We use the solution to monitor the hardware environment of our data center. We mainly use Huawei eSight to monitor the devices. It assists in monitoring our devices in terms of utilization and monitoring. We are using the solution in the IT industry.

The solution's most valuable dashboard features include monitoring storage, resource availability, and hardware alarms. The solution's hardware alarms feature is very helpful. It gives you a brief description of the alarms and their severity.

Huawei eSight should work on the option to have the email notification working on Office 365 Exchange.

I have been using Huawei eSight for one year.

The solution's alerts are not accurate. It will falsify alerts at any given point.

I rate the solution’s stability ten out of ten.

As an architectural specialist managing the environment, I am the only user of Huawei eSight in our organization.

The solution takes approximately four hours to deploy. The deployment is more manual because if your device isn't set up correctly, you need to manually add it to Huawei eSight. It doesn't pick it up automatically.

The solution’s pricing is reasonable.

Huawei eSight has helped me overcome many monitoring aspects of the hardware. From a single view, I can monitor all the hardware. Instead of logging on to each piece of hardware and monitoring it individually, I can monitor them from one single point. I would recommend the solution to other users because it provides a single point of view of the hardware.

Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

We are a Huawei partner, selling their products to customers and providing installation and maintenance services. Our clients use eSight to monitor and control devices like firewalls, access points, and switches on-premises. They use it to view device status, send configurations, and manage many devices efficiently.

One of the most beneficial features of Huawei eSight is its simplicity and ease of use. It consolidates monitoring and management tasks into one software solution, making it efficient for our clients to control devices like CyberArk access points and switches. Unlike other solutions that can be complex and have compatibility issues, eSight integrates seamlessly with Windows servers and hardware, minimizing installation and usage problems. We appreciate eSight's user-friendly interface and reliability.

The variety of license types should be made simpler as, at present, it is complex.

The technical support needs considerable improvement.

I have been using Huawei eSight for the last three years.

The solution is scalable for our clients. For our customers, Huawei eSight has all the features we need, especially for managing firewalls effectively.

We started using Huawei eSight from the beginning and didn't use any other solutions before.

Setting up Huawei eSight was straightforward for us. Our technical team found it simple to install and start using the software, including device recovery processes, which worked well.

For our customers, Huawei eSight has a significant impact on organizational efficiency and cost savings. Its centralized management capabilities make tasks like device upgrades much easier and more efficient, especially for networks with a large number of devices and complex setups.However, we are not aware of specific AI features in eSight as we stopped offering it in our portfolio a few years ago.

The pricing for Huawei eSight is reasonable, especially with the base license and incremental licenses for additional devices. However, the variety of license types can be a bit complex. We used to sell eSight but switched to another solution, so we're not actively trading it anymore.

Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

We use Huawei eSight to monitor devices like Wi-Fi controllers, LAN switches, and routers. 

The solution and the operating system come separately. It would be easier if we did not have to deploy anything. A bundle feature would be better. 

I have been working with the solution for a few months. 

Huawei eSight is stable. 

Huawei eSight is scalable. You need to plan the number of devices you intend to monitor. We use it to monitor 200 devices. 

Huawei eSight's deployment takes a couple of hours to complete. 

The solution is not difficult to maintain. I rate it a five out of ten. 

We are using the solution to monitor these Caltrain routers from Huawei. It is for infrastructure monitoring.

The solution is good on the wallet. 

If you are using Huawei Switches, Huawei Routers, and so on, it's better to have the Huawei eSight.

It's easy to set up.

The solution is stable. 

We can scale the solution. 

The solution is relatively well-priced.

If you need to monitor for Cisco or other switches, then they are not so effective enough. Huawei eSight is better for Huawei infrastructure.

It is not a very flexible product. We cannot change much from our side. It's just not very customizable. 

Support could be better.

The documentation isn't ideal. And the issue with that is we can't troubleshoot anything ourselves. We need support in order to handle any issues. It's annoying that we are so helpless when a problem arises. 

