We are a fully remote team of product owners, DevOps, developers, and scrum masters with different requirements to access different environments of the platform. 

In particular, some critical service providers' external systems like massive e-mail or SMS providers need to be protected as they are attractive to hackers. Also, the test environment has tools that may reveal internal information about the platform. 

Therefore, to have the capacity to manage teams and to provide granular permissions to each team member is a "must" for us. 

Good Access allows the configuration of the apps each team member uses. It has MFA access and what gateways are available, and access control cards can be used where it is possible to group users and assign specific systems they can use. 

This granularity helps us to provide the minimum access needed to execute specific tasks for each role. 

Also, we have outsourced contractors for software development. Creating a new account, onboarding a new team member, or blocking the account when her/his task is completed is very easy and straightforward.

The app launch functionality is great. It is convenient for the team member in her/his daily tasks. For new team members, it is great as they have all the tools required at hand - making the onboarding process easier. Creating new systems is also very easy.

The dashboard is pretty sleek and complete. It is clear "who" is connecting from "where" and if it is needed to analyze user behavior in detail the logs are helpful and allow us to detect missing spots in our security scheme. For example, being able to order user sessions by data transfered helps to check any potential data loss.

There is one minor drawback to mention: occasionally, the Internet connection tends to slow down noticeably while using the VPN. This may impact the work of some roles working with big files like designers. 

Also, QA analysts claim that tests show longer response times when executing load-testing scripts with Jmeter and several concurrent users. As the QA environment may leak important internal information, we needed to create a pre-production environment to execute the load testing jobs.

I've been using the solution for one year.

Stability is great! We have not experienced any availability problems.

It needs better bandwidth. Sometimes users notice a slow connection to the protected systems. 

I have not needed to ask for help from technical support. I receive email notifications of service usage, price changes, and other different topics. It has been a good experience so far.

We previously used AWS native VPN and Proton VPN.

The setup is pretty easy, I did it myself with no external help. There is very low maintenance needed after that.

As we have critical systems that impact the whole business (life or death matter), using the basic approach of impact and risk, I may say we recover the investment in six months as we are a small startup. 

The cost is billed annually and the second year for the basic plan had a big increment. It is important to monitor this, the information in the application is transparent and easy to find.

We also evaluated SurfShark and Nord Layer.

Our primary use case for GoodAccess is to facilitate seamless remote work for our globally distributed team. The developer, the front-end dev, the tester (myself), and the project manager are all living in different countries. Some of our agency's clients have imposed IP restrictions limited to the USA. Conventional VPNs often struggle to overcome these barriers. However, with GoodAccess, our team experiences secure and rapid access to our client's websites from any location. This capability enhances our productivity, enabling us to deliver high-quality results.

With members located in various countries, including Argentina like me, and facing IP blocking challenges from clients, we struggled with traditional VPN solutions. GoodAccess, however, proved to be the answer to our problems.

While GoodAccess offers a host of valuable features, there are areas where it could see improvements, with the pricing model being one such aspect. Currently, the pricing structure is functional yet could benefit from more refined scalability calculations. 

For smaller organizations, typically comprising two to ten individuals, GoodAccess provides a highly competitive and user-friendly solution that meets their needs effectively. However, as a company grows, the scalability of the pricing model becomes a more prominent factor.

I've used the solution for two years.

This is a very stable solution.

We previously used VeeVPN and PureVPN. They didn't work well in my country.

I'd advise others to test with the trial first.

I did not evaluate other options. 

We have multiple teams working on cloud environments, we wanted to use a service that has team-based access/permissions and static IP addresses. Working across multiple countries, we needed a VPN that would allow us to share the same public IP address and have a backup option for gateways in case the primary gateway was offline. Speed of access is critical as we work in our development environments using the VPN, developers work on code and deploy changes to our cloud environment. Access to these cloud environments must also use a VPN.

We have been able to use a VPN for cloud access and provide this access to our distributed teams. We also use local gateways as our default and speed of access is critical. 

Security of access is important and controlling users' access is part of the process. We add and remove users when required and maintain the same public IP address has allowed us to restrict access. Bandwidth across all users has never been a problem; we have more than 30 users in a single group and it was not a problem having all users on the same gateway at the same time.

