My main use case for Huntress Managed EDR is for malware and EDR protection for endpoints. I use Huntress Managed EDR for endpoint protection in my environment on Windows and Mac devices, as it integrates with Defender and protects devices from threats.

Lightweight endpoint protection has reduced support tickets and improves security monitoring
Pros and Cons
- "After deploying Huntress Managed EDR, it took no time to start improving my organization's security."
- "It would be nice if Huntress Managed EDR started adding additional features that some of the other competitors have, but obviously, to keep it lightweight, they cannot pack too much into it."
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
The best features Huntress Managed EDR offers is that it is extremely easy to deploy and it is lightweight as it integrates with Defender on Windows devices, and then it operates independently on Mac. Because it is easy to deploy, it does not affect people too much.
Huntress Managed EDR has positively impacted my organization, as we switched from a past solution when we went to them in the first place and it was much better. Since switching to Huntress Managed EDR, it is a much more lightweight install, and the previous tool we had was constantly causing weird issues on computers because it was absorbing all the resources and causing slowdowns.
I have noticed measurable improvements such as fewer support tickets for the installation issues that the non-Huntress product that we used to use would cause.
What needs improvement?
It would be nice if Huntress Managed EDR started adding additional features that some of the other competitors have, but obviously, to keep it lightweight, they cannot pack too much into it. Quality of life improvements could be made.
I think some device control, such as USB ports in general or maybe being able to do privileged access management via Huntress Managed EDR would be nice. We use another tool for that, so it would be great if they had their own module for it that would work via the agent that they are already installing.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Huntress Managed EDR for about five years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Huntress Managed EDR is stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Huntress Managed EDR scales very well, and even the pricing gets a little cheaper as you reach different tiers.
How are customer service and support?
Support for Huntress Managed EDR is good, but we do not have to use them very often, which is probably also a good thing.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Neutral
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I previously used Bitdefender and switched to Huntress Managed EDR because of the problems we were having that affected devices.
How was the initial setup?
There is no setup cost with Huntress Managed EDR, and the licensing is about a dollar per device.
What was our ROI?
I have not seen a return on investment specifically. It is replacing a tool, and the other tool it was replacing was more expensive at about 50 cents per device, which shows how much it is saving us.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I have used and evaluated other similar solutions. We have tested Bitdefender, SentinelOne, and Sophos. Huntress Managed EDR, compared to Bitdefender, SentinelOne, and Sophos, stands out as much more lightweight than the others.
What other advice do I have?
It impacts my day-to-day operations or the user experience for my team because it is all done through scripting, and there is no manual labor involved in deploying it. It is set through the EDR portal when a threat is actually detected. It integrates with our ticketing system, so Huntress Managed EDR sends it straight there.
Huntress Managed EDR is really good for the SMB, small and medium business market. As a managed service provider, I know we get tiered discounts for purchasing as a non-MSP, but small and medium businesses would get those same benefits of price, and the quality is there. Huntress Managed EDR is fully managed 24/7, which affects my workload positively when it comes to triaging and managing alerts because it is great that they are monitoring since we are light staffed on weekends, holidays, and after hours. It is great that they are that front line for any of those major threats that come through.
We do not handle low severity threats with Huntress Managed EDR, but we do handle the medium and critical threats. There are definitely more expensive EDR tools out there, but we have additional tools in place, including Huntress Managed EDR offering additional tools. We definitely have not reduced the need for security, and we do not have a security analyst, but we have people on staff with some training in that aspect.
Huntress Managed EDR has affected my organization's overall security positively. Being relatively cost-effective, it goes out there on all of them and constantly looks for threats. After deploying Huntress Managed EDR, it took no time to start improving my organization's security. The improvement was immediate.
I would say to definitely go for Huntress Managed EDR. It is a great product. My company does not have a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer. I found this interview fine overall, but the AI voice chatbot is not great. I would rate this review an 8.

Managed security has reduced my workload and has enabled me to offer stronger client protection
Pros and Cons
- "Huntress Managed EDR has positively impacted my organization because I can confidently tell clients that I am offering a best-in-class, state-of-the-art MDR solution incorporated within my offerings."
- "One area where Huntress Managed EDR can improve is in alerting."
