Easy to use, easy to configure, and the hardware is robust
Pros and Cons
- "Security is one of the most valuable features that I like. It is easy to use and easy to configure."
- "Support is very important because if we get good support, we'll be able to sell and supply more numbers."
What is most valuable?
Security is one of the most valuable features that I like. It is easy to use and easy to configure. The hardware is robust.
What needs improvement?
Support is very important because if we get good support, we'll be able to sell and supply more numbers.
Sophos and Cisco they have very good support, that's why they're able to sell large numbers as compared to Radware.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have been using AppWall for the last five to six years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
It is stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
We haven't tried to scale up yet.
How are customer service and technical support?
To some extent, we are satisfied with the technical support but it can be better- it can be much better.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is easy, it's not difficult. It can take a few hours.
What other advice do I have?
I would definitely recommend Radware. It is a stable product.
We are looking for SMB solutions that are cheaper and more economical. We could acquire a smaller number of clients that way. So SMB products that have good features on the firewall, speed, and security would be important. Radware is a very good company and I think it can easily beat other competitors like Sophos if they have good products in SMB range also. For enterprise, they already have two products.
I would rate it an eight out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
On-premises

We're a vendor that sells solutions to customers. We're using all the AppWall products of Radware including the AppWall Cloud. Typically we deal with the on-premises and hybrid deployment models. We do testing for our customers and sell the solution, but don't use the solution in our company ourselves.
If customers are looking for a WAF solution, they need to look at the Radware WAF to be able to protect them. Radware also offers a hybrid technology so that users can don on-prem and cloud deployments.
I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.

Enables consistent security, single sign-on, but automation features need work
What is our primary use case?
A Radware Alteon load balancer is a hardware device that acts as a reverse proxy and distributes network or application traffic across a number of servers. Load balancers are used to increase capacity (high-availability) and reliability of application. Load balancers ensure reliability and availability by monitoring the health of applications, and only sending requests to servers and applications that can respond in a timely manner. They improve the overall performance of applications by maintaining application and network sessions, as well as by performing application-specific tasks.
Load balancers are generally grouped into two categories: layer 4 and layer 7. Layer 4 load balancers act on data found in the network and transport layer protocols like TCP/IP, FTP, and UDP. Layer7 load balancers distribute requests based on data found in application layer protocols like HTTPS, HTTP.
Requests are received by both types of load balancers and they are distributed to a particular server based on a configuration algorithm.
How has it helped my organization?
- Eliminates complexity
- Reduces deployment time
- Increases efficiency
- Improves performance
- Enhances productivity