Static IP Addresses with multiple gateway options per team allow us to set up different teams with different network accesses. 

We also can manage the teams using the portal which makes it easy to administer new or departing users. 

Different teams can be set up with different product levels. This has allowed us to reduce costs by only activating the packages needed for certain groups. 

Another important feature is the MFA, which we have activated against all users adding an extra layer of security. Since cloud access is also controlled using the VPN, this is crucial. 

Adding one user at a time to the package as compared to blocks of five would be helpful. Currently, we end up with empty seats on our plans. Also, a user-level package could be nice too as some users need minimal features but some users might need extra ones - like the custom domain blocking. Some default authentication providers could be included in the Essential package to managing users separately from the business domains. That would be helpful - although I understand the business case behind this decision. Since we are in Australia, adding a secondary gateway in Melbourne or Perth would be great. Also, adding one possibly one in New Zealand would be useful. 

I've used the solution for more than two years.

The stability is good. We have suffered degraded connection very rarely.

The scalability is good; we would love to see more gateway locations.

Support was not super fast the one time we had major issues. That said, it was satisfactory as the issue was resolved in less than 24 hours.

We did not use a different solution. We needed a service that would provide static IP addresses per team or group of users.

The setup is straightforward and it's easy to get started.

We handled the initial setup in-house.

This is used purely for our IT development efforts and restricting access to some private web services. 

I'd advise users to start with the essential package and upgrade if needed. Also, make sure you start with at least one backup gateway in case the primary gateway has technical issues.

We also evaluated AWS, Surfshark, and Nord.

I have loved the reliability. In over two years of usage, we have faced slowness or service disruption only two or three times. 

We started using GoodAccess during COVID, when our entire workforce started working from home. They were a good price point compared to their competition and one of the only ones that allowed for a small team and use a fixed IP Address. 

During COVID, GoodAccess was a lifesaver for our company and without them, we simply would not have been able to work. The VPN is very simple to set up, using either the GoodAccess application or by exporting OpenVPN configuration files. 

Some of the new features such as threat detection and mapping connections have been amazing and very well done. 

All in all, it is a very good company to use when VPN access is required.

Mobile apps extend access, letting users work on the go securely. These features collectively fortify remote work, enhancing security, productivity, and adaptability.

While GoodAccess offers exceptional benefits, there are areas for improvement. 

The installable app's occasional bugs have caused disruptions for some users, impacting smooth usage. These were resolved though and alternative methods to connect were offered. 

Moreover, the rising price point, albeit slight, has raised concerns among us, affecting the initial confidence in its affordability. This is happening across the industry though, with most VPN services now taking advantage of the amount of home working. Balancing app stability and pricing would enhance the overall value and user experience.

I've used the solution for three years.

The solution is very stable; we have never had an issue with downtime.

You purchase per-user connections, so it is very scalable with the size of a business.

In our company, we are developing software solutions for multiple corporations. Some of these corporations are giving access to internal systems using only an approved VPN, and only in the same country as the offices. In this case, these are the requirements we needed from GoodAccess:

1. Static IP

2. In a country that is not a main site (main competitors are not offering IPs from this country)

3. Multiple users connected simultaneously from desktops and mobile devices

4. High availability and high speed

GoodAccess is allowing us to give first-hand support and access to critical client systems, in a secure way.

We have a few employees using GoodAccess VPN and each has their own needs, including different operation systems, different devices (desktop/mobile), and OpenVPN Client installed on a router.

GoodAccess has ready configurations and ready clients to be installed on multiple device types.

The high availability support of GoodAccess is giving us the ability to proxy to raise the quality of service we give to our clients.

There are a few features I found valuable.

First of all, the spread of hosts around the globe is better than the main competitors as they are reaching countries where it's hard to get Static IP from a company providing a whole solution such as GoodAccess.

Second, The onboarding of the console management is very fast. Fortunately what we need is granular permission, based to allow users to have their own credentials and access to our dedicated service, and the weekly report is a huge bonus assisting us in discovering who's not using the tool and giving access to someone else on the team without harming the productivity.

