| Manager at a government with 501-1,000 employees | 3.0 | I've used NetScaler Secure Web Gateway for 15 years, finding it stable for remote access. However, for my small team, it's hard to manage, requiring easier upgrades and better support. I rate this reasonable product a 6/10. |
| Global Solution Architect at ATOS | 4.0 | I find NetScaler Secure Web Gateway stable and scalable for client implementation. I'd appreciate improved pricing and more detailed monitoring/dashboards for troubleshooting. Overall, I rate it eight out of ten. |
| Enterprise Architect at Wipro Limited | 4.0 | I've used NetScaler Gateway for ten years; it's stable, scalable, and secure. I recommend it, rating it 8/10. My main concerns are the high price, complex setup, and desire for better user experience reporting. |
Our primary use case is for when our employees are working remotely, this gives them access to our custom-built application.
In terms of improvement, it should be easier to manage. We have a small team and don't have much expertise, we need things that are easy to manage.
I have been using NetScaler Secure Web Gateway for fifteen years.
It is absolutely stable.
We haven't had any problems with scalability for the use cases we've got. There are around twenty users of this solution in my company. We don't have plans to increase usage. Now that everybody is working from home, everyone has their own laptop so coming through remotely is easy. All we have to do it set up the remote environment which is why we set up terminal servers. Everyone seems to work pretty well.
We also use a terminal server which is less easy to manage.
We don't contact their support fairly often. It just works.
The licensing costs are on an annual basis.
I would rate it a six out of ten.
It's a reasonable product, it's one that you should consider.
Support is the main thing. We need more help when moving to a new version because we don't have the expertise. It would be better if the testing and installation were more automated.
We primarily use this solution for virtual desktop integration.
The pricing of this solution can really be improved.
Improvements could be made to the dashboards.
I would like to see more monitoring, and there could always be deeper information to find out where issues are. This would speed up troubleshooting problems.
Having access to test-systems would help people to learn the product. It also helps us to try things in a test-environment ahead of implementing it for the customer. Issues stemming from updates can be avoided this way.
We have been using NetScaler Secure Web Gateway for about two years. We implement this solution for other companies, but we do not use it ourselves.
From my point of view, this solution is stable and we haven't had any real issues.
Some of our customers have as many as 30,000 people using this solution.
The Citrix technical support is sufficient.
My advice for anybody who is implementing this solution is to find a Citrix specialist to assist. Also, have a good contract to avoid problems.
I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

We are a service provider and we use NetScaler Secure Web Gateway in different solutions that we provide to our customers, as well as within our own organization.
We use NetScaler Gateway for the users who are connecting from external links like site-to-site VPN. People access this as a reverse proxy.
We use this solution on-premises, although six or seven customers of ours will be deploying on the cloud.
NetScaler provides a secure gateway for our clients to access their virtual desktops.
The most valuable feature of this solution is dual authentication, which is good from a security perspective.
It can be used as a reverse proxy.
The price of this solution is a little bit high and can be improved.
It would be helpful if this solution would collect information about people who are connecting from external devices so that we can rate their user experience in using the virtual desktops. If there are problems on the network, like MPLS links, we should be able to identify that there's a problem. This kind of reporting would provide valuable insights.
We have been using this solution for at least ten years.
This is a very stable product.
This is a scalable solution.
In our company, we have approximately twenty thousand users. On our platform, altogether, we have approximately four hundred thousand people.
The technical support for this product is good.
We did not use another solution prior to NetScaler.
The initial setup is complex.
Initially, there are a lot of firewall ports have to be opened. This solution has a lot of features and in terms of maintenance, it is difficult to get resources because people need to know a lot from the technology perspective. They need to understand networking concepts as well.
We deploy this solution for our customers.
This length of time required for deployment depends on the requirements. We normally deploy in about one week's time. There are some dependencies in opening the firewall for a customer and depending on how complex they are, this might take one month. In other cases, we can do it in less than one day.
We have between fifty and sixty people to perform maintenance, although that is for multiple sites in multiple regions.
Normally we buy perpetual licenses and then the annual maintenance costs are paid yearly, or once every three years. Our annual fees are approximately $80,000 USD.
As the solution is now, we are able to satisfy all of our requirements.
This is a secure product, it is scalable, and the stability is very good. I'm not seeing any downtime. I recommend that people use it.
I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.
