End to end workforce management has become streamlined and has saved me hours each week
Pros and Cons
  • "Deel has taken managing our EOR population off my plate, saving me hours a day."
  • "I find that the visa processes are lengthy. I understand this is the case everywhere, but I would appreciate improvements."

What is our primary use case?

I handle everything through the platform, including time off requests, promotion and compensation, expenses, and visa processes. I use the full suite as well as IT services for delivering and receiving laptops. Invoicing is seamless and I do not have to spend hours reconciling. Everything is user-friendly and seamless. Customer care replies within a minute and they have a group chat on Slack which makes it easy to communicate with them and get help. Deel has taken managing our EOR population off my plate, saving me hours a day.

What is most valuable?

The visa processes are lengthy, though I understand this is the case everywhere, but I would appreciate improvements.

Since using Deel, I am saving approximately five hours a week and it is much less hands-on.

In my opinion, the best features Deel offers are HR management and visa processes.

What needs improvement?

I find that the visa processes are lengthy. I understand this is the case everywhere, but I would appreciate improvements.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Deel for approximately two and a half years.

Global hiring has become faster and compliant as I manage end to end HR in one place
Pros and Cons
  • "Now with Deel, we've cut down to just a few hiccups here and there, which we resolve before they become problems, and trusting Deel to do the work correctly is a game-changer because we check things, but we generally know that mistakes are quite rare, making it great to have that trust."
  • "Deel can improve its support function."

What is our primary use case?

In previous experiences, Deel would be our way of expanding to new markets very quickly.

As a whole, I use Deel every day to manage payments, immigration cases, onboarding, and offboarding, so all the employee lifecycle is mostly managed on Deel.

How has it helped my organization?

Faster onboardings, smoother relocations and more visibility and support around the full employee lifecycle.

What is most valuable?

Having the Knowledge Hub is so important because a lot of the time, especially if I'm onboarding in a new country or providing input when we're thinking about expanding to a new country, I can do a lot of research just by going to the platform and going through the hub.

The Onboarding Assistant is also great for this, because it gives me the costs for a specific country, enabling me to budget for a specific role according to a specific compensation band in a specific country, which is amazing.

The Knowledge Hub and Onboarding Assistant have made my work easier and more efficient. Previously, it would take us a lot of time during the interview stage to ensure that people have the correct right to work or what options we had and what countries would be suitable.

Deel has positively impacted my organization by providing an all-in-one platform that is very simple to use. Given my experience with Deel for a long time now, I'm able to quickly find the information that I need, also equipping me with extra skills through Deel Academy. The support from different departments has been tremendous, especially during relocations and moving contracts across, where the feedback we get is that the process is quite smooth, with just some rare hiccups along the line. Because we have our customer success manager, we receive support that makes the journey a lot easier, allowing us to complete tasks efficiently.

What needs improvement?

Not much, the only thing I would say is that Deel could improve its support function. People are generally really nice, but sometimes you get mixed messages from different teams and support. Focusing on more training for the support agents would be beneficial because some agents are amazing and really know what they're doing, but others could use the improvement.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Deel since early 2023.

How are customer service and support?

I've already covered my thoughts on customer support. It's usually fine, but improvement is needed in the knowledge of the support agents.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We previously used a different solution, but we did not have a platform to manage everything on our side, leading to a lot of miscommunication and mistakes from the provider. Now with Deel, we trust the work is done correctly, and we obviously still check everything, but mistakes are quite rare, making it really easy to manage.

What other advice do I have?

My advice for others looking into using Deel is to get someone knowledgeable on all things HR, especially if you're a small company. If you have someone knowledgeable, it will be very simple to navigate everything else on the platform. If you don't, Deel offers Deel Academy with many training resources, meaning you don't necessarily need someone super experienced to teach you how to use the platform, although your customer success manager can support you. There are plenty of resources on Deel platform for guidance in general HR and to get certifications to help you become better and more compliant in your job, making it a no-brainer for me.

My experience is great overall with Deel, and I literally have no faults to point out apart from the rare support glitches. Overall, my experience is really smooth. Having worked with Deel for a long time, I can definitely notice the improvements made to create such a comprehensive platform, so I can only say good things about it as a whole.

Global payroll and benefits have become streamlined and have reduced costs and admin time
Pros and Cons
  • "I highly recommend Deel as a tool; the tool itself is great, it is easy to use, and on top of that, you get an excellent team of highly qualified people who will support you throughout the entire process."
  • "There are a few things in the system that could be improved."

What is our primary use case?

We use Deel for global hiring, payroll, and compliance. It allows us to onboard international contractors and U.S. employees, manage payments across currencies, and store contracts and records in one place. It simplifies compliance and reduces operational overhead, making it easier to run a distributed team without setting up entities or using multiple tools.

How has it helped my organization?

