A next-generation intelligent bots solution with a useful c-extraction feature
Pros and Cons
- "I personally feel that the c-extraction feature is valuable. After training it for a particular document, we can see the extractions there. Other than that, it has other features like Python scripting in-built, and these are the features that I feel stand out."
- "I think Automation Anywhere has a partnership with Google. I hope they integrate Google's OCR engine in some way with IQ Bot because the OCR engine that Google produces provides an in-built accuracy of close to 99%. That is the integration we are looking for, but we need to pay for IQ Bot. If they can integrate both and come up with better pricing, then it will be a huge boost because, in that case, the quality of an image or PDF quality is taken completely out of difficulty as Google tends to extract the data. That is something I am looking for if this happens."
What is our primary use case?
Our clients use it to extract details from purchase orders, like purchase order dates, purchase order numbers, and other details. It will extract it from that particular purchase order for a particular customer, and then it will feed it back to our ERP system.
What is most valuable?
I personally feel that the "See extraction" feature is valuable. After training it for a particular document, we can see the extractions there. Other than that, it has other features like Python scripting in-built, and these are the features that I feel stand out.
What needs improvement?
It would be better if they had some in-built formats for nonstandard requirements. Currently, the invoice has a thing, purchase orders has a thing, and other details of employment and onboarding are all easy. But if I have to put something out of the box, let's say if I want to read a rental agreement or if I want to read a property agreement, there isn't an option for that.
Initially, there was one issue when we were trying to switch from a development environment to a production environment. We needed to transpose or expose a bot to the production environment. There we had some issues where the in-built input feature stopped working for extended periods. It was an API to kind of input the versions from development to the production environment. But I think it has been fixed in the upcoming one.
I think Automation Anywhere has a partnership with Google. That is something I am looking for if this happens.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have used IQ Bot within the last 12 months.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
IQ Bot is definitely a reliable solution. But it has a dependency on the quality of the files that are uploaded. Better OCR is available in the form of Microsoft and Google. But if you are looking at the entire product, I think that's a spectrum, and I think it is quite stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It is scalable provided it already has the OCR engines inbuilt. Other than that, we want to add Google or Azure, or Microsoft. Ideally, if Google or Azure OCR is in-built, we could just integrate it in the premium versions of Google and Azure OCR. It does allow us to integrate with others things. We are a service provider company, and our entire team is about ten people. I have been using the IQ Bot for one customer.
How are customer service and technical support?
Technical support is definitely responsive. They have the tech support flexibility to categorize it by being the least important to completely fatal for production emergencies. From that perspective, we do get responses, and it varies from one hour to two hours.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is pretty much straightforward. The only complexity that I had was to add some security certification. The tools were set up in a separate drive, and that is where the complexity comes in. But it is something that can be handled completely.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
It is based on the stages and on a yearly basis.
What other advice do I have?
I would advise potential users to go for IQ Bot if they have a standard format for a particular PDF. Even if there are multiple types that are configurable and if the quality of the images is good, this is definitely much better than others. It does a commendable job.
On a scale from one to ten, I would give IQ Bot an eight.

Easy to use, good support, and works fine
Pros and Cons
- "We have been using it only for two months, and so far, it is working fine. It is easy to use."
- "It should be easier to install and configure. We had some issues during the initial setup, and we are resolving them with the help of their support. Its initial setup is complex. Their web pages are not really structured. Because they have multiple products that are more or less similar, it is sometimes hard to understand which documentation you're actually reading and using. Their documentation and web pages should be structured in a better way. In terms of new features, it is a little too early to provide inputs. I need more real business cases to see what is lacking. We haven't yet got those. We are currently testing it from a technical point of view."
What is our primary use case?
I am currently testing IQ Bot, and we are evaluating it from technical and business perspectives. We haven't yet put anything in production. We are looking into business cases, and we are also checking it out from the IT perspective in terms of how it works, what we can do with it, and so on. We are also working with the RPA part of Automation Anywhere.
We are using one version prior to the latest one. They seem to have released a newer version, and we will upgrade soon. It is deployed in our AWS environment. It is more or less on-premise, but it is still in the AWS space.
What is most valuable?
We have been using it only for two months, and so far, it is working fine. It is easy to use.
What needs improvement?

