Netlify Platform Reviews

My main use case for Netlify Platform would be to create a quick mockup, and then use that mockup as a base for further development by connecting to Git. When I create any new kind of mockup or a small demo product that I want to showcase to clients or any prospective party as a web app, I create it on Netlify Platform.

The primary project I actually showcased with one of the clients was about a chat using Netlify Platform. It's a real-time chat, almost WhatsApp but with a twist. It is not a personal chat; it's a social chat where anyone can see who is available right now. There I've integrated different types of technologies, whether it is a completely serverless database or real-time communication using WebSockets as well as very low latency response using the best practices for ReactJS coding. I did use support from AI tools, whether it is Claude or Gemini or Copilot, but most of the work was handled by me and how I configured Netlify Platform for that.

I have used Netlify Platform for more than 10 types of products that I have created as web apps. Some of them were heavily dependent on the browser. Some use TensorFlow to detect faces with the camera, so using a webcam, it detects faces. There are many products and different types of web apps that I have created. One is a dashboard, one has a kind of map, almost a gaming engine where you see a huge globe in the background and you can click on each of the globe points to see the details. Others are related to my portfolio that I showcase while applying for new jobs. I do have a lot of experience on Netlify Platform. At least 10 to 15 products are there which I control.

For me, the best feature that I see on Netlify Platform is the serverless functions. It is very simple. Previously, when you want to simulate a back-end API, you have to set up a separate service running continuously. Most of the time it might not be free. There are also other services that I've used like render.com where you can host all your API services there, but that has its own limitations. If you don't use it for one or two days, it gets scaled down. So again, if you want to use it, it needs to scale up again. That will take 5 to 10 minutes. Instead of that, you can implement Netlify functions. These are always instant. They don't have any downtime. Of course, you can always go to an upper tier subscription where you can have a higher VM allocated to you or higher RAM that you could use. Overall, this is the best part.

Then of course, the CI/CD, continuous integration and continuous development, and most importantly, you can control each and every product that you have. For example, I'm having 10 different GitHub repos, but that doesn't mean all of these changes need to trigger builds. I can control which repository can trigger a build. I don't want to exhaust my Netlify free tier usage. I have control of almost every part of the CI/CD pipeline. That's what I like the most.

The main impact that Netlify Platform had on me is how quickly I can deploy a solution. I can create a small demo to show how I could implement something. There would be many people coming to me with some requirements. A business analyst or a product owner can show up to me and say they want a certain kind of functionality on a page. I cannot just create a static web page. I need to make it dynamic. If I want to show them or share it with people, I need to have a unique URL which is already hosted. If I want to deploy my app or solution, it could be very simple, as simple as creating a scroller and the ability to edit an image within the browser and do markup on that. For all of that, Netlify Platform is the best. There are also other services, but I feel Netlify Platform has scaled up very well.

There could be a simple interface where I can turn on and off CI/CD in a single place on Netlify Platform. Right now I have to go to each and every instance that I'm using and get into the settings and turn on and off that auto-deployment mode or all of that becomes a little time-taking. Since I know the user interface, it's easy for me, but for newcomers, going into that granular level of control might be on the higher side. It will take a lot of time. If there could have a kind of dashboard where I can pause the CI/CD for each product or for each project instance, that will be better.

The free tier of Netlify Platform itself is enough for most of the users. If at all they want to do more, they could increase the free tier limit. Currently it's around 300 minutes per month. If they could increase it or set a daily limit, that will be better instead of setting a monthly limit. Most of the times I lose track of how much I have used this.

I've been using Netlify Platform for the past three to four years.

I haven't seen a single downtime for Netlify Platform. The only downtime would be something I don't even see any downtime even during deployment because till the new version gets deployed, the older version is still working. It doesn't show any 404 error or something. I haven't tested it continuously, but whenever I use it, it's always on. I never saw any 404 error or service or resource unavailable. It's completely, in my view, 100% stable and always available.

Netlify Platform is definitely scalable because there's one project I remember where the user can go to a metro site and they can actually buy a ticket. I mean it's a dummy ticket anyway. They can buy a ticket from their wallet. There will be a valid balance and they can buy there. I kept adding features one by one, adding a dummy wallet balance and also a kind of passbook functionality where they can see each and every transaction, when it was bought, and I added more and more fields to it and some new pages. I also added some authentication there and connected that to Google Firebase so that I can save all that data there. For example, if you want to add a new ticket, it will be persistent in the database. It doesn't get lost. All of that is part of my scalability activity that I did in Netlify Platform. Definitely it handled it very well. There are no issues regarding scalability.

I never had a chance to connect with the customer support of Netlify Platform because there was no issue basically. Everything is transparent from the page itself. Once I log in to Netlify, I see what's happening, how much is my quota, and how much is left. Moreover, it's all stable. So there's no need for me to go to their customer support.