Using Deel has reduced administrative workload, accelerated hiring, and simplified compliance. We can onboard global talent in days instead of weeks, avoid setting up entities, and manage payroll and documentation in one place. This has saved time, lowered legal risk, and allowed us to scale a distributed team efficiently.

What is most valuable?

We use Deel for global hiring, payroll, and compliance. It enables fast onboarding of international contractors and U.S. employees, manages payments across currencies, and keeps contracts and records centralized. It reduces legal risk, eliminates the need for entities, and simplifies operations for our distributed team.

What needs improvement?

There are a few areas where Deel could improve. Integrations with tools like accounting or HR systems could be deeper and more seamless, as some data still requires manual syncing. Additionally, reporting could be more flexible and customizable for finance and audit needs. These gaps are manageable but add extra steps to day-to-day operations.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Deel for four years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Yes, Deel is generally stable. Core functions like payroll, payments, and onboarding run reliably with minimal downtime. We’ve had a smooth experience overall, with no major disruptions. Occasionally, minor bugs or UI issues appear, but they are typically resolved quickly and don’t significantly impact day-to-day operations.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Deel scales very well. You can start with a few contractors and grow to a global team without changing systems. It supports hiring, payroll, and compliance across many countries, eliminating the need to set up entities. Its flexibility to handle both contractors and employees makes it easy to scale operations as the business grows.

How are customer service and support?

The customer support from Deel is excellent.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Yes, we previously used Gusto, Heartland Payroll, and ADP. While they worked for U.S. payroll, they became limiting as we expanded internationally. We switched to Deel because it supports global hiring, payments, and compliance in one place, without needing multiple tools or setting up entities.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup with Deel was straightforward. Onboarding was quick, with guided steps for adding employees and contractors, and minimal upfront configuration. Most workflows were intuitive, so we were able to start using the platform almost immediately without heavy implementation or external support.

What about the implementation team?

No

What was our ROI?

Yes, we’ve seen clear ROI from Deel. It has reduced HR and payroll admin time by ~50% by centralizing onboarding, payments, and compliance. We’ve also avoided the cost of setting up entities in multiple countries and reduced reliance on multiple tools. Overall, it saves time, lowers operational costs, and enables faster hiring.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Our experience with Deel pricing has been positive overall. It’s not the cheapest, but the value is clear given the global compliance and infrastructure it provides. Setup was quick with minimal upfront cost, and onboarding was straightforward. Licensing is flexible, allowing us to scale as needed without long-term rigid commitments.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Before choosing Deel, we evaluated other options, including Rippling and Justworks.

What other advice do I have?

I highly recommend Deel as a tool; the tool itself is great, it is easy to use, and on top of that, you get an excellent team of highly qualified people who will support you throughout the entire process. I cannot stress enough how helpful that has been for us as a company, especially as an early-stage startup where you might not know a lot about these things, and Deel has been really supportive and helpful in understanding how we should be doing things. I would rate this review as a 9 out of 10.

Centralized payroll and contractor management has transformed how our growing team operates
Pros and Cons
  • "My advice to others looking into using Deel is that if you are a small company that plans to scale, Deel is a very great partner platform and a very safe choice when it comes to organizing everything HR."
  • "Deel can be improved in such a way that I am able to connect to customer service faster because usually it just directs me to an AI, which sometimes isn't really that helpful."

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Deel is to manage our global contractors, particularly focusing on payments and PTO, as well as tracking the hardware and managing sick days.

A specific example of how I use Deel for managing our contractor's pay is that I am able to set up the payment schedules. The payment scheduling works for our team because I use it to set up payments for our contractors where the payments will be sent to them either on a weekly basis.

In addition to that, I am also using Deel for tracking people's levels as well as documenting their profile in the company.

What is most valuable?

The best features that Deel offers for me include streamlining my payment process, making it a one-stop source of truth for everything payroll, as well as everything about the profile of a contractor because I put their JD in there, their responsibilities, their level, and their tenures. Deel allows me to be very organized.

Out of those features, the one that has made the biggest difference for my team is the streamlined payment process because I work at a startup company. For the first two years of our operations, I was actually using manual payment and doing it via bank. It was quite messy because it wasn't organized, managers were doing it on their own, and then it wasn't centralized to the HR team. Deel allowed me to centralize everything to HR.

Deel has positively impacted my organization because it helped me really get organized.

What needs improvement?

Deel can be improved in such a way that I am able to connect to customer service faster because usually it just directs me to an AI, which sometimes isn't really that helpful. It's not a big thing because I'm able to connect to the customer service within five minutes, but sometimes the AI is just a blocker.

Regarding needed improvements, there was one feature where Deel removed their ability to get an advanced payment within the week, which was really helpful to my Filipino contractors because sometimes people get their budget tightened. They could get the pay a few days before the actual pay, but now the feature is gone, and I don't know why. It was really helpful back then, and it's just sad that it's gone now.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Deel for more than one year now, going on two years.

