What is our primary use case?
The primary use case for this solution is managing multi-domain masters, product suppliers, and locations. All masters can be managed in this solution.
It is useful for product onboarding, supplier onboarding, location onboarding, and the variation between product suppliers' locations. We are managing business relationships between connecting governance.
Further, it helps with process flows and data quality checks.
How has it helped my organization?
What is most valuable?
I feel all the features are pretty good. The usability, UI points, and all other things are good.
What needs improvement?
As for improvement, the con is basically API integrations. I would like to have some improved API integrations in the future release.
Moreover, there is room for improvement in the setup process. The company should move the deployment to the cloud and make it a ready setup. In the market, many of the players, like Trento, Semarchy, and MDM software which are on the cloud, are ready to use. All the installation is pre-defined so that the installation cost is not to be added by the client every time. So, deployment and installation are specific to the service partner only. A client cannot do it by themselves.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using the MDM solution for two years before we started with the optimization.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It is a scalable solution. It is multi-domain, and there is no limitation on the records. So it is scalable.
There are two different groups of users using the solution. Admins are different than business users. So, both have different screens. I use it as well, and it is comfortable.
The usage of the solution is extensive because, in the retail industry or any of the domains, product and supplier onboarding are frequent things to be done. So, generalization masters are very frequent in any company.
How are customer service and support?
Customer service and support are average. For API integrations, they were helpless. There was no solution.
How would you rate customer service and support?
How was the initial setup?
The installation process is tedious. The installation has to be done on-premises, so it involves a lot of servers. So, moving to the cloud is a better option.
What about the implementation team?
Deployment and installation are specific to the service partner. It's not something the client can do on their own.
What was our ROI?
The usage of the solution is heavy. So if you calculate the ROI, it will factor in a good amount.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The pricing of the solution is cost-effective. As for the license, the license fees were specific and were negotiated on the client level.
What other advice do I have?
For other companies and individuals who would like to use this solution, I would advise that if your use case is to use the solution on-premises and not on the cloud, then the solution definitely works. It is user-friendly and cost-effective as well. Also, data modeling can easily be done with this tool.
Overall, I would rate the solution a seven out of ten.
