal for them. I assess the effectiveness of senhasegura Session Management in implementing granular access control as very good. I have found that they made it very easy to configure. There is no issue; anyone with a basic knowledge of IT can implement senhasegura Session Management.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The scalability of One Identity Safeguard is perfect, scoring ten out of ten."
"Safeguard by One Identity has positively impacted my organization by improving overall access management, making authentication more consistent, and reducing the manual efforts involved in managing user access."
"From my experience, the features are best for monitoring and the usage of LDAP and SSH."
"The system is easy to manage, as it is not a system that you will change everything all of a sudden. It evolves most of the time with customer requests."
"One Identity Safeguard is a game changer for us, especially for rapid business expansion and building trust with our clients."
"Since implementing Safeguard by One Identity, we have improved the security of privileged accounts by eliminating the need to share passwords and enforcing controlled access."
"We use the solution’s “transparent mode” feature for privileged sessions; it is very easy because it is only a simple configuration for our users, we don't have to modify our network, we install it, configure it, and it works, so it is super easy, and the rollout for our users is seamless."
"The solution transparently integrates into the infrastructure and users do not notice it. I would give this feature the highest rating."
"I trust senhasegura Session Management and believe that every customer and partner trusts the product; definitely, they will grow on the product."

Cons

"I would like to see support for RDP over HTTPS so this product can be used in conjunction with the Microsoft terminal."
"I would like to see an adjustment with more enterprise architecture. You can buy multiple appliances but you can not fully separate different functions, so scaling might be a bit more complicated."
"If I had to point out something that could be improved or is sometimes seen as missing, it would be user experience or UI."
"We have issues using Safeguard to record http/https connection in a video format. Currently, they don't have a mechanism to record this type of connection."
"One Identity Safeguard can be improved by fixing the documentation, which is very convoluted as of now, and addressing versioning, as some major bugs and issues are not documented well enough in the documentation, along with some patches and fixes."
"Unfortunately, my experience with Safeguard by One Identity's customer support is not very positive. They tend to respond slowly, generally do not find solutions effectively, and it is challenging to request calls that could resolve issues more quickly."
"The GUI has room for improvement because it is confusing and cumbersome."
"The main point regarding the user experience is that Safeguard has two separate management consoles."
"Support is one of the drawbacks or weak points I have noticed in senhasegura Session Management."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We bought their other products, so it was not that expensive. It is one of those where the more you buy, the cheaper it is."
"The pricing is about $80,000 per 100 servers. There are few elective costs."
"It is a bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. You don't want to get anything too cheap because then you get cheap stuff and cheap support. That really never helps anybody."
"They have comparable pricing. All identity products are essentially priced in a similar way. It's a per-user base."
"The pricing depends on our perspective, our budget, and, of course, the competitors we are taking into account."
"Our licensing costs are on a yearly basis."
"They offer a fair price for a robust solution."
"As compared to other products, it is reasonable, but the training sessions are too expensive."