What other advice do I have?

My advice to others looking into using Deel is that if you are a small company that plans to scale, Deel is a very great partner platform and a very safe choice when it comes to organizing everything HR. I rate this product a 10 because for me, Deel is such a game-changer for us. It has everything that I want and changed the game for management of payroll, PTO, and sick days, especially for my growing team. As the company grows, I am also able to use Deel on a bigger level, and it scales with the company.

Centralizes global hiring and payroll workflows but revealed minor gaps in service clarity
Pros and Cons
  • "Deel has positively impacted our organization by reducing the time necessary for payroll processing from the moment of payroll inputs to payroll outputs, reducing human errors, and greatly helping us hire professionals in regions where we couldn't do so before."
  • "Pay attention to and review the service catalog since some services may come at an additional price."

What is our primary use case?

Deel's EOR services have been utilized for more than four years and global payroll for over two years.

Our main use case for Deel is EOR and hiring professionals in countries where we don't have an entity, combined with global payroll services.

In European countries where we have a normal entity, Deel processes payroll for our employees, meaning they are responsible for calculating correct salaries and liabilities towards institutions. In terms of EOR, Deel serves as employer of record, so we use them in countries where we don't have expertise and legal presence, taking responsibility for their employment.

What is most valuable?

Deel's general platform is easy to navigate and user-friendly.

The best features Deel offers are the ability to hire professionals across the world and the integrations with many HR systems that ensure data flows automatically, reducing the time necessary for payroll processing and minimizing the risks of errors.

Before Deel, we were sharing a lot of information with local payroll providers through Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, or different platforms as we used different vendors in each country. Now, everything is located in one platform, which is really beneficial, allowing us to find information anytime we need it, and it flows directly, meaning anything in our HR platform, which is the source of truth, flows directly to payroll with no manual work needed from our side.

A positive aspect of Deel is that they have local payroll managers in each country, providing regional expertise, which has helped us because we're sometimes not located in those countries and are unsure about legal specifics. Having someone who knows how taxes and legal matters work is really helpful.

Deel has positively impacted our organization by reducing the time necessary for payroll processing from the moment of payroll inputs to payroll outputs, reducing human errors, and greatly helping us hire professionals in regions where we couldn't do so before.

What needs improvement?

Pay attention to and review the service catalog since some services may come at an additional price. When responsibilities move from one person or team to another, the handover should be handled smoothly, as we saw some small issues there, indicating this could be improved.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Deel is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Deel handles growth mostly well, with some minor hiccups that are acceptable.

How are customer service and support?

Customer support is very good; the response time is much faster compared to local payroll providers. This is one of the main advantages, with response times being sometimes immediate, within a couple of minutes, or a few hours at most.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We previously used local payroll providers, such as ADP in the Netherlands.

What was our ROI?

We have seen a return on investment by reducing the time necessary for payroll processing by approximately 40%, minimizing error correction, and managing to hire in more than six countries where we don't have a legal entity. Some regions saw savings, while costs in other regions remained mostly the same.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Our experience with pricing and setup costs was okay, considering our company size, but we didn't pay enough attention to their service catalog, discovering that some services carry additional charges, which is something we could improve on.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We evaluated Papaya before choosing Deel.

What other advice do I have?

I would advise others looking into Deel to review the service catalog for pricing and be aware of what is included in the package and what comes at an additional cost. Deel's platform is easy to navigate and user-friendly. I give this review an overall rating of seven.

Global hiring has become seamless and payroll automation supports remote teams worldwide
Pros and Cons
  • "Deel has positively impacted my organization by making it easier to find the best talent in the world, no matter where they may be."
  • "Deel can be improved by providing notifications of time-off requests."

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Deel is as an Employer of Record for employees outside of the United States. Our company employs remote employees only, and in order to do that, we want to find the best talent and hire them no matter where they are in the world.

When we find somebody that is a good fit, it is always beneficial to know that if they are not in the United States, we can rely on Deel to provide the appropriate structure necessary for international employees that is specific to their company around things such as time-off policies and working policies.

What is most valuable?

The best features Deel offers include the automatic calculation and payroll and payout for international employees.

The automatic calculation and payroll payout helps my team and makes my life easier because I do not have to worry about it. I know that Deel is calculating everything, automatically remitting everything to the appropriate agencies, as well as automatically remitting the payment to the employees. Everything is generally on automatic or coast, unless I am notified that something needs to be looked into or needs my attention.

Deel has positively impacted my organization by making it easier to find the best talent in the world, no matter where they may be.

What needs improvement?

Deel can be improved by providing notifications of time-off requests. This may be a setting in Deel, but I have been unable to find it.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Deel for two years.