For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using this solution for the last two months.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
It is working fine so far.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
We haven't really scaled it up to see what will happen if we run a lot of documents. We haven't yet tested it for that.
For the RPA part, we have a lot of bots running in production, but we haven't really started using IQ Bot. Currently, two or three people from the IT side are testing this. We plan to increase its usage. I am working on the IT side, and there are a lot of business cases inside our organization that could benefit from this type of solution. We are trying to talk to different business units to see what type of business we can test out first.
How are customer service and technical support?
Their technical support is fine so far. They have been able to answer my questions in a fairly good time.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We were not utilizing these types of tools in the past. We had more or less outsourced the complete processing and handling of documents, invoicing, and so on.
How was the initial setup?
It wasn't really straightforward. We had some issues, and I had to open some support cases with Automation Anywhere. I am using their support to solve these issues, and we still have a few issues to solve.
Its setup is complex, and there is a lack of structured documentation. There should be an easier way to install and configure it.
What other advice do I have?
I would rate IQ Bot an eight out of ten.

Feature-rich, deals well with unstructured data, and the support is good
Pros and Cons
- "Our mainframe-based and web-based projects are working well, with no issues."
- "One of the challenges that we faced was that the Automation Anywhere log files were being created and not cleaned up, which would eventually kill the bot."
What is our primary use case?
My team uses IQ Bot primarily for unstructured data. Some of the use cases are related to capturing imagine-related data.
What is most valuable?
Our mainframe-based and web-based projects are working well, with no issues.
What needs improvement?
In one of the applications we were working on, we found challenges. Automation Anywhere enterprise 11 has troubles interacting with a Pega product that we are using. Consequently, there were projects that we were not able to complete.
One of the challenges that we faced was that the Automation Anywhere log files were being created and not cleaned up, which would eventually kill the bot. We began a practice where we cleaned out the log files on a daily basis, which improved the bot.
Automation Anywhere does not have support for all legacy systems. In the insurance industry, they mostly work with legacy systems and will not move to future technologies very soon because of the security measures, cost constraints, and other reasons. In these cases, we do not see improvements in terms of efficiency.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
For all of the projects that we have worked on so far, it is stable apart from slight challenges.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
There are only a few people in the company who use IQ Bot.
How are customer service and technical support?
Technical support is good, although there were not able to solve the problem that we had with the Pega application. Whenever there is an issue brought to them, they will call, discuss the details, and make suggestions for resolution.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We have only used Automation Anywhere product systems, as the choices are entirely client-driven.
How was the initial setup?
The deployment was easy for us but the control room is taken care of by the client. We need to approach them when we need to make changes. For example, they will move the code from client to server. We don't do that, as we have very limited access to the control room.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I feel that the price of IQ Bot could be lower. The licensing fees are paid on an annual basis.
What other advice do I have?
Overall, this is a good product and most of the features we require are included. Our only challenge was with the Pega application, and Automation Anywhere should interact better with it. More generally, it should interact better with hybrid applications.
I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

Flexible in terms of being able to read different fields in spite of minor format variations
Pros and Cons
- "The most valuable feature is the intelligence it has with the ability to read the customer sales order and convert it into our own, despite minor changes in format."
- "Better customization in terms of mapping would be an improvement."
What is our primary use case?
We are using IQ Bot for sales order automation.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature is the intelligence it has with the ability to read the customer sales order and convert it into our own, despite minor changes in format. It is able to intelligently decipher those changes and I think that it's quite useful.
What needs improvement?
I would like the intelligence to improve so that IQ Bot can handle vastly different formats of documents that we get from the customer, in terms of reading different fields. Having it even more intelligent would be very useful.
Better customization in terms of mapping would be an improvement.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have been using IQ Bot for a couple of months.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
We have only been using IQ Bot for a couple of months but so far, we have not had any problems in terms of stability. In time, we will see if it continues to be as stable as it is right now.
We are using this solution on a daily basis.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Scalability has not been a challenge for us. We have four users at this time.
How are customer service and technical support?
I would rate technical support as good. When we were stuck we got support.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We did not previously use another RPA solution.
How was the initial setup?
I would say that the initial setup is very complex and not easy.
The deployment took approximately three to four months.
What about the implementation team?
We had an integrator from Automation Anywhere to assist us with the deployment. Our experience was fantastic and we are very happy with them
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Pricing is highly confidential because it is something that can be negotiated. The licensing costs are on a yearly basis.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We evaluated UiPath but we chose Automation Anywhere and IQ Bot because of the advanced intelligence capability that was promised. This tipped the decision in their favor.
What other advice do I have?
My advice for anybody who is implementing this solution is to be very sure about how the data is going to be mapped from one business process to the other and how the whole process will work. The mapping is very, very important in order for IQ Bot to work perfectly.
I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
On-premises