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Huntress Managed EDR is that I am an MSP, so I have incorporated Huntress Managed EDR into my offering for all my clients as a default MDR solution. This means that any client machines which I manage always have Huntress Managed EDR installed on them for managed detection and response.
A quick, specific example of how I use Huntress Managed EDR for one of my clients involves a client in health services where Huntress Managed EDR found that they were storing passwords in plain text in Excel files on their client machines. Huntress Managed EDR pointed this out to me, and I spoke with the client to let them know about the potential security risk of those files being present, and we resolved the issue.
My main use case for Huntress Managed EDR is that it actually provides a fully autonomous solution, so I do not have to worry about day-to-day operations or manually going through all the logs and antivirus alarms to check whether all my clients are secure or not. I can rely on Huntress Managed EDR to alert me of any abnormalities or anomalies and to help resolve any issues.
What is most valuable?
The best feature of Huntress Managed EDR is its integrations and scripting capabilities. When I install RMM on my client machine, my RMM has a policy set up to install Huntress Managed EDR on the client machine straight away. This process installs Huntress Managed EDR, turns on all the antivirus features, updates, and manages signatures on the client machines, and it produces all the data into the Huntress Managed EDR platform for me to access.
The integrations and scripting that Huntress Managed EDR offers make my work significantly easier because I do not have to install Huntress Managed EDR specifically on every single client machine individually. My RMM, which is Gorilla, has defined policies, scripts, and integration with Huntress Managed EDR. I only need to map the client in Huntress Managed EDR organization with my Gorilla client, and I can create policies to install Huntress Managed EDR automatically when Gorilla is installed on the client machine. This greatly streamlines my workload, allowing me to manage Huntress Managed EDR installation and reinstallation directly from both Gorilla and the Huntress Managed EDR platform.
Huntress Managed EDR has positively impacted my organization because I can confidently tell clients that I am offering a best-in-class, state-of-the-art MDR solution incorporated within my offerings. This means my clients do not need to purchase any other antivirus or MDR solution or pay me separately for any additional security, creating a strong value proposition and enhancing my competitive position.
What needs improvement?
One area where Huntress Managed EDR can improve is in alerting. Recently, one of the RMMs I use went crazy and was flagged by Windows Defender antivirus as a Trojan. However, I was not alerted by Huntress Managed EDR about the Trojan detected on my computer, though Windows Defender quarantined it. Huntress Managed EDR indicated this is a normal behavior, but I would prefer to be alerted whenever there is any incident involving Windows Defender on any machines, regardless of the status of the incident.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Huntress Managed EDR for about three years or more.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Huntress Managed EDR is stable so far.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Huntress Managed EDR is easy to scale; it is automatic.
How are customer service and support?
My experience with customer support has been good; I have been assigned an account manager, and I have no complaints.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Before choosing Huntress Managed EDR, I considered SentinelOne, but I did not evaluate the MDR side of it. I was using SentinelOne's EDR side for about three to four years before switching to Huntress Managed EDR.
What was our ROI?
While I do not have specific measurable metrics to share, I can say that I have seen a return on investment since I do not need another staff member to manage the alerts or threats from any client machines, which means money and time saved.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing has been very straightforward, as Huntress Managed EDR pricing is clear, the setup cost is transparent, and licensing is easy to understand.
What other advice do I have?
The cloud provider I use is Huntress.
Using Huntress Managed EDR is straightforward; I only need to install it on the client machine, and then I have access to the Huntress Managed EDR platform to view all the relevant information in one place.
The fact that the solution is fully managed by Huntress Managed EDR 24/7 has significantly reduced my workload regarding triaging and managing alerts, providing me with assurance and peace of mind that all my network and computers are secured.
I do take advantage of Huntress Managed EDR's ability to automatically remediate low-severity threats, which has reduced my workload related to security operations because I do not have to continuously monitor all my client machines for all alerts.
My advice to others looking into using Huntress Managed EDR is that it is a very robust solution that offers great value for money at a very good price. I would rate my overall experience with this solution a 10 out of 10.

Managing Director at a tech services company with 11-50 employees
Easy to use, scalable, and cost effective
Pros and Cons
- "The most valuable aspect of Huntress Managed EDR is its personalized approach."
