Easy to use, stable, and helps to rapidly develop automation to help reduce manual tasks
Pros and Cons
  • "The most valuable features are rapid development, stability, and ease of use."
  • "The quality of the service needs to be improved."

What is our primary use case?

We have a group of customers that provide services for contact centers, and those customers have their own systems. Frequently, we can find opportunities for automation so we execute the analysis to search for what kinds of solutions we can deploy. After the development, we charge

We use it with Automation Anywhere version 11.

How has it helped my organization?

By using this solution, we have been able to reduce the manual tasks that are performed by our telephone operators.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable features are rapid development, stability, and ease of use.

This is a very useful product and the intelligence is powerful.

What needs improvement?

The quality of the service needs to be improved.

Having a complete cloud version, as a SaaS, would be quite nice.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

This product is absolutely scalable. We probably have 100 users.

According to the demand, we expect that our usage will grow, although it is difficult to say by how much at this point.

How are customer service and support?

We have been in touch with technical support through online means, and we also have a partner that assists us with technical issues.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I used to work with Automate from HelpSystems, as well as Softomotive.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is relatively easy. The deployment took about one month.

The functionality is centralized around a control room, in on-premises infrastructure.

What about the implementation team?

We have an internal group of developers who deployed it.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

There are more affordable solutions than this. For example, with UiPath, you can download the software, install it, and start working with it. You don't have to pay for anything until you want to connect to the centralized servers. It is very nice.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We may look at other options in the future, such as UiPath and Blue Prism.

What other advice do I have?

My advice for anybody who is implementing this product is that it's quite important to well-define what the problem is, in order to have an efficient development cycle.

The biggest lesson that I have learned from using IQ Bot is that it's important to carefully consider the scope of the project in order to avoid any pitfalls. You don't want to try automating things that are not viable, or not suitable for automation.

I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.

Easy to use extraction tool but scrips can only be written in Python
Pros and Cons
  • "It's quite easy to use, you just have to map the filter to keep it going."
  • "The log scripts can only be written in Python, there is no compatible language."

What is our primary use case?

We use it as an extraction tool.

What is most valuable?

It's quite easy to use, you just have to map the filter to keep it going.

What needs improvement?

The log scripts can only be written in Python, there is no compatible language.

The cloud version is not good and the fees are expensive.

The Auto Logic creation is available as a plug-and-play model, and this should be available in IQ Bot.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with IQ Bot for eight months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Other than being on a cloud network, it's fine, it's stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It's scalable, we use it for most of our use case. We have no issues with it.

We have less than five users in our company.

Based on the use cases, we may have plans to increase our usage.

How are customer service and technical support?

They provide technical support.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is straightforward.

It took less than a week to deploy.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

It's expensive.

What other advice do I have?

IQ Bot is a part of Automation Anywhere.

I would rate this solution a seven out of ten.

Powerful, easy to use, and useful for extracting data from the images in PDFs
Pros and Cons
  • "The detection or extraction of data from the images in PDFs is the feature that I use the most. It is a good solution in terms of how easily you can administer or manage this tool. It is quite easy to use, and it is powerful in terms of what it can do."
  • "I've used versions 11 and 2019 of this solution. The problem with version 11 is integration. When you are using a conventional bot and you try to use IQ Bot development, you don't have a specific feature for integrating these two pieces or components of Automation Anywhere. I was seeing some issues while trying to, for example, send some PDF to an IQ Bot processor and get a response for that process. So, there is a problem with integrating the conventional task automation and IQ Bot in version 11. In contrast, version 2019 already has the integration feature, and we can easily integrate two components. There are some features that must be there in version 11 but are currently missing. There is no total control over some features in IQ Bot. Some variables cannot be parametrized when using IQ Bot directly. The AI features that IQ Bot has must be more open to being parameterized by the user. It would be good if Automation Anywhere exposed some parameters so that I can adjust them as a customer. This is an improvement that Automation Anywhere can do. I would like to see some features related to deep learning in the next releases of IQ Bot. These will be some interesting features to see."

What is our primary use case?

I use it for reading some data from PDFs. I am putting this data into Excel spreadsheets.

I have used IQ Bot in my own installation as well as in the cloud. I have used it as a trial and as a part of a customer IT data center. I use it on a monthly basis.

What is most valuable?

The detection or extraction of data from the images in PDFs is the feature that I use the most.

It is a good solution in terms of how easily you can administer or manage this tool. It is quite easy to use, and it is powerful in terms of what it can do.

What needs improvement?

I've used versions 11 and 2019 of this solution. This is an improvement that Automation Anywhere can do.

I would like to see some features related to deep learning in the next releases of IQ Bot. These will be some interesting features to see.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using this solution for approximately six months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I didn't do the task of scaling, but I think it is quite good in terms of scalability. You just need to add more nodes to your cluster and configuration, which is quite easy. We have almost 20 users.

How are customer service and technical support?

The response time can be improved. At times, I created a ticket, but I didn't get a quick response. Time is the key because we need to make some decisions based on that response. The response time is the only issue. When a support agent contacts you, the process of helping you is quite good.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is straightforward. For a new bot, in terms of hours, the deployment isn't at all long. I could deploy my bots very quickly. I could do this task in less than an hour.