Previously, I used render.com before Netlify Platform. The architecture is completely different. The way you use the product is different. It has everything on there. If you want to host a Python API, you can do it there. If you want to host just a static page, you can do it. Everything is on the page, on the dashboard itself, but I felt it's more cluttered there. Some of the limitations are very unacceptable. If you don't use that service for some time, not just some time, if you don't use it for one or two days, it automatically scales down. If you have created an API that gets a list of users or, for example, a list of employees in a company, after a certain time it scales down. Initially it might work fine, but after that it scales down and you have to wait for 5 to 10 minutes for that service to give you an output. Till then you have to keep showing a loader icon. That's definitely not a good experience. It has a larger scale than Netlify because it actually supports real APIs. Render supports anything that you want. But the problem is it has that limitation in the free tier and I don't want to unnecessarily pay for that because that's not my primary goal. My primary goal is to create the POCs.

The investment on Netlify Platform is definitely on the time side because I haven't invested any monetary part on this. I haven't bought any license for anything. I'm using the free version. That itself is enough to cut the time that I take to showcase some of the POCs that I have created.

I have tried some other options. I don't exactly remember the other products that I have used, but I definitely went through some of the others. I tried with AWS as well, because it has its own CI/CD pipeline kind of architecture. I did trial versions of AWS where I used Amplify service as well. I didn't feel it to be so comfortable because all are tied to my AWS account and I don't know when the consumption starts. On top of it, it always says it's free tier, but there are so many hidden components which start adding to your billing. I don't want that to happen. I want to keep it simple and straightforward. That's the reason I came to Netlify Platform.

One of the features that I used as a serverless function on Netlify Platform was the chat application that's called Anil Machine Chat. There, instead of using a separate back-end, I use a serverless function where you don't have a separate API layer. The database itself has a serverless function. It is just a function you call. For example, if you want to get some list of the most recent chats, there is a URL for that which says get chats or something. Again, if you want to post or add to that chat list, you have just slash post and give that. There is a very unique URL for each of those functions. You don't need to worry about hosting it and all the usage of it. It's all built in.

I would also to mention some of the important databases I've used is PostgreSQL online. I don't remember the exact name of that service, but it's completely serverless. You don't need to set up any VM or anything. You just keep that unique URL and client IDs and secrets and put that in the environment variables. That's very convenient for me. The service name is Supabase. That's the one I use. It has built-in functions. You don't need to specifically write an API to connect to that database. You can directly connect to the database using these serverless functions.

I would say use Netlify Platform for quick creation of POCs. Suppose I know a lot of people talk about AI and just generate it within the AI products. For example, Replit is in a different league completely. They are all completely using AI for their functionality, but they are in a different league. Basically, comparing apples with oranges here. But if you have an idea, you can use any tool you want. Once you connect to Git and then you connect the GitHub to Netlify Platform, it becomes much easier to manage your versions. You can undo whatever you want. You will have a proper structure from where you can develop more and more features. I would rate my overall experience with Netlify Platform as an 8 out of 10.

My main use case for Netlify Platform is that it is easy to deploy the website without changing the code and pushing it manually by myself. Whenever I make any changes to my portfolio website, for example, if I complete any new certification or anything which I need to add to my profile, I just change the code in my local desktop and push it back to GitHub. Through GitHub, Netlify Platform picks up the updated code and it reflects back the new changes, so that made it easy with Netlify Platform cloud environment.

I have a lot to add about my main use case and how I use Netlify Platform in my workflow because it is also easy for me to use multiple options over there. For example, I sometimes use Netlify Platform CLI and sometimes I do it myself on my local desktop and push it to GitHub, but there are pretty much options in Netlify Platform. There is also a lot of documentation present in the platform where I can refer to and make changes if I need to in some other or different ways.

The best features that Netlify Platform offers, which really make it shine for me, include its recent integration of AI into it, and that is one of the main features which I like. It also allows deploying a website with the new frameworks, the modern frameworks which are in the market right now.

I like that the AI integration in Netlify Platform auto builds based on the commands because it is easy to deploy a website with just a few commands at our fingertips. When it comes to the new modern frameworks, all the other platforms require extra configurations to get deployed into the DNS servers, but using Netlify Platform, it is easy; everything is handled by Netlify Platform in the backend, and the deployment process and all the CI/CD pipeline that Netlify Platform handles is something which is good in regard to the modern frameworks which are used nowadays.

Netlify Platform has positively impacted my organization and personal projects by making it easy for me to deploy my personal portfolio website without doing all the DevOps and CI/CD pipeline myself. Netlify Platform handled that, and I just need to do my code, push it to GitHub, my repo, and Netlify Platform picks it up from there and refreshes whatever the new code changes I have made, and that made it easy for me to use for my personal project.