- "Huntress Managed EDR eliminates the need to outsource expensive security tools or analysts, avoiding the high costs associated with external solutions."
- "The integration with Autotask could be improved."
What is our primary use case?
We needed a solution to monitor two customer servers and a desktop server for threats, particularly during development. Therefore, we chose Huntress Managed EDR.
How has it helped my organization?
Huntress Managed EDR is easy to use.
We like that Huntress Managed EDR is focused on the SMB market.
Since implementing Huntress Managed EDR, we have not had any threat issues.
One of the main features we appreciate about Huntress is the human element involved in triaging and determining the severity of a problem before forwarding an alert. We value this managed service approach that provides an additional layer of support and analysis.
Huntress Managed EDR eliminates the need to outsource expensive security tools or analysts, avoiding the high costs associated with external solutions. This comprehensive product provides the necessary capabilities in-house, saving us from the financial burden of outsourcing.
Huntress has allowed us to discontinue the use of Webroot and utilize the free, built-in Windows Defender antivirus system, which they manage as part of their product feature set. We now use Huntress EDR combined with Huntress Managed Windows Defender.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable aspect of Huntress Managed EDR is its personalized approach. As a dedicated company focused solely on this service, Huntress prioritizes individual relationships and provides attentive support, unlike larger corporations with diverse product portfolios. This fosters a sense of trust and partnership, ensuring clients receive direct and committed assistance.
The support Huntress provides is valuable.
What needs improvement?
The integration with Autotask could be improved. Currently, it doesn't classify the "installed product" or "configuration item," as they are called in Autotask, preventing automated handling. Additionally, updates could flow more seamlessly to Autotask. Overall, a more enhanced integration would be beneficial.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Huntress Managed EDR for five years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I would rate the stability of Huntress Managed EDR nine out of ten.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I would rate the scalability of Huntress Managed EDR ten out of ten.
How are customer service and support?
The technical support provides that personal service and proactiveness.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
How was the initial setup?
The deployment is straightforward because it's rolled out via our Datto RMM system. Huntress Managed EDR takes five seconds to roll out per device.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Huntress Managed EDR offers a fair pricing model. While the initial cost was low and has since increased, it has stabilized at a reasonable rate. The introduction of Managed Defender allowed us to transition clients from Webroot to Huntress without a significant price difference. The savings from utilizing the included Windows Defender offset the cost of Huntress Managed EDR, making it an affordable solution overall.
What other advice do I have?
I would rate Huntress Managed EDR nine out of ten.
Our management system has an automated routine that automatically reinstalls Huntress if it's ever uninstalled, eliminating overhead. Occasionally, an agent might get stuck at a specific version, requiring manual remediation. This might involve a minimal time commitment of approximately an hour per month to check for updates and ensure all versions and statuses are current.
As a Managed Service Provider, we deploy Huntress Managed EDR to all our customers, covering approximately 1,400 endpoints. Our team of ten technicians utilizes the platform to serve our clientele, which predominantly consists of hotels in the hospitality industry.
While alternative solutions might be preferable in certain situations, I would generally recommend Huntress Managed EDR.

Managed detection has reduced our workload and has strengthened client security operations
Pros and Cons
- "Huntress Managed EDR has helped significantly reduce our workload so that our engineers can focus on other tasks at hand."
What is our primary use case?
I haven't utilized their cybersecurity awareness training because we use KnowBe4 for that, but when it comes to ITDR, EDR, and SIEM, I've used all of those products. I use them fairly regularly with my clients, so we have four different offerings when it comes to EDR: SentinelOne, Sophos, Huntress Managed EDR, and ThreatLocker, which we actually just recently added to our line card.
When it comes to Huntress Managed EDR, it's been my preferred ITDR and EDR because we've had great success utilizing Huntress Managed EDR's own network and security operations center. EDR is a requirement for every business that we work with. A lot of the businesses that we work with usually have something as simple as Webroot, which is more geared towards residential use. I always recommend something more robust when it comes to business-grade EDR. That's been my experience with Huntress Managed EDR—getting people switched over from these really basic antivirus software that they have.