What other advice do I have?

I would advise others to define the permissions partly in terms of the network. It is a key concern. I would also suggest first reading all the docs to totally understand the task. You could follow the steps to deploy it correctly.

I would recommend this solution to others. It is quite a good tool.

I would rate IQ Bot an eight out of ten.

Easily scalable, very stable, and easy to set up
Pros and Cons
  • "The way that the learning combines with the OCR is the solution's most valuable aspect."
  • "It would be helpful if the solution was better at reading handwriting. It needs better handwriting recognition."

What is our primary use case?

Our clients use the solution to automate back-office processes such as credit requirements. They also may use it to review contracts and to process invoices.

What is most valuable?

The way that the learning combines with the OCR is the solution's most valuable aspect.

What needs improvement?

If they could improve the usability to train the models that process the farms, that would be helpful for our clients.

It would be helpful if the solution was better at reading handwriting. It needs better handwriting recognition.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using the solution for one year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is very stable. It works very well. We haven't had issues with bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash. It's reliable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We've never had issues with scalability. It's been quite good. If a company needs to expand it it should be able to do so without too many issues.

Typically we sell the solution to large and medium-sized organizations.

How are customer service and technical support?

The technical support has been pretty good. We'd rate it nine out of ten. If they were a bit faster in their response, I'd give them perfect marks. However, that said, we're pretty satisfied with the level of service we're given.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is straightforward. It's not complex at all,

The installation is very quick due to the fact that it is a cloud solution. It takes one day to get ready. However, to finalize everything takes on average ten days.

What other advice do I have?

We're resellers. We offer this solution to many of our clients.

I would advise that new users try to get all kinds of forms from the beginning of the deployment. It will make things easier down the road.

I'd rate the solution nine out of ten. We've been pretty happy with the solution overall.

Feature rich, easy invoice extraction, and good support, but it is lacking in pre-processing capabilities
Pros and Cons
  • "The ease that it provides in extracting vendor invoices, without having to configure them, was the reason for which we had gone with a solution."
  • "It was challenging to have to do the pre-processing and tax inputting on our own."

What is our primary use case?

We are currently using this solution, and are interested in providing services to our clients in the future.

We are using IQ Bot for the internal finance department. We are dealing with invoices from many different vendors.

What is most valuable?

The ease that it provides in extracting vendor invoices, without having to configure them, was the reason for which we had gone with a solution.

Feature-wise it's good.

What needs improvement?

We are working with IQ Bot, but we are not impressed with it. It works well with static documents but not otherwise.

It was challenging to have to do the pre-processing and tax inputting on our own. They didn't have a feature through IQ Bot.

The way you implement the pre-processing needs improvement. In many cases, the invoices that are received have the fax cover page, and with terms and conditions page. We have to input all of the pre-processing. It would be better to have it as a part of this solution, otherwise, every single invoice would be treated as a new document, even if it comes with terms and conditions and a cover page.

They still have a long way to go when dealing with a structured and unstructured environment.

Features are good, but when dealing with pre-existing models such as purchase orders, and invoice,s for example, the capabilities of the solution need improvement.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with IQ Bot for approximately one year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

We have not had any issues with stability.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It's a scalable solution. The biggest challenge that we faced was with the configuration.

It's for an internal finance team and we don't have more than five users at this time.

How are customer service and technical support?

We have contacted technical support many times. They are very helpful and very responsive in resolving any issues.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup was straightforward.

What about the implementation team?

We had help from Automation Anywhere which made the implementation easy.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

There are cheaper solutions on the market, but it involves more negotiating.

Typically, everyone starts at a higher price and negotiate to a lower price to compare with other vendors.

The pricing is complicated but I wouldn't say that they are expensive.

What other advice do I have?

If it has to do with a straightforward structured form, this solution works very well. If you are looking at an unstructured environment with a lot of variety there is some instability in terms of ease of use. It may be better with the 2019 version, but it is something that should be considered before they decide to implement this product.

I would rate IQ Bot a seven out of ten.

Character recognition feature saves significant time; product algorithms could be more efficient
Pros and Cons
  • "The character recognition feature is very good."
  • "Product algorithms could be improved."

What is our primary use case?

The IQ Bot that we develop is actually for detecting text in a PDF invoice file. Companies generally have different types of invoices from different clients with different formats. We use IQ Bot to detect the information we need from the different formats. We plan to deploy this to our customers but meanwhile have two or three people using it in our company. We deal with the maintenance in-house. We use IQ Bot when there's a relevant project, it depends on the case. We are partners with IQ Bot and I'm an RPA developer.

What is most valuable?

One of the issues we have is being able to detect a variety of texts or dates that are written differently depending on the invoice, so character recognition, OCR, is a very good feature.

What needs improvement?