For the improvements in Netlify Platform, I think it should focus on better marketing because competitors like Vercel and others are present in the market. While Netlify Platform looks clean, neat, and enhanced, it should do better marketing, as it is actually recommended by ChatGPT for small-sized projects. I believe it should also be suggested for larger projects and promoted more so that Netlify Platform is used by multiple people; it should be the go-to cloud environment.

I think the technical side of Netlify Platform can improve, especially in the documentation. They can add more information about new frameworks as they come into the platform or market. They should maintain a troubleshooting page on Netlify Platform docs that comprehensively shows all the steps. Adding more user-friendly animations or navigation would make the platform easier. Moreover, with the documentation, it currently shows all the tabs at one place, and the customer should understand what each use is without having to click into it. They should support more old frameworks as well, to increase the range of utilizations since mostly old frameworks are still in the market, prompting more users to migrate to Netlify Platform.

It has been about one year since I started using Netlify Platform, and I hosted my personal portfolio on Netlify Platform cloud, so I have been using it since one year.

I have not tested Netlify Platform with a large amount of traffic for larger projects, but I have tested it with my original website, which I hosted. I sent that link to multiple people, recruiters, and friends, and whoever used that or opened it never experienced any issue with the site, such as slow loading or rendering problems, so it seems good with scalability according to me.

I have not had to reach out to customer support from Netlify Platform because I have not encountered any issues. However, I see there are options for AI and customer service; before going to customer service, we can select the AI and get help most of the time, as everything is documented. There is not much need to contact customer support unless there is a problem with billing or some technical glitch, making it not a frequently needed option.

Before choosing Netlify Platform, I used GitHub Pages, PythonAnywhere domain, and AWS hosting, but I switched to Netlify Platform because it is easy to use; everything is in one place. I do not need to manually configure or upload files as I had to with the other websites, making my work easier, so I switched to Netlify Platform from the others.

I signed up for Netlify Platform directly and did not come across any of the cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

I think I have saved around two to three days by letting Netlify Platform handle all the DevOps and CI/CD work for my portfolio because understanding the configuration, uploading all the files, getting all the configuration right and deploying it to the DNS server takes me at least two days. It has made my workflow much easier, and I see a lot of benefits with that—it is easy to go, free to use, faster, and the UI is also user-friendly when we could find all the essential tabs and necessary things available right in the dashboard when we enter into the platform.

I have seen a return on investment with Netlify Platform; I have saved money by not spending on hosting my website on the internet using providers such as GoDaddy or some popular DNS hosting sites, which cost me hundreds per month. By using the free version provided on Netlify Platform, I save that amount, and I also save time because Netlify Platform handles the deployment processes and CI/CD by itself, so I do not need to manage it all.

I want to mention that the pricing for Netlify Platform is pretty much good. I basically started with a free trial, and there are different options available. The free version is pretty much good if we want to host a static website with a limited number of visitors, for example, a portfolio, and so coming to the pricing and UI part of the Netlify Platform dashboard, using the platform is easier for the users, and such kinds of things are pretty much good with Netlify Platform.

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is that currently I am using the free version, and there are different types available which I could say are good and affordable. The price is low compared to the functionalities given by the platform, and since my portfolio website is small with a limited number of users visiting it, the free version works well for me. Upgrading to personal or pro is also a good idea, and there is also a custom enterprise option for companies, which is good for larger needs, but on a short scale, free or personal would be better.

I evaluated other options such as AWS and Vercel before ultimately choosing Netlify Platform, as I felt it was a better choice because of the pricing and ease of use with the UI. The platform is stable in my opinion, which is why I chose to use Netlify Platform.

I advise others looking into using Netlify Platform to use it for sure because they can just work on their code, push it to GitHub, connect it with Netlify Platform cloud, and then relax. After that, whatever changes they make to their code on GitHub automatically reflects back on Netlify Platform and their website, eliminating the need for much work or worrying about the pipelines and processes that happen in the backend.

I am generally satisfied with Netlify Platform, as it is going well and helping a lot of people. I hope they keep improving and adding new AI enhancements alongside both new and old existing frameworks so that they are readily available for anyone to choose. This makes the backend processes easier for any developer who chooses Netlify Platform, and I appreciate the work being done at Netlify Platform. My overall rating for this platform is that I do not have a specific numerical rating to provide at this time.

I last used Netlify Platform in March 2022 for hosting web services on the platform.