It's been significantly more secure, especially because we get to offload some of the work from our engineers to Huntress Managed EDR's own security operations center. It's helped make our organization more secure, our clients more secure, and also helped offload a significant workload from our engineers.
I actually just had a client who had a breach. They brought us in after the fact and their email was getting locked down by ransomware. I was immediately able to deploy Huntress Managed EDR to help remediate that issue.
What is most valuable?
Huntress Managed EDR is extremely robust, very secure, and I recommend it to every client that I work with.
Huntress Managed EDR has helped significantly reduce our workload so that our engineers can focus on other tasks at hand. It's been nothing but a great success and a great experience working with Huntress Managed EDR.
Huntress Managed EDR is very easy to deploy. It's our preferred Endpoint Detection and Response and IT Detection and Response for every endpoint. I have not had any issues whatsoever.
Working with their network operations center has been a wealth of knowledge when it comes to remediation. I would give it a ten only because, comparatively to other software that we use, Huntress Managed EDR does the best job.
What needs improvement?
I actually haven't used their cybersecurity awareness training, so I'm not sure how that really stacks up against the competition. That probably doesn't seem to be a big push for them. I would to see more work being done on the cybersecurity awareness training because we have other preferred products that we could use. I'd like to see them having more focus on that.
For how long have I used the solution?
It's been about two years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Huntress Managed EDR is a lot more secure than other antivirus software that our clients typically would have.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
A lot of the businesses that we work with usually have something as simple as Webroot, which is more geared towards residential use. I always recommend something more robust when it comes to business-grade EDR. That's been my experience with Huntress Managed EDR—getting people switched over from these really basic antivirus software that they have.
How was the initial setup?
Anytime we install Endpoint Detection and Response, it's anywhere from five to seven minutes per endpoint.
What about the implementation team?
That would probably be a question best answered by one of my engineers. They're actually behind the scenes doing all the actual work. Huntress Managed EDR has been our preferred product when it comes to any endpoint and IT detection and response across the board. We've used SentinelOne, we've used Sophos, we've used ThreatLocker. Huntress Managed EDR is definitely our preferred software.
What was our ROI?
Huntress Managed EDR has helped significantly reduce our workload so that our engineers can focus on other tasks at hand. It's been nothing but a great success and a great experience working with Huntress Managed EDR.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Pricing is fine. It's in line with other cybersecurity software that are available. SentinelOne is probably more expensive, so Huntress Managed EDR falls somewhere in the middle. We charge our clients fifteen dollars per endpoint, but it's anywhere between seven to fifteen dollars depending on what product we need. Pricing is really in line with what the current market is at.
What other advice do I have?
I don't really have anything negative to say about Huntress Managed EDR or working with them or using their software. I have no feedback to provide there. That's all being taken care of by Huntress Managed EDR. One of my engineers has had experience with their support, but I don't recall what that was specifically. My overall rating for this product is ten out of ten.

Managed alerts have cut noise and now a dedicated team handles real threats for our clients
Pros and Cons
- "I have nothing negative to say about my main use case or how my team interacts with Huntress Managed EDR because Huntress Managed EDR is superb."
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Huntress Managed EDR is securing our digital estate and providing that same level of security to our customer base. A specific example of how I use Huntress for that purpose is that I leverage the SOC's expertise to analyze events and signals and rely on their advice and guidance on how to proceed with threats in an ever-evolving landscape.
What is most valuable?
The best features Huntress Managed EDR offers include noise suppression, so they keep their alerts to the absolute minimum. When that alert comes through, I know it is important, whereas other SOCs seem to churn out alerts constantly.
The noise suppression has kept me focused on real issues, so I do not suffer from any alert fatigue with Huntress Managed EDR because when something comes from them, I know it is going to be real and it is going to be something I need to address.
Huntress Managed EDR has positively impacted my organization by reducing effort from the service desk, which no longer has to try and unpick and unravel things that they are probably not best trained for. We are not security analysts; we are support people, and being able to have a helpful group of security analysts on hand provides assurance, saves time, and helps uplift our customers and increase security.
Time saved is definitely one specific outcome I have noticed. While other SOCs churn out maybe ten, fifteen, or twenty alerts a month, I get maybe one alert from Huntress Managed EDR, and that is due to the human element of the investigation, not just forwarding on events from its service but actually having intelligence behind it offered by their human analysis team.