The product algorithms could be improved to increase accuracy. We currently need to make regular adjustments, constantly retraining the product to cover all cases.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using this solution for five months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

We haven't reached complete stability yet but that's related to the tools that we're using. We're currently exploring RPA tools to see which is the best.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Scalability depends on the architecture of the development itself, but in terms of the tools that we're using it's scalable.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup was a little complex because server sites use different servers for IQ Bots, which means separate databases. The software is not that complicated if you understand the features. We have an internal IT consultant who carried out the implementation for us and it took a day to set it up.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The licensing cost is higher than a normal or standard license.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We looked at Power Automate as an option. The difference is mostly dependent on the clients' sites. A lot of our clients use Microsoft products and Power Automate integrates well with that. We are still considering the option of using Power Automate for our clients but it will probably be decided according to whether the company uses Microsoft products.

What other advice do I have?

I would suggest that if you have a complex process that requires decision making then IQ Bot is an option, but if it's a regular situation where there's no decision making and it's normal automation, then it may not be necessary. It depends on the automation process.

I would rate this solution a seven out of 10.

Self-learning capability facilitates working with undefined templates, but a community version should be available
Pros and Cons
  • "The most valuable feature is the cognitive, self-learning component that understands the undefined templates."
  • "It would be helpful if the IQ Bot OCR could be integrated with third-party solutions like FlexiCapture."

What is our primary use case?

I am a developer and I have used IQ Bot for one project. It is used for automation.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature is the cognitive, self-learning component that understands the undefined templates.

What needs improvement?

A community version of IQ Bot should be released so that more developers can gain experience with using it.

It would be helpful if the IQ Bot OCR could be integrated with third-party solutions like FlexiCapture.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with IQ Bot for between two and three months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Talking about stability, I would rate it a seven out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It is a scalable solution.

How are customer service and technical support?

I have not yet been in contact with technical support.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have about one year of experience with UI Path but I have not worked on any products that are comparable to IQ Bot.

What other advice do I have?

At this point, IQ Bot has only been running for a couple of months. In time, I will have a better understanding of the product, including its advantages and disadvantages.

I would rate this solution a seven out of ten.

Efficient at categorizing the different data types and formats
Pros and Cons
  • "The efficiency with which it was able to categorize the different data types and the format."
  • "It's not intuitive from a user standpoint."

What is our primary use case?

We used IQ BOT for document processing. It was semi unstructured data from the farms and some of the reports that were coming in. We were scanning them and then reading out the details and format and incorporating that in another application.

What is most valuable?

A very important feature is the efficiency with which it was able to categorize the different data types and the format. Also, the OCR was good. The efficiency of the optical connector reader or OCR was good enough for our usage.

What needs improvement?

It's not necessarily the IQ bot but the Automation Anywhere as a whole, I find it slightly complicated to use as compared to a product like Uibot. I would say it's not intuitive from a user standpoint. This leads to a specific specialist to be part of the team to work on it. Because otherwise business processes are best understood by the business people and the IT applications are better understood by the IT people. But when it comes to these kinds of automation, it is the business people that should be able to do it on their own. For that, it has to be intuitive. So that is one key concern that I found. It's not that intuitive for a person to work on it. The learning curve is quite high. However, adding the layers of UI would not mean add in a lot of layers of abstraction because that also adds a problem. The flexibility drops. The machine learning techniques like we have for these bots are slightly limited as of now. Maybe they're already extending it or maybe in the latest version that I have not used will provide extensive machine learning algorithms that can be integrated with the bot. But that was my only space which I see that could be better. Very soon features would be more, on a large number or more machine learning algorithms and specifically there is what we are researching right now, ourselves, with is machine learning. But, there is a subset of it which is self-learning. Self-learning is going to be a key aspect because as we start automating the processes, the processes also evolve and sometimes we need to read deep parts instead of that, there should be the capability of self-learning algorithms available. However, it's easier said than done and I can understand it's very difficult. But that is the key piece which I would like to see do better right now.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have used IQ BOT for a few months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

In the end, I believe IQ BOT is a very stable product.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I think IQ BOT is scalable.  If I had to rate it, then I would put the rate of 4.5 stars out of five. So it was good enough.

How are customer service and technical support?

The technical support is good. It is very good, in fact. They're quite reactive. They were able to help us out. So I have no complaints. I have nothing negative to say about them.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

When I joined this part of the team, they were already using Automation Anywhere. In our previous teams, we were using UI BOT and in fact, in the team that I was working with a few months ago was also using UI bot.

How was the initial setup?

I was not involved in the initial setup, so I cannot tell you about that. But in my experience, it was not complicated. It was easy. I know the setup but I was not involved in this particular setup here.

What other advice do I have?

I would say that IQ BOT Automation Anywhere was one of the leaders in the industry. Still is, and I think we initially invested a lot on Automation Anywhere and that's why we continued using it. However, it doesn't mean that Automation Anywhere doesn't have the caliber yet. It has a very strong capability set. And that was perhaps the reason why we went for Automation Anywhere. I would recommend it. It has been a good pleasure using the product. I would rate it eight on. a scale of ten. The reason is the intuitiveness and the second one is the range of machine learning algorithms that, when I was using it, was not there.