My main use case was to create a full stack application for workforce management and banking services, using Netlify Platform as a third-party integration through GitHub to host these services to clients and customers. I was part of a team of ten software engineers building a full stack application for workforce management and banking services. The company was based in Detroit, Michigan, with operations for an African company based in Nigeria. We had to provide banking services to the customer base across all of Africa. We developed a full stack application providing banking services including credit and debit card functionality, online banking, and a separate application for growing and managing the workforce. All of this was developed using React JS on the front-end and Python on the back-end. We successfully connected GitHub third-party integration with Netlify Platform to host our services in Africa and successfully connected with clients and customers across all of Africa.

Netlify Platform offers various integration features where you can use multiple languages and change the environment. We were not connected to any cloud services, as this was managed through GitHub integration, which worked like a cloud. We paid a subscription on GitHub that was paid by the company to host our services. There were many features to connect with clients and customers, to host them, provide services, gather customer feedback, conduct customer calls, and update features and downtime information, with timelines for customer bases in the US and Africa. This was very helpful and Netlify Platform is a very good platform which should be recommended.

Netlify Platform was very feasible and we did not have to pay a very large sum of money to host our services. It was just a monthly subscription. This saved cost significantly. Deployment speed was improved, and GitHub was very efficient as it connected us to databases and different containers. This improved the hosting services and database management. The web application has been working efficiently since the launch of the company in Africa.

Netlify Platform could be improved if they hosted their independent services apart from GitHub. There are many cloud containers and services like AWS and Microsoft, and connecting with cloud services would make it more efficient. It could be a good efficient platform to host bigger and better services for clients with good spread across the UAE and other small regions in Asia. Cloud services should be connected to Netlify Platform. It is a hosting platform which provides services online and helps host web services. If cloud could be connected to Netlify Platform, which could help host a different web server with security, that would keep it from a perfect 10.

Netlify Platform is a very stable platform.

Netlify Platform scalability is very good. If I could give it a number, it would be nine out of ten. It is very efficient, very smooth, and very feasible. It helps you avoid any errors or bugs in the application, which helps you fix errors too, with automatic testing rather than manual testing. Netlify Platform is a very good platform.

Customer support is great. Customer support is connected through chatbot and email. For the African region, there would be chatbot and email support with a broad base in Africa that would respond. For the US, there would be a separate US application for US customer support.

I did not use any solution before Netlify Platform.

Setting up Netlify Platform was very efficient as it was feasible and the application was a huge success. It could really help many clients and customers in Africa.

I was part of a team of ten software engineers.

There was a huge return on investment. Regarding relevant metrics, we were not using metrics like Datadog, though I wish we had. There was a lot of money saved, as we were building the application from scratch and paying employees using our own technical skills to build the application. There was a lot of time saved as we built this application within a week or two. There were hardly ten software engineers working in our team with a CTO and CEO.

Netlify Platform was very feasible and we did not have to pay a very large sum of money to host our services. It was just a monthly subscription.

We did not evaluate any other option. This option was chosen by our CTO, and he was very confident that Netlify Platform could really help us host our web services.

Netlify Platform is a very good platform for someone who is not adopting a cloud platform like AWS or Microsoft. It is a good investment and return for a startup that is just starting out with no capital and trying to grow into a company from Series A to a public service. This is a good start to building an application from scratch and hosting it online. Small startups should take up Netlify Platform. I would rate this review an 8 out of 10.

My main use case for Netlify Platform is mostly for the deployment of websites and domain exchanges from Cloudflare or any host platform.

A quick, specific example of a project I've deployed using Netlify Platform is a recent project where the backend was deployed in an AWS instance and I had to add the subdomain for that particular website. I routed the DNS from Cloudflare and since I bought the domain from Namecheap, I routed the DNS and deployed in the same way through Netlify.

I use Netlify Platform mostly for my side projects and personal use, so I utilize it for deployment and related services.

The best features Netlify Platform offers, in my opinion, include the free tier that they provide for deployment and the analytics for a particular website. We can choose from a couple of deployed ones to see how they are performing, who is actually using the website, which geographic region they are from, and the threshold, among many other things.

Between the free deployment tier and the analytics, I mostly use the free deployment tier. I have deployed more than ten websites out of my free projects. I love that free deployment tier. Talking about the analytics, I just use it for a very specific use case, like for the recent project that I was very excited about, I just turned on the analytics for that one. After some days, I deployed another website and I just moved that analytics part around. I mostly use the free deployment tier.

Since I mostly use Netlify Platform for my personal projects, I don't have much insight about positive impacts on my organization regarding workflow, speed, or collaboration.

I have been observing Netlify Platform improving a lot, noticing a couple of new features every three to six months. However, I would love to see Netlify evolve as a cloud provider. While it also helps with backend deployment, it is not as scalable as AWS or Azure, and I would love to see and explore more features in the future around it.