What needs improvement?
To improve Huntress Managed EDR, I would probably ask for more integrations with other antivirus solutions. They have recently done integration with SentinelOne and have a deep integration with Defender for Endpoint, but offering that integration into the other market leaders in antivirus would increase the product scope.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Huntress Managed EDR for about eighteen months.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Huntress Managed EDR is very stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Huntress Managed EDR's scalability has no issues. It seems very elastic in its approach, and anything I have thrown at it has not caused any issues or disruption. It is very easy to scale.
How are customer service and support?
The customer support for Huntress Managed EDR is superb, being very responsive, very understanding, and very patient.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I did not previously use a different solution, but I have used other SOCs which came with clients, so I have an understanding of what the other solutions provide.
How was the initial setup?
The product itself is extremely easy to use and to onboard compared with its competitors. There are no additional servers that I require to spin up, and no additional licensing that is required. I can go from zero to hero in a very short space of time.
What about the implementation team?
Using Huntress Managed EDR has not reduced the need for expensive security tools, but it has complemented the tooling that we have. While I still have my security stack in place, I now have dedicated security analysts who are able to navigate that territory and use it effectively.
What was our ROI?
I do not have any metrics I could share that would help on the return on investment question, but there is definitely a time saving. Before, I would have to try and work through security events myself when I am not a security analyst. Now having a SOC to lean on in these events who is going to give me clear, concise answers is a significant time saver.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I was not involved in the pricing discussions.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Before choosing Huntress Managed EDR, I evaluated quite a few options. Blackpoint springs to mind, but this was some time ago.
What other advice do I have?
I have nothing negative to say about my main use case or how my team interacts with Huntress Managed EDR because Huntress Managed EDR is superb. All our interactions with them from account management to support to their product integration are all excellent.
I have nothing else to add about the features.
To those looking to use Huntress Managed EDR, my advice is to give it a trial. Look at the dashboards, check out the reports, engage the support team, and see for yourself what it is like.
I have nothing else to add about the needed improvements or any other features I wish Huntress Managed EDR would offer.
After deploying Huntress Managed EDR, I would say it took almost immediate effect to start improving my organization's security because as soon as the telemetry starts flowing towards their organization, I can see the signals being investigated, providing assurance almost overnight that there is now a team looking at these events where before there was none.
I rate Huntress Managed EDR a solid eight. I choose an eight because of the integration I mentioned earlier, where it is definitely going to benefit from some more integration with other antivirus product vendors, and also because there is always going to be room to improve.

Provides responsive support and efficient threat resolution
Pros and Cons
- "Their SOC is super responsive and does a great job of catching incidences and being on top of any issues that arise."
- "Their SOC is super responsive and does a great job of catching incidences and being on top of any issues that arise."
- "We are still getting many false positives."
- "The ITDR product is coming along great, however, we are still getting many false positives."
What is our primary use case?
We are using it as an MDR, EDR, antivirus product. We are also utilizing their Microsoft 365 ITDR, which is the new name, and their security awareness training platform. The only product they offer that we do not use currently is their SIM tool. It is on our radar and our roadmap, but we are not using it.
What is most valuable?
Their SOC is super responsive and does a great job of catching incidences and being on top of any issues that arise. They have an automated remediation tool that works well for both ITDR and EDR. It allows approval of remediations, performs all the necessary steps, verifies them, and resolves issues efficiently.
What needs improvement?
The ITDR product is coming along great, however, we are still getting many false positives. A lot of user accounts get locked out over nonissues, and while they are easy to resolve, someone still needs to take action. It is time spent by a technician.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using it for a little over two and a half years, coming up on three years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I have never had a problem that was Huntress's fault.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It is pretty scalable. I am currently running a little over twenty-five hundred endpoints without any problems or concerns about managing that number of computers.
How are customer service and support?
If I contact support, it is almost immediate. They respond quickly and work with me until the problem is fully resolved. They are thorough and ensure the problem is addressed without pushing responsibilities onto me unnecessarily.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Neutral
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Previously, we used SentinelOne, Webroot, and BlackPoint. I switched since I have tested SentinelOne multiple times and could bypass it. BlackPoint generates many false positives, taking more time to manage than Huntress.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup process was smooth. We were provided with an engineer who wrote a script based on our current structure and remote management software. This script allowed easy deployment, and Huntress's support ensured everything went smoothly.