I would like to see more products in the scope of cyber security, antivirus, etc.

There also can be a better view of which type of communication is going through the system.

Another thing that could be good would be to allow us to understand networking risks or alerts if case someone not authorized has access to the system.

Overall, the existing functionality is good, yet always better for each release to use the most updated security measures and utils installed.

I've used the solution for six months.

We had two cases with technical support; both were solved super fast and in near real-time.

I'd advise users to buy the license for the number of concurrent users needed and not by the size of the team.

I also evaluated NordVPN, Express VPN, and CyberGhost.

Our IT admin and the whole company use it for geolocation. They need to access different websites located within the US, and outside instructions are barely necessary to share. The whole team almost does not need support, really. Once they log in, they can visit the sites with specific locations to do their daily work. 

This product does not slow down the speed or work tasks for other sites either. Users can rely on the VPN for all their work which is 90% web-based. So far, no big issues have been reported and the integration was easy.

While GoodAccess VPN offers substantial benefits, there are areas for improvement. 

Enhancing the user interface and experience could make it more intuitive for all users. 

Additionally, expanding server coverage in diverse regions would further enhance accessibility. 

In the next release, incorporating advanced threat detection and prevention mechanisms would elevate its security capabilities. 

Integration with multi-factor authentication could provide an extra layer of protection. 

Continuous updates to address emerging cyber threats and seamless cross-device compatibility would make GoodAccess even more indispensable.

I've used the solution for almost two years.

We've had almost zero issues.

The scalability is great.

We did not previously use a different solution.

Talk to their team directly; they are friendly and great at explaining.

We did look at Nord and Express VPN.

I'd recommend the solution to others.

We would like to see the option to have multiple IP or VPN access servers. It would be nice to be able to toggle between a couple. This would be very helpful because sometimes we have use cases where it would be useful to be able to test websites from different regions. It also allows us to track indirectly amongst team members if they are using different VPN access points.

I also find that it would be useful to see the weekly usage information within the program itself and a dashboard for all usage data.

Yes, we looked into NordVPN. GoodAccess had better features from a team perspective.

We needed to find a replacement VPN for our distributed team. We use GoodAccess to simplify our network management needs. By configuring systems within the GoodAccess dashboard, we are able to simplify the deployment of new systems or changes to our current systems. 

We wanted to have the ability to use port forwarding which GoodAccess provides. There were several other features that we did not end up using to their fullest extent due to our needs being different, however, I am sure that the entire application is made with the highest quality and care.

With other VPNs that we have used, the interface was difficult or the VPN did not allow split tunneling or one of the other features that we needed as an organization. We needed to reduce the cost of our VPN solution and simplify the setup of new team members. 

GoodAccess simplified our infrastructure and how we interact with clients. With its feature set, it has also made it easier on the budget too. 

The interface is simple and intuitive to use so setup is also quicker and easier. Overall it has been a good move.

We primarily use GoodAccess as a VPN provider. Over the years since subscribing to GoodAccess though and as they have expanded their feature set, we have implemented a few other features. 

I like the ability to configure the shared system in a central location that I can then open up to specific team members as they need access. Port forwarding has also been a feature that we have used recently to help configure SSH access to internal systems. 

I like the ability to centrally determine access controls with the access control tab in the dashboard.

When we first subscribed to GoodAccess, the cost was per seat, and that worked best for our situation. Many other VPN providers had minimum seat requirements to be able to access specific features. This past year, I did not like having to purchase an upgrade to a plan with a minimum number of seats to get the features we needed. We do not use all of the seats, so it feels like that could be a better experience for the customers. Small businesses sometimes need features in a VPN solution that bigger companies typically use, however, without the number of seats.

I've used the solution for two or more years.

Overall, it has been very dependable. There have been a couple of hiccups in the service. That said, it is good overall.

It has been as scalable as we have needed to both increase or decrease our team size.

We previously used NordLayer VPN.

It has been well worth the investment.

I'd advise other users to get what they need and nothing more.