I have been using Netlify Platform since my college time, and it has been two and a half years.

In my experience, Netlify Platform is stable; I have never noticed any downtime, and while we can expect minute downtime, the system is robust. I personally have never faced any downtime from Netlify.

Netlify Platform has handled my projects' scalability pretty well, as all of those are my personal projects. Although I don't think hundreds or thousands of users ever hit my API or website at a time, I have deployed multiple projects, and for my use case, I have never found any hindrance.

I have fortunately never needed customer support from Netlify. I have faced challenges during the initial stages of my deployment journey and with DNS routing, particularly with SSL certification, but resources like Stack Overflow and Google helped me out.

I previously used different solutions before Netlify, such as GitHub Pages, Vercel, Render, and Railway during my college days. The reason I switched to Netlify was for exploration, and I stuck with Netlify because of its good user experience and deployment steps.

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is pretty good. Since I use the free tier, there is no question about pricing or setup costs, but I believe that even in the future, if I go for paid setups, it will be pretty smooth.

Before choosing Netlify Platform, I evaluated other options, including Vercel, GitHub Pages, Render, and Railway; after exploring them, I found Netlify Platform to be a better option among others.

My advice to others looking into using Netlify Platform is that it has evolved a lot, offering many features to accomplish many things in Netlify itself. Instead of hopping around multiple providers or platforms, it is better to stick to one and do all necessary work. I noticed positive changes for myself using Netlify Platform mainly in terms of saving time and making deployments easier. I have been using it since three and a half years from my college era when Netlify just came into the picture. My main reason for preference over competitors like GitHub Pages and Vercel is its seamless integration with GitHub, where I can deploy directly from my development IDE using CLI commands, making it more efficient without having to manually link things. Even though Vercel offers similar features, I personally prefer Netlify.

I would rate Netlify Platform an eight overall. The reason I chose eight is that, for my personal use, it is fantastic and works as I want. However, I cut two marks due to possible improvements. For instance, Vercel has some unique integrations that I find appealing, such as their streamlined deployment process using Next.js. It would be great if Netlify could explore similar integration opportunities, especially with AI capabilities.

I used Netlify Platform for deploying my front-end applications, primarily React applications that I built for various firms and clients. My main use case involved deployment of these applications.

One of my biggest projects involved designing a news feed application for a client, and I deployed the front-end onto Netlify Platform. That project is still running and is earning my client a significant amount of revenue.

I have deployed three to four projects with Netlify Platform, but this was one of the major ones because I faced many challenges. I worked through all of them and successfully deployed the application.

The major valuable feature that Netlify Platform offers is the developer experience, which is very smooth. I could straightforwardly work on my front-end application logic and deploy it without difficulty.

Another major advantage is the edge functions that Netlify Platform provides. At that time I was using Deno, which was relatively new, and Netlify Platform provided edge functions for it, which helped me leverage the CDN capabilities. These two features are the major ones for me: the first is developer experience and ease of deployment, and the second is the serverless and edge functions, which helped me use the CDN capabilities.

When I talk about developer experience with Netlify Platform, it is really very easy. I can write the logic or if I am shipping a feature, I can push it to a branch and get a live review for local testing. The front-end teams doing code reviews also benefit significantly. I could give it to the testing team and once that is complete, we could very efficiently upgrade it to production with the preview changes we developed for the feature.

Regarding edge functions, they were very helpful for A/B testing. I could implement or roll out certain features for a specific number of users, and based on their analytics, I could use the A/B testing capabilities. The CDN also helped significantly, as CDN cache invalidations and related tasks are abstracted and taken care of behind the scenes.

When we shipped our front-end application with Netlify Platform, the process was very smooth. Since features could be shipped without much hassle and without thinking about how the architectures would work or how the infrastructure would be laid down, this smooth process was beneficial. Netlify Platform's CDN is very helpful, and our client's website could reach multiple geographical locations, which definitely helped their business.

I do not remember the actual metrics because it has been two years, but I would definitely say that Netlify Platform really helped us save time in feature delivery. The deliverables were quick, feature delivery was fast, CI changes and deployments were very quick, and we could easily deploy and test our features and roll them out to our end users. I do not have the numbers since I used it three years back, but I would say that it really helped us with very efficient and faster feature deliveries.

One thing I could recall from three years back is that I am not sure whether Netlify Platform has worked upon the infrastructure to get the build process faster, but I believe the build time was slower at that time compared to the deployment patterns and platforms I am using currently. I believe since it has been three years, they have definitely improved their infrastructure.

Regarding cold start, there was a problem at that time. The cold start latency of Netlify functions was somewhat lacking based on my experience. At that time, these two things—build time and cold start times—were areas for improvement when I initially used Netlify Platform three years back.