What about the implementation team?
We were given an engineer who sat down with us, understood our current setup, wrote a script for deployment, and did all the backend work necessary for a smooth deployment.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The pricing is piecemeal, per agent on EDR, MDR, and per user on ITDR. It can get expensive for small to medium businesses if large license quantities are not purchased. However, given Huntress's success rate, I am willing to pay for a product that performs well.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
The alternatives I have used include SentinelOne, Webroot, and BlackPoint.
What other advice do I have?
I rate Huntress an eight out of ten. I prefer using it over other security tools because it has been reliable and efficient in catching incidents and isolating threats quickly.

Managed protection has provided 24/7 SOC coverage and supports a small team with seamless defense
Pros and Cons
- "Huntress Managed EDR has positively impacted my organization, with improvements in security and the backing of a 24/7 SOC for a small team at Evolve IT being the reason why we went with the partnership with Huntress initially."
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Huntress Managed EDR is having a 24/7 backed SOC to protect all our clients. Huntress Managed EDR is configured with Defender for 100% of our client base as a specific example of how I use it with my clients.
What is most valuable?
The best feature Huntress Managed EDR offers is EDR. The integration with Microsoft stands out to me in the features of Huntress Managed EDR, not referring to BDR.
The integration with Microsoft benefits my organization and workflow because, with Evolve IT being a Microsoft partner, having an EDR product that integrates seamlessly with Microsoft is hugely beneficial. The remediation is visible through logs within Microsoft.
Huntress Managed EDR has positively impacted my organization. The positive impact looks like improvements in security; having the backing of a 24/7 SOC for a small team at Evolve IT was the reason why we went with the partnership with Huntress initially.
What needs improvement?
I cannot say anything, even something small, that could make Huntress Managed EDR even better for my organization, as not having any experience with other products like CrowdStrike or SentinelOne MDR makes it hard to determine what could be improved. We are very happy with the features it provides and the security and the partnership in general.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Huntress Managed EDR for two years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Huntress Managed EDR is stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Huntress Managed EDR is very scalable.
How are customer service and support?
The customer support is excellent. I would rate the customer support on a scale of one to ten as a ten.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I did not previously use a different solution.
How was the initial setup?
Huntress Managed EDR is very easy to use from the portal; the various portals, the EDR, the ThreatOps, the SOC, they are all very easy to navigate on the main portal page.
What was our ROI?
I have seen a return on investment in terms of time saved, definitely. I do not have metrics around it, but we did not have the ability to offer a 24/7 SOC prior to Huntress Managed EDR.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing shows that pricing is competitive, the setup cost was minimal, and the licensing model is good, with the account manager that we have being very proactive in pushing us onto the greater discount tiers when available to us.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I evaluated other similar solutions before choosing Huntress Managed EDR, specifically CrowdStrike and Arctic Wolf. The partnership and the community aspect of Huntress was a draw early on when comparing Huntress with CrowdStrike and Arctic Wolf regarding providing proactive protection against threats.
What other advice do I have?
I rate Huntress Managed EDR overall as a nine out of ten because nothing is 100% perfect. Huntress Managed EDR is a solution specifically for the SMB market as 100% of our clients have Huntress Managed EDR deployed. The fact that Huntress Managed EDR is fully managed 24/7 has affected my workload positively when it comes to triaging and managing alerts, allowing me the peace of mind knowing that whenever Huntress Managed EDR is deployed at one of our clients, that site is backed by the SOC, which is invaluable for a small company at Evolve.
Using Huntress Managed EDR has not necessarily helped reduce the need for expensive security tools or hiring expensive security analysts, as we were always going to have a solution whether it was Huntress Managed EDR or CrowdStrike or SentinelOne MDR. My advice to others looking into using Huntress Managed EDR is to get on board as soon as possible. My company has a business relationship with this vendor beyond being a customer, as we are a reseller and partner. I rate Huntress Managed EDR overall as a nine out of ten.