What other advice do I have?

The advice I would give to others looking into using Deel is to know what you are looking for and what benefits you are hoping to get out of it. If you think Deel is going to manage your employees or do some of the things that need to happen as the actual employer or manager, that is not going to happen. You need to go into it with the right mindset of what you expect to get out of it and understand if that aligns with your organizational needs. I would rate my overall experience with Deel an eight out of ten.

Global hiring has become compliant while payroll and HR workflows are automated daily
Pros and Cons
  • "Deel has positively impacted my organization by helping us streamline and automate processes, reducing our workload."
  • "Deel can be improved as there are still quite a lot of bugs on the system, which I raise with my account manager."

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Deel centers around the EOR model; however, I have now fully utilized Deel for payroll and HRIS as well.

For EOR and payroll in my day-to-day work, I utilize Deel to employ people in different countries where we don't have entities, which means I don't have to worry about the compliance aspects, as Deel manages it all for us. We use payroll every day because we know that everything is recorded on the system.

I am also utilizing Deel to automate more of our processes, and Deel AI is especially useful.

What is most valuable?

The best features Deel offers include the fantastic service provided by our customer care agents and our account manager, who deliver the best service I have ever received. No problem is too much or too annoying, as they are always there to help out. The whole system itself is amazing with its scale, the fact that everything integrates into one, and the workflows that enable us to automate processes.

Deel has positively impacted my organization by helping us streamline and automate processes, reducing our workload.

What needs improvement?

Deel can be improved as there are still quite a lot of bugs on the system, which I raise with my account manager. While they are dealt with really well, it would be great to reach a stage where I am not having to constantly raise issues or feature requests and have it all done more seamlessly.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Deel for just over a year now.

How are customer service and support?

The support from the customer care agents and account manager stands out to me. I have dealt with Casey, Manu, Karl, and Beth, who have all been absolutely fantastic as they are always coming to us with new solutions and looking for ways to improve our experience at Deel. If we ever have any issues, they always respond really promptly to acknowledge our request. Even if they cannot fix it immediately, they will always keep us up to date with the progress until it gets resolved.

What other advice do I have?

Deel has reduced my workload by around 30 percent at the moment, and part of that is because I need to spend some more time implementing the workflows and delving deeper into the capabilities and features which I am currently in the process of doing.

My advice to others looking into using Deel is simply to do it.

Deel is a great product, and I would highly recommend it. I have given this review a rating of 9.

Global hiring has become faster while onboarding and payroll management remain streamlined
Pros and Cons
  • "Deel has created a great impact and saved us a lot of time and hard work behind the scenes."

What is our primary use case?

Deel is the tool that we use for our employees that are in other countries aside from the US. We have three different examples of how we use Deel for those employees outside the US. We have independent contractors, we also have direct employee payrolls, and we have consultants. We basically own the contracts right there, and we pay them through Deel as well.

    What is most valuable?

There are quite a few best features Deel offers, but I would say having them handle all of the communication and contract and payroll for us would be the best feature that Deel has.

It saves us a lot of time when Deel handles all the communication and contracts because we don't have to compile all the information from the employees. We basically can have them rely on Deel and have them retrieve all the information back to us for our records, but they handle all of the contract and communication on onboarding new employees.

Deel has created a great impact and saved us a lot of time and hard work behind the scenes. It helps us basically hire across the globe without having to, without us being the ones owning the legal portion and the taxes. It has helped us continue with our employees across the globe.

It has really helped us as a company grow and continue providing our employees a good employee experience. Everyone is happy with the tool.

    What needs improvement?

For reporting, I would say that is the only thing I think Deel can be improved at. We would love to do reporting more efficiently within the tool. For example, for employee reporting, to collect all the data that we have for employees into Deel and for payroll purposes.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Deel for two years already.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I have never experienced an error on Deel.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We have not noticed much challenge with Deel's scalability. Once we did the whole scalability for our new employees, they handle it very well.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We used Remote.com previously. We switched because of the cost and the type of contract, benefits, and other features that they offered our employees were better in Deel than in our previous one.

    How was the initial setup?

From 30 minutes that it would take us to onboard someone regularly, and on a daily basis it would be around 30 to 45 minutes with each employee, it only takes us from 5 to 10 minutes on a daily basis. It depends on if it gets delayed by any reasons, such as if they are missing a document or anything, they will just take care of it and we just have to accept and approve their information into the system.

What other advice do I have?

I do not have any feedback for Deel right now. I would say it is a very good tool. I would recommend companies to really talk through their challenges, currently the challenges that they are facing within their company, so that Deel can offer them many more features than the only ones that they have right now. I know they are improving every day and creating new features. Please stay updated and request them to be able to showcase more of their tools and features on Deel. I gave this review a rating of 10.