I believe Netlify Platform is doing a great job overall. Just one or two points, as I mentioned, about making build times faster and reducing the cold start times for their Netlify functions would be helpful improvements.

I have been working in my current field for around six years.

The setup was not done by me since I am an engineer; it was done by the higher officials who were there, such as the tech leads. I am not sure about the pricing and setup cost. Since I have also used it personally, I would say the free tier which Netlify Platform provides is a generous tier to host applications. Regarding licensing and setup cost, I am not very sure, but I am confident in that direction.

Previously, since it was in my organization, it was the first time we used Netlify Platform. My personal choice has since switched, and my current choice is Vercel. If I get the requirement, I will definitely use Netlify Platform again, but since Vercel nowadays is very famous and provides many capabilities, I have been using it.

Using Netlify Platform would improve your developer experience and provide certain advantages, such as using the CDN without thinking about cache invalidations. I would recommend going for it. I would rate this review seven out of ten.

I use Netlify Platform for hosting projects where I will be uploading projects into a Git repository. Then from that, I will be signing up with GitHub in Netlify. Then I will be hosting the repository link over there. So I'll be hosting and getting a link that I will be adding to my resume. Later, I have worked as a freelancer, so it became helpful that I need not pay anything for the hosting plan. I can connect a domain easily with a DNS server.

Not only from a professional side, but for maintaining GitHub and for hackathon projects, it helped me more. Let me take a case where I will be participating in a 24-hour hackathon or a 12-hour hackathon which is a time-constrained one. We will be developing projects overnight. So we'll have less time, one hour or two hours, where it will be more helpful and low cost. The low cost is the main thing. Just by pushing a GitHub repository and signing in, we will be able to deploy easier. Whether we can call it just a two to three clicks deployment, that's the specific.

Absolutely, my everything was saved. Money was saved and time saved. No fewer employees needed. Just one-on-one work. I will develop, and if in case my friends help, that's okay, but they will be helping in code and I'll be pushing it to Git and just host it. That's it. It is totally a time saving thing.

Actually, a member named Manohar asked me something like what can I do after doing a project. I informed him that you should be hosting it through Netlify Platform by just pushing a Git repository. Even I have a screenshot to give proof of that. I have also promoted Netlify Platform in many ways. Like I'm a GDB web and full stack head in college. I have mentioned Netlify Platform to use for hosting around 30 people. So for 30 students, I have mentioned Netlify Platform to use and post it in Netlify Platform.

The best features that Netlify Platform offers, in my opinion, are the built-in serverless functions that we can able to run back-end code without managing servers. These are useful for forms, APIs, and authentication. Also, faster performance uses CDN to deliver content quickly. It is also optimized for static and Jamstack sites.

It offers faster displaying of our website. So it is more helpful for an organization.

Netlify Platform can be improved by Edge Functions, new and powerful ones useful for personalization, authentication, or redirects. Make the app super fast globally. To run long tasks like sending emails and reports, you could include something like email plans. For example, not like a business email, but for an email something like emailjs and SMTP servers are plugins. Like adding a different type of plugin or extension, like a built-in function where you have to provide credentials, then by just filling a form by a user, you will be getting a mail. Another idea is that GoDaddy, Netlify, and Namecheap are providing domains. If Netlify Platform has its own domain provider, it will be more good.

Currently, there is a limited compared to full backend platforms. Serverless function has execution limits. So the improvement must be a powerful back-end support like APIs and databases. A complete better experience would be comparable with Firebase or AWS. Netlify does not provide its own database. So developers must use external services to add a native database like Firebase or Firestore, which simply full-stack development. Instead of a database from other sites or other platforms, Netlify can have its own database where the user can use it like Firebase or something like Firestore. For better pricing and scaling, the free tier is good, but cost increases quickly, which needs more flexible pricing for growing apps.

I have been using Netlify Platform for about six months.

I think it can handle a traffic of about 100 or 200. I don't know about it correctly. From my project, the traffic around will be 100 or 200, that's it. I don't know about it exactly.

Netlify Platform is a reliable platform. It is a stable thing. I have hosted around 10 plus projects in that. Four projects will be for a client. And it is completely good.

I haven't reached any customer support till now. A troubleshoot should be made before that. I have faced no trouble with Netlify Platform, so I didn't contact customer support.

Before Netlify Platform, I have used Vercel over there. Actually, Vercel and Render are platforms I have used. For complex codes, I'll be using Render. For just a UI, I mean a front end, I will be using Netlify Platform. Before Netlify Platform, I have used Vercel, because the only thing I did not know about the use case of Netlify Platform. So later I was able to know about Netlify Platform and switch to it.