We'd like to see more integration with other products. Right now, if we are also using Juniper or Cisco, and they add a feature, we need to figure out how to integrate everything within eSight and send requests to get help.

I've been using the solution for three years. 

We have found the product to be stable and reliable. There are no bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. 

It is scalable. It's not hard to expand as needed. 

We have about 20 people using the solution right now. Our marketing team uses it on a daily basis. They're doing a lot of monitoring and get a lot of alerts. 

Technical support is supposedly knowledgeable. For Huawei products, it's great. Of course, they could do a better job of training their team and educating them a bit better according to other devices.

We were using Tivoli IBM, and we switched to eSight. The pricing is better with Huawei. However, IBM is more customizable. eSight is hard to customize. It also lacks in documentation.

The solution is pretty straightforward to set up. If you are using other Huawei products, the integration is fine. 

We can monitor it pretty easily once it is up and running. 

I'd rate the ease of setup a three out of five. You need to have documentation, or, ideally, someone knowledgable to handle the setup.

We had a third-party consultant that handled the deployment process. 

The pricing is competitive. It's not overly expensive. We find other products, such as IBM, pricier. 

I'm not involved in the licensing aspects of the product.

We're a customer and end-user.

I'd recommend the product to others if you are already using Huawei products. However, if you are using other solutions and devices, like Cisco or Juniper, it's a bit better to use something else. 

I'd rate the solution seven out of ten.

We have multiple corporate customers here in Oman. We provide support to the customers for implementations and service issues.

There are many use cases. There are a lot of customers who are using the Huawei network. For one customer, we implemented the campus and the data center network with Huawei.

I like the real-time location monitor or RTLS feature. It is similar to the monitoring feature in Cisco Prime.

eSight has many features and options, but sometimes, we feel that it should be more advanced, like Cisco. It would be good if they can enable some automation part in eSight. Most of our customers want automation in their network. They don't want a dependency on everything. That's why the automation part must be improved in Huawei. It will be beneficial for customers. 

Cisco has different products, and there are multiple products for monitoring, automation, etc. In the software-defined network, Cisco has ACI, and VMware has NSX. Such options must be there in Huawei to move to a software-defined network. Unlike Cisco, in the case of eSight, there is only one product. I am not aware of any other product. It would be good to enhance it with at least some automation options so that we can use it effectively in the campus network or big data center environment.

When I implemented this Huawei solution, I faced some limitations in particular areas like wireless scanning. This is another part that they can improve. Wireless reporting option is not as effective as other monitoring solutions. For a particular use case, if a customer is asking for some reports, sometimes they are not 100% satisfactory. The reporting structure must be improved.

It is stable. We didn't face any problem when we implemented this product, and we also didn't face any major issues after the installation.

It is scalable. However, we are not able to install it with an auto-redundant node. We are not getting that option of redundancy or scalability. We have the option to install it in one single node.

Technical support is good from Huawei.

It is not always straightforward. It is sometimes complex, but we get good support from the documentation. We were able to achieve this because of the documentation support.

Its pricing is better than any other Huawei product. Some products are cheaper in Huawei, and some products are cheaper in Cisco. Cisco has more benefits and options than Huawei if you consider different network environments.

I would recommend this solution depending upon the budget and requirements of a customer. If a customer is asking for automation, I have some Cisco products for automation. If a customer is asking for some low priced and cheap device, I have solutions in Huawei. It also depends on the network environment and the efficiency to handle the network in a particular technology. If a customer is very happy with Huawei and he is more knowledgeable about Huawei devices, he would prefer Huawei. Those having the Cisco devices would only prefer Cisco. Similarly, an HP customer would prefer HP. As a technical person, I have all the options. I am not bound to one option. 

I would rate Huawei eSight a six out of ten.

Huawei eSight is used for infrastructure monitoring and normally works with the Huawei product line only. It is not a generic tool that can work with all devices.