Great at identifying and classifying our invoice statements
Pros and Cons
- "The ability to differentiate between documents is valuable."
- "Lacks sufficient flexibility in identifying a wider variety of documents."
What is our primary use case?
We use IQ Bot to extract information from our PDFs as well as for differentiating between them. I'm an RPA developer and we are customers of IQ Bot.
How has it helped my organization?
We're dealing with millions of invoice statements and IQ Bot can be super helpful in identifying those invoices and classifying them. It saves us a lot of time and money.
What is most valuable?
The ability to differentiate between documents is a valuable feature.
What needs improvement?
Lacks sufficient flexibility in identifying a wider variety of documents such as those that have different dimensions and quality. It would be helpful if even low-quality documents could be identified. They also need to work on the deployment of backups.
For how long have I used the solution?
I've been using this solution for around eight months.
How are customer service and support?
The automation team takes a while to work on any tickets and respond.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is moderate in terms of complexity.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
It's an expensive solution but we get good results and the benefits outweigh the cost.
What other advice do I have?
I expect we'll increase usage because it's a super useful tool for our business team and it has a lot of use cases. I rate this product eight out of 10.

Director intelligent automation at AMISEQ
Has the ability to train itself and is stable but needs improvement in handwritten data extraction
Pros and Cons
- "The ability to train itself is a good, valuable feature. It is one of the most stable RPA products at present. Installation is easy for IQ Bot, and they provide good technical support."
- "IQ Bot needs to scale up further because many other industry products that are capable of capturing handwritten information are doing much better. So, it would be better if IQ Bot spent more time on handwritten data extraction."
What is our primary use case?
We used it with a construction company that was doing manual time sheet entries that had to be given to HR by the end of the day. They would then translate the time sheet data into digital data to process payroll, attendance, and so on. So, we were tasked to get that particular time sheet and then use the IQ Bot solution to automate extraction of data and further processes.
What is most valuable?
The ability to train itself is a good, valuable feature. It is one of the most stable RPA products at present.
Installation is easy for IQ Bot, and they provide good technical support.
I'm also happy with the pricing.
What needs improvement?
IQ Bot needs to scale up further because many other industry products that are capable of capturing handwritten information are doing much better. So, it would be better if IQ Bot spent more time on handwritten data extraction.
Some of the features that are currently existing could certainly be enhanced. The ability to define the coordinates on the screen, on the documents that are being scanned, was a little less when we did the proof of concept. These kinds of features could be enhanced a little more. It looks a little rigid at this point in time, but it could be improved.
For how long have I used the solution?
I've been using it during the last 12 months.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
This is the most stable RPA product at the moment.
How are customer service and technical support?
Automation Anywhere's technical support has been very good.
How was the initial setup?
Implementation of IQ Bot was easy.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The licensing is on a yearly basis, and I am happy with the pricing.
What other advice do I have?
Compared to UiPath or Blue Prism, IQ Bot is the most stable RPA product at the moment. Automation Anywhere has come a long way.
If someone is straight away looking at IQ Bot as a potential solution, I would suggest that they do a proof of concept and see their ability to scale their particular process. Each and every process, business process, they bring will be different. So, it's good to start with the proof of concept and then scale according to the need.
On a scale from one to ten, I would rate IQ Bot at seven.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
Public Cloud

Easily scalable, very stable, and easy to set up
Pros and Cons
- "The way that the learning combines with the OCR is the solution's most valuable aspect."
- "It would be helpful if the solution was better at reading handwriting. It needs better handwriting recognition."
What is our primary use case?
Our clients use the solution to automate back-office processes such as credit requirements. They also may use it to review contracts and to process invoices.
What is most valuable?
The way that the learning combines with the OCR is the solution's most valuable aspect.
What needs improvement?
If they could improve the usability to train the models that process the farms, that would be helpful for our clients.
It would be helpful if the solution was better at reading handwriting. It needs better handwriting recognition.
For how long have I used the solution?
I've been using the solution for one year.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The solution is very stable. It works very well. We haven't had issues with bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash. It's reliable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
We've never had issues with scalability. It's been quite good. If a company needs to expand it it should be able to do so without too many issues.
Typically we sell the solution to large and medium-sized organizations.
How are customer service and technical support?
The technical support has been pretty good. We'd rate it nine out of ten. If they were a bit faster in their response, I'd give them perfect marks. However, that said, we're pretty satisfied with the level of service we're given.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is straightforward. It's not complex at all,
The installation is very quick due to the fact that it is a cloud solution. It takes one day to get ready. However, to finalize everything takes on average ten days.
What other advice do I have?
We're resellers. We offer this solution to many of our clients.
I would advise that new users try to get all kinds of forms from the beginning of the deployment. It will make things easier down the road.
I'd rate the solution nine out of ten. We've been pretty happy with the solution overall.