I haven't paid anything for Netlify Platform pricing or any setup cost involved in it. It is completely free. I have used only free plans right now. For dealing with the license, I have used SSL certificates where I will be getting it from Cloudflare. So I'll be giving the DNS codes to Cloudflare. From that Cloudflare, you will be getting SSL certificates. That's how I get a license.

My main use case for Netlify Platform is deploying front-end and back-end applications, particularly when I need a custom domain. For example, if I have a React application that I want to deploy and make available to the world, Netlify Platform is an excellent option.

For deploying with Netlify Platform, I generally use GCP, which is Google Cloud. However, I am indifferent to the choice because since I use the free tier, AWS, GCP, and Azure all provide free tier options, which is excellent. I have not experienced any issues so far.

The best features Netlify Platform offers include a comprehensive range of template deployments for different technology stacks, whether Python back-end, React, or Vue.js. Netlify Platform automatically compiles my code when I select a GitHub branch and specify the stack, detects the most suitable stack type, creates a build, and deploys it in the optimal manner. Additionally, using a set of environment variables to inject them in real-time is highly valuable.

Regarding the automatic stack detection on Netlify Platform, this feature saves considerable time because the standard process for deploying web applications typically involves creating an application, writing comprehensive build scripts, specifying the build configuration, and providing proper NGINX configuration. With automatic stack detection, Netlify Platform automatically configures the necessary scripts, deployment scripts, or configurations required, which I find remarkable.

Netlify Platform has positively impacted both my organization and personal projects. Previously, I deployed my applications using GitHub Pages, which only served static web pages. Now I can implement server-side rendering or create dynamic web pages, and if I want a custom domain while remaining under netlify.com, Netlify Platform is excellent for that purpose. This has been very beneficial for me.

Netlify Platform is excellent overall. One minor improvement I would appreciate is the AI feature they introduced, which appears very promising. I have not tested it yet, but I am looking forward to exploring it.

Regarding improvements for Netlify Platform, the free tier is excellent, and the pricing seems appropriate. The pricing could potentially be reduced slightly, but I have not had the requirement to purchase an application because I did not need a custom domain. I am satisfied with my current options. Regarding the overall application, I have nothing significant to add because the observability features are present, allowing me to quickly review performance, and their different plans are suitable for my needs.

I have been using Netlify Platform for almost two to two and a half years, and I use it for deploying my personal applications.

Netlify Platform is generally stable, and I have not experienced significant downtime or issues. There was a time approximately one and a half to two years ago when the back-end VMs experienced some downtime, but it was not a major issue and was resolved quickly.

Netlify Platform's customer support is excellent. I once emailed them regarding a task, and they responded quickly during their regular office hours. I would characterize their support as very good.

Previously, I deployed my applications using standard static VMs. For static applications, I preferred GitHub Pages, and for non-static applications, I used either AWS EC2 instances or GCP VMs or cloud runs. However, sometimes there is an issue when clients do not have the budget and cannot onboard us on Netlify, as we need to get the pro version to add any team member, which requires us to obtain the credentials of the client for configuring or deploying their projects on Netlify. This is a pain point we have consistently experienced with respect to pricing.

The outcomes we see with Netlify Platform include an easy deployment process. With respect to pricing, we have compared it with other platforms and found it to be lower in cost compared to Vercel, which charges more, so we recommend Netlify to clients.

Currently, I do not have improvements to share, as the free tier allows us 100 forms, which we find usable. We recommend clients who have fewer than 100 email inbound leads to use the free version of Netlify. If I find any relevant way to communicate potential improvements in the future, I will surely provide that feedback.

Regarding needed improvements, I remember a use case where there was an issue with our client related to Next.js configuration. Previously, there were compatibility issues. However, after some time, we have seen improvements, as Netlify now shows vast compatibility with the latest Next.js version. I can confirm that when we reached out to Netlify support, they responded on a daily basis, allowing us to resolve the problem with their suggestions.

Our team found it very easy to get started with Netlify Platform, as we have not faced any complexity during onboarding or required technical expertise. Netlify documentation is simplified, and relevant documentation is readily available.

Regarding pricing, setup cost, and licensing, our clients purchase the subscription, and we ourselves have not purchased much or only the minimal first tier pricing, finding it affordable as our clients proceed with Netlify. Netlify Platform has given us quick turnaround to our queries, and because of their suggestions, we resolved one major issue occurring with some of the Next.js versions, specifically version 15.

Netlify Platform handles updates or new releases efficiently, although I do not have specific examples to share regarding issues or positive experiences at the moment.

I would rate the performance and speed of Netlify Platform for our deployments as eight out of ten.

While there is always room for improvement regarding performance optimization and speed on any platform, I currently cannot communicate any specific issues we have seen in the past year.