Huawei eSight provides businesses with monitoring capabilities of network devices across networks. Most administrators install this NMS. It is not available to the public.

The Network Traffic Analyzer is the most valuable feature.

This solution could be improved by offering monitoring for all devices and not only Huawei devices. 

I have four years experience working with this solution. 

This is a stable solution. I would rate it a nine out of ten. 

This is a scalable solution. Accommodating larger volumes requires that you perform an upgrade. If you want to create a cluster, the procedure can be complex. 

For Huawei infrastructure, I would rate the scalability of this solution an eight out of ten. For a non-Huawei set up, I would rate it a two or a three. 

I would rate the support for this solution a nine out of ten.

The initial setup is very complex, however, they do offer a one-click option that makes it very easy to install. I would rate the initial setup an eight out of ten because if you experience any problems, you need to have some knowledge of the product. 

Deployment only takes a couple of hours. The design of the setup takes a bit longer, especially of if it is not a Huawei network. 

With the one-click setup, it'll automatically install on the Huawei appliance and the process is very simple. If you have to install it on a VM, then it's a very complex process. If it's a Huawei provided appliance, then you don't need anyone to maintain the solution.

I would rate this solution a nine out of ten for pricing. The pricing depends on which features you use and can become expensive. 

This solution offers very limited applications and databases and this is an area for improvement.

For complete Huawei environments, it is a good tool.

I would rate this solution a five out of ten.

My primary use case is to monitor network devices and configure switches.

eSight allows me to monitor and solve any problem in the backbone and any switch in real-time.

The most valuable features are monitoring and reporting.

Something that could be improved is the lack of integration with Cisco switches. In the next release, I would like to see better reporting.

I've been using this solution for about a year.

The eSight solution is very stable.

I have previously used Cisco Prime Infrastructure, which I prefer to eSight as it's fully integrated with Cisco devices.

The initial setup was straightforward, taking between two and four days.

I would recommend this application for those using Huawei devices. I would give this solution a score of five out of ten.

We deployed Huawei eSight as a monitoring tool for monitoring switches and access points.

Since we have a central monitoring system, we can proactively monitor those devices. Before it experiences major downtime, we can easily capture any abnormalities, and we can quickly address the issues before they became a bigger problem in the future. You don't have to go to a specific location to configure anything. All management will be done through eSight.

I like that it supports all our Huawei devices. Unlike other network monitoring tools that monitor Huawei devices, it provides more details when it comes to monitoring or management. We can get complete details about the devices, and management is also simple.

In my experience with eSight, I can tell you that you will experience a number of alerts that can be stressful to the administrator monitoring plenty of devices. They can simplify that part. 

It will be better if they can make the simple network topology part more presentable. It would also be better if they had API integration and integration with third-party devices. 

I have been dealing with Huawei eSight since 2016.

Huawei eSight is stable.

Huawei eSight is scalable.

Based on my experience, a long time ago, technical support wasn't so good. But through the years, they have improved their technical support.

The initial setup is straightforward if the installation goes quite smoothly. But if you encounter errors, you will encounter more complexity in the system. But Huawei offers tech support that can support you with that issue.

Pricing depends on the competition. If your competitor is like Cisco, then Huawei is much more competitive when it comes to pricing.

I would advise new users to follow the installation manual provided on the Huawei website. All the details and steps are given there, including what steps to take if you encounter an error.

On a scale from one to ten, I would give Huawei eSight an eight.

We primarily use the solution for network management.

The most important features are alarm management and the visualization of the health of our network devices.

The solution needs to improve it's user interface to make it more modern and stylish. They need to design proper menu positions, features, etc. Right now the layout is complicated.

The solution could offer better integration with other products.

I wouldn't say the stability is excellent. It's okay.

The solution is scalable.

Technical support for the solution is not so good.

Our company used a Cisco Management System a long time ago. Our organization switched to using Huawei products and network devices and in general moved away from Cisco.
