|---|---|---|
| Team Lead at a government with 11-50 employees | 3.5 | I find the self-service reporting modules valuable, and customers like the reports' appearance. However, the price is too high and increasing, stability is only okay, and performance needs improvement, though second-line support is good. |
| Senior Manager of IT at a manufacturing company with 51-200 employees | 4.0 | No summary available |

| BI Expert at a media company with 51-200 employees | 5.0 | I found it offers rapid deployment and improved large data handling, especially with its cost-effective server licensing. However, its performance heavily relies on the back-end and requires good SQL writers. |
| VP Product at PeerSpot | 4.0 | No summary available |
| Senior Manager of IT at a manufacturing company with 51-200 employees | 5.0 | I find this product easy to use, quick to deploy, and low-maintenance, offering excellent TCO with great support. I'd only suggest adding a normalized curve for histograms. It's a must-have for understanding business processes simply. |
Reports for customers.
People really like the way the reports look, there are lots of fancy bells and whistles on the report designer.
The self-service reporting modules, so that customers can build their own reports.
It needs a much lower price. They are jacking up the price every year, which is wrong.
The stability is okay. It's not great, it's not bad.
We have used technical support and it's okay. Once you get to the second-line support, it's much better.
The most important criterion when selecting a vendor is reliability.
I would give this solution a seven out of 10. It does some good stuff, but there needs to be more performance.
Make sure that you have really good people working on the server administration, to make sure you're doing it right, the setup is right.

Rapid development/deployment of solutions
Latest versions cope much better with large data sets.
Low cost server based licencing attractive in high user count environments.
Performance dependant on back-end much more than some other toolsets
Large data sets a major issue until recently
Server based licencing great for a high potential user/low concurrency environment where user-based licencing prohibitive. Needs good SQL writers to get the best out of it.

In the February 2012 Magic Quadrant report, Gartner cautions that "LogiXML is in the cross hairs of competing low-cost alternatives from open-source vendors and Microsoft". Additionally, although they have recently received new funding, they still have more limited resources than other BI vendors.
Have you found that Logi's limited resources have effected the dependability of their product?