We evaluated NordVPN, TorGuard VPN Service, Cisco AnyConnect, OpenVPN, Perimeter 81, ExpressVPN, TunnelBear, and PureVPN.

Our main use case for GoodAccess is to provide our technical team with a trusted network point-to-point between their team and the remote infrastructure. For this purpose, GoodAccess provides a gateway and a connector to our cloud provider that allows us to perform all kinds of operations with our infrastructure in a simple and secure way.

In addition, we use it for continuous browsing via a VPN gateway with threat security enhancing the security of all technical equipment.

All this combined with dual-factor access to all equipment is very good.

GoodAccess has significantly improved security in our organization. 

First and foremost, access to the servers through SSH, RDP, or the database is much more secure. Within the cloud infrastructure, there is only one public subnet. The rest of the private accesses of the infrastructure are only accessible from the VPN.

The work of security administrators and the work of checking for unauthorized access has been greatly reduced. The number of unauthorized access attempts to critical private infrastructure is zero.

The feature we have found most valuable has been point-to-point protection.

The Cloud Connector allows you to connect your private cloud networks to the GoodAccess Gateway. In our case, we directly connect the cloud connector to the AWS VPN so you actually have point-to-point security from the developer's computer to the application server or data center.

Working with the gateway provides us with a dedicated IP that simplifies working with firewalls and IP restrictions.

Threats that can be blocked also in order to provide extra security for worker connections.

The speed of work under the VPN is similar to the speed of the network without the VPN.

There are some improvements needed. These are really minor improvements, generally related to interface details that do not influence our GoodAccess purchasing decision.

The interface information could show more information about how threats have occurred. Right now, it only shows basic threat information.

Traffic through the gateway could also be improved.

Also, the traffic passing through the cloud connection to the infrastructure could be more detailed. On certain occasions, in our case, AWS sends a connectivity loss notification that is not reflected in the GoodAccess activity dashboard.

I've used the solution for two years.

Previously, we had used only private IP gateway solutions and not a global solution. We decided to change to improve security.

The cost of a service like this is not cheap, to be fair.  That said, security has a cost and in this case, the ease of use benefits us.

This was really our first choice. We did not look at other options. We thought about changing and trying others, however, it finally convinced us that this solution was the best option.

We use the solution to connect to our database as part of our process. Our process requires us to use a VPN before connecting to our database. This is done primarily to have an additional layer of security while also preventing unauthorized access to our database that has sensitive information on our own company and our clients.

It is also done to adhere to the ISO Policy. 

Another added benefit of this is that we will be able to gain access to our databases regardless of where we are as the VPN would grant us access and reroute us to the database without getting blocked.

It saved a lot of time in terms of setting up a VPN service. 

It is easy to use while being secure enough to give us peace of mind. 

With it being user-friendly, it is accessible to both tech-savvy and those who are new to our company. Their user interface is intuitive as it is easy to navigate. 

Regarding security, using GoodAccess VPN has made us more aware of the need for good security measures to help protect our business and our clients' data too. 

The ability to contact their customer support when we need assistance is easy. We get quick and prompt replies in a timely fashion. They are definitely what we are looking for in customer support services. Not to mention, the support is very knowledgeable. They have been able to answer all of our questions and rid us of any doubts that we have. Doing this in a responsive and timely fashion while being accurate and concise in their information has saved us so much time. 

Other than that, their VPN service is great. Getting an extra layer of security without the drawback of losing speed is a plus.

Not much can be improved. It is worth mentioning that we do experience disconnects on rare occasions. It's not often enough to turn us off from GoodAccess, however, it'll be good if this is completely eliminated. It isn't a huge issue that would require them to pour precious time and resources into fixing it. Another thing is the feature of a kill switch. A comprehensive kill switch that works system-wide would enhance security, as in the case of a rare VPN connection drop. The kill switch would ensure that there are no data leaks that could be costly to us.

We've used the solution for more than one year.

We haven't had any major disconnects or data loss. It's pretty stable in my book.

The product can be used in multiple scenarios with tons of features. Scalability is really good - more than what I expected.

Support is excellent. They offer prompt and helpful responses. What we were getting from GoodAccess customer support has been positive.
