What is our primary use case?
TIBCO Scribe is used to do some out-of-the-box integration with some packaged products. TIBCO Scribe is a cloud solution that has a lot of connectors, like REST connectors and database connectors to other available products like Dropbox. It has a cloud deployment.
TIBCO Scribe is suitable for smaller customers who don't have a very big setup but need smaller applications. Since they don't want to maintain it, it has to be on the cloud.
You have adaptors for various integration products. TIBCO Scribe comes with its own set of connectors. If it has a connector, you can connect it using that connector to various external services. You can pull or push data from those external systems and bring it into your system, do whatever processing you want, and call some inbound or outbound system. Whatever data you want to massage, you can do that, and then you can put that through.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature of TIBCO Scribe is the connectors available to various products. The solution has standard looping and processing. TIBCO Scribe has good reliability and performance.
What needs improvement?
The solution should provide better documentation and scenario-based samples.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using TIBCO Scribe for two years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
TIBCO Scribe is made for smaller business projects and smaller clients. You will face some challenges with bigger integrations with a lot of business logic. The size of the business logic should not be too high.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Scalability-wise, it comes with limited scalability out of the box because it has platform-based scalability. If certain clients need more scalability, they need to request for it, and then separate endpoints have to be provisioned for them.
How are customer service and support?
The solution’s technical support is good.
How was the initial setup?
The solution’s initial setup is straightforward.
What other advice do I have?
Smaller customers who want to integrate with other systems don't need too much in-house expertise in terms of technology. They can hire consultants who can implement this solution for them, and they don't have to maintain any infrastructure. For a smaller setup, it is a go-to integration system wherein they don't need a lot of expertise or infrastructure.
The solution's UI is pretty intuitive and easy. It is good for smaller integration use cases. I think it would be a problem for bigger use cases.
Overall, I rate TIBCO Scribe a six out of ten.