My advice to others looking into using Netlify Platform would be to consider the low pricing and free tier. If they need forms in a specific range such as 50 or 100 a month, I would recommend them to use Netlify.

Netlify Platform's security features are satisfactory, as we have not seen any recent breaches, particularly noticeable when compared to breaches on other platforms such as Cloudflare. We have not faced any security breaches for any of our clients. My overall rating for Netlify Platform is eight out of ten.

I have been using Netlify Platform since three years to host my websites, mainly React-based websites. Netlify Platform is very easy to use.

I primarily use Netlify Platform for hosting my personal projects, which are front-end projects. The projects I deployed include a real-time code platform and real-time social media websites. I deployed those React projects onto Netlify Platform.

I have been using it to deploy front-end websites only. I have also hosted serverless functions a few times, but mostly it is based on front-end React.

The best features are the ease with which you can deploy your website and the fact that you get a URL instantaneously. You can deploy your front-end and get the URL with just a few clicks.

The Git integration feature is excellent because I primarily deploy my projects on GitHub and Netlify instantly creates a CI/CD pipeline with GitHub. Whenever I push new code, it automatically deploys that code onto its platform and I am able to see my deployed version instantly. Git integration is a great feature and I can also see versioning, which is very important. Although I have not used instant rollback, different branches allow me to instantly review code and merge it to my main branch, which is a great feature.

Netlify Platform has significantly saved my time while deploying front-end applications. Whenever I redeploy anything, I need to constantly change my code on GitHub and it instantly redeploys everything to the cloud and I can see my code visually live whenever I push new code. This has greatly impacted me positively.

I could save five to six hours per week. Per day, I save approximately one hour using Netlify Platform.

I wish Netlify Platform had given me more options to deploy other platforms, other things that Netlify Platform does not currently support, such as Node.js applications or Java-based back-end applications or real-time applications. It would be great if it had included databases as well.

Support and documentation are up to par, but regarding pricing, Netlify Platform could include student-based pricing, which would be easier for hobby projects and developer-based pricing for those not looking for business upgrades, just for hobby projects.

Netlify Platform is stable ninety-five percent of the time. It does not sleep if the server is not used, unlike Vercel. If you are not using the instance on Vercel, it goes to sleep, but Netlify Platform was better. It does not sleep.

Netlify Platform can handle big projects and the scalability options provided are good across different tiers to improve it. It gives options to scale horizontally and vertically both, so I think it is good.

The customer support on Netlify Platform is excellent. Whenever I require any assistance or have questions about how to use Netlify Platform, I receive a reply instantly and their support is ten out of ten.

Previously, I used on-premise solutions that Netlify Platform does not currently support, such as AWS EC2 instances and other platforms in which I had to manually set up everything. Netlify Platform gave me the option to do it on the fly without much hassle.

I have tried Vercel, which is also a good competitor to Netlify Platform, and it was the main competitor I tried to understand. However, the pricing model of Vercel was slightly expensive for my needs, so it was out of my budget. The feature set which Netlify Platform provided was exactly what I needed.

My advice would be that if you are looking for a platform which gives you an ease of deployment and is easy to access and maintain your application at a scalability level and you require good customer support, Netlify Platform is the platform you should choose as it provides customer support, scalability and ease of deployment. I give this platform a rating of eight out of ten.

My main use case for Netlify Platform is deploying my local website to a hosted platform where I can share the link with multiple people so that they can easily access and use that particular website, which can be built in any language, irrespective of the language being used.

Regarding the impact of Netlify Platform, I have seen that deployment is quite easy, reducing our manpower from six people to two. It has made deployments, which were very hard before, very easy and convenient now. The error logging that previously was not easily accessible for normal users is now quite easy, making it simple to know what changes are made.

The best features Netlify Platform offers in my experience include fast deployment, error logging, and easy deployment context and flow. I am very interested in the deployment process.

Netlify Platform features include a very convenient user interface for beginners as well as intermediate or advanced users. The overall flow and plugins are very easy to use. I have used multiple plugins within it, and they are quite easy to use, such as adding environment variables, adding secrets, and adjusting the size of the hosted application, which means the memory, CPU, and virtual CPU memory are very convenient for me to manage.

Netlify Platform can improve by collaborating with different repository management platforms, which would make holding the CI/CD pipeline much easier. While it has integration with some platforms, a few are left out, such as Bitbucket, which Netlify has not done yet. If this were done correctly, it could be a very easily achievable thing for one person.

The pricing of Netlify Platform is acceptable for beginners but can become costly for intermediate users, as it can be high when CPU usage goes beyond a certain amount. While it is good, it could be reduced a little for companies spending this much on platforms that are not in production yet, though it is acceptable when in production.
