Unified vulnerability management has strengthened credential defenses and improves risk-based decisions
I believe Unified Vulnerability Management can improve by emphasizing continuous monitoring, which necessitates a dashboard for users. Creating more mobility, especially since many incidents occur outside regular hours, would be beneficial. If anything goes wrong, a mobile version or mobile dashboard could be extremely helpful. Mobility is now a mandatory capability, allowing users to manage vulnerabilities through mobile applications. Beyond mobility for Unified Vulnerability Management, more flexibility is also required. For example, vulnerability scanners routinely scan and create reports. It would be beneficial if I could create a runbook so that if any unwanted events occur, it generates alerts and stops operations. This would create a complete package for secure posture and management, allowing me to protect not just through scans but also through prevention.

Improved our security posture thanks to comprehensive visibility
I have contacted Wiz technical support frequently. The support is excellent. We contact via an in-application portal. We can see the support cases we personally open, and also the cases that other people have opened from our company. I appreciate that feature. Generally, support gets back to us within a few days with a good answer. There was one fellow in particular who has been knocking it out of the park. He is a great support person to deal with. We are happy with the support experience. If I were to put Wiz support on a scale from one to ten, I would give them a ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Based on my experience, the visibility and zero trust that Unified Vulnerability Management provides brings the biggest benefit."
"For me, the most appealing aspect of Unified Vulnerability Management for a customer or potential customer is the functionality."
"Unified Vulnerability Management has positively impacted my organization by improving our response time to vulnerabilities significantly, reducing our average response time by 40% and delivering measurable improvements in our security posture."
"The best feature of Unified Vulnerability Management is that it never shows actual details publicly and provides different virtual information to those coming from outside the company."
"Unified Vulnerability Management gives a good overview and detailed visibility of all traffic, which allows me to easily find bottlenecks or issues."
"Unified Vulnerability Management has centralized the process of identifying, assessing, prioritizing, remediating, and monitoring vulnerabilities across my organization's entire IT ecosystem through a single integrated platform and governance framework, making this the most significant advantage."
"My advice for others looking into using Unified Vulnerability Management is to proceed with adoption, as it helps to create a very good and unified network with structured processes that make our day-to-day tasks easier, more accurate, and very proper, and after using it for one and a half years in a large organization, I highly recommend others adopt it."
"In Unified Vulnerability Management, the best features include the ability to consolidate each and every device without dependency on other patch vulnerability management software, such as Qualys and SolarWinds, which have limited modules."
"The product supports out-of-the-box reporting with context about the asset and allows us to perform complex custom queries on UI."
"The biggest impact Wiz has had on our organization is improved visibility and better prioritization, as previously mentioned."
"Wiz stands out for its strengths, particularly in agentless scanning and graph-based risk prioritization, in addition to its comprehensive CNAPP capabilities and multi-cloud coverage."
"The granularity of visibility that the platform provides is the most valuable aspect."
"The product's most valuable feature combines different contexts and attributes to produce highly confident alerts."
"Before Wiz Code, the security team manually correlated the cloud assets, vulnerabilities, IAM permissions, and internet exposure, with critical issues identified in five days, but now, with the security graph automatically correlating findings, critical issues are identified in 30 minutes, resulting in a 90 percent plus reduction in investigation effort."
"Approximately 30 to 40% of vulnerabilities are being remediated quicker and easily because Wiz Code has an auto-fixing PR feature available for IAC code, which helps us fix issues quickly."
"Wiz can accomplish this and easily provide the total inventory in the cloud, which is crucial when managing large cloud databases or environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google environments, where it's difficult to have one view for all cloud components."

Cons

"I cannot rate Unified Vulnerability Management in general from one to ten because I have not implemented the product."
"More AI features would be welcome, and the price should be lower because it is becoming more expensive, and customers are already looking for alternatives because of the pricing."
"I believe Unified Vulnerability Management can be improved by refining its reporting capabilities."
"Customer support varies. After COVID, I find customer support lacking, and I am not sure why the principals do not prioritize it more."
"The customer service rating is 3."
"In Unified Vulnerability Management, the area that needs improvement is DNS-level security, which has been lacking for the last ten years."
"The negative side of Unified Vulnerability Management is that you need a skill set that is not readily available."
"Improvements are necessary because Unified Vulnerability Management has been in the market for only seven or eight years, and a lot of improvement must be required for performance."
"We noticed some capabilities that were lacking, specifically ignoring some false-positive Issue findings. The good news - with the latest update, this has been resolved."
"Not having an on-prem version can be an obstacle for customers who have a large workload in an on-prem environment."
"The solution's container security could be improved."
"Wiz can be improved with better maturity in code scanning and developer workflows, expanding secret detection to full lifecycle management, stronger IAM across multi-account environments, more transparent attack path scoring and risk modeling, improved AI and ML security scanning, reduced false positives in runtime threat detection, more fine-grained access control and tenant separation, and better integration for serverless workloads."
"Wiz's pricing model is very poor."
"The dashboards can be better; we have dashboards, but they are really complex and have a lot of information."
"As the tool is a good fit for small and medium-sized businesses, the solution should focus on making the product suitable for large-scale businesses."
"As for stability, we have seen some issues where our results changed radically from one day to the next, but we had not made radical changes, so we opened a case with support."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"Based on the features and capabilities, the product pricing seems reasonable."
"I wish the pricing was more transparent."
"Regarding pricing, it’s more than $100k because we have a very big infrastructure. Our environment supports around three thousand people, and we offer business-to-client financial services to around one million clients, so we rely heavily on Wiz."
"The pricing seems pretty simple. We don't have to do a lot of calculations to figure out what the components are. They do it by enabling specific features, either basics or advanced, which makes it easy to select."
"Wiz is a moderately priced solution, where it is neither cheap nor costly."
"The pricing is fair. Some of the more advanced features and functionalities and how the tiers are split can be somewhat confusing."
"If one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the tool's price as a five out of ten."
"The cost of the other solutions is comparable to Wiz."
