Trend Micro Deep Security Reviews

The primary use case is its antivirus and anti-malware capabilities.

We mostly integrate it with the EC2 instances.

Their support is good. They are responsive, which is nice.

I know that they are working on it, but their automation needs improvement.

I would also like to see more containerization stuff, specifically Docker.

It has been stable so far. We don't put a lot stress on it.

It scales very well. We have around 2,000 instances running.

Their technical support is great.

The integration and configuration of Trend Micro in our AWS environment seemed pretty seamless.

Take it for a spin. Ask their support for a demo. The product is really solid.

We previously used the on-premise version. Now, we are using it on a SaaS environment (AWS). 

We use Trend Micro Deep Security for security protection.

The performance is good. It is better than FireEye Email Security.

I would like to see a retroactive alert. If it had the capability of generating retroactive alerts it would be helpful.

While it is stable, it has room to improve.

It is being used for our servers. It has many features such as firewall, IPS, anti-malware, and antivirus.

It provides security and protection. The endpoint firewall is valuable.

Their support should be improved. We need support in the UAE, but it is always going to some other country or region, and the time schedule is not suitable for us. 

I have been using Trend Micro Deep Security for six years, but I have started to use Trend Micro Apex One recently.

Its stability is good.

Scaling is possible. We're scaling up. We have about 40 servers.

It is easy. It takes about two hours.

I used it in my previous company, and it was basically used for security levels. My company was into the implementation of projects, and we used to implement security solutions. Along with Trend Micro, we used to implement these devices. We had several customers of this solution.

The traceback feature in XDR is amazing. You can trace back an attack. You can playback where an attack actually occurred and see how the attacker moved. We can easily show this to management, and it makes it easy to make them understand and convince them, which is the best thing.

There should be more tools to trace back. Some sort of module needs to be included to attach all the things. 

It should be more stable, and the traceback feature should be improved. There were cases when we got virtual analyzer or CMC errors. We got false-positive malware notifications, but we couldn't trace them. I raised a case with Trend Micro two or three times, but they couldn't resolve it. Their support should be improved in terms of technical abilities to troubleshoot complex issues. They should be more knowledgeable.

I have been using this solution for the past three years.

It is stable in a way, but you get false-positive malware notifications.

Their support can be improved. For our case related to the virtual analyzer or CMC error, they couldn't trace back the issue. We were frequently getting notifications on that server, which were false-positive. They couldn't say why this is happening, and what is making this client trigger these errors. They couldn't advise on that. They should be more knowledgeable.

Its initial setup is straightforward. Deployment duration depends on the environment. Sometimes, we needed to deploy two or three devices, and we had to consult Trend Micro. Their best practices are also there.

We had a technical team of four engineers, including me.

I would recommend this solution, but it has scope for improvement. 

I would rate Trend Micro Deep Security an eight out of ten.

There are compliance issues of legacy applications and after applying OS security patches. The product's HIPS (Host Intrusion Prevention System) modules do the job for you automatically, without any downtime.

Reports. The default reports provided don't provide much insight.

I would rate tech support in the range of six to eight out of 10. Time to provide solution could be improved.

There is no competition for this product, as no other product provides HIPS, host-firewall, and anti-malware together.

Very straightforward and very easy to implement.

Deep Security SaaS provides security for cloud-hosted servers for only INR 1 RS/hour/server.

I would rate this product at nine out of 10. There is always a chance that it can be improved.

Go for it without any hesitation.

Trend Micro Deep Security is a complete solution and all the threat management has been taken care of.

I have been using Trend Micro Deep Security for two years.

I have not used technical support.

The price of Trend Micro Deep Security could be less expensive.

My advice to others is they can use Trend Micro Deep Security for their server-side instead of choosing Azure Firewall or AWS Firewall, which is a lot costlier when compared with the others. All threat management is taken care of, such as DDoS protection, and ransomware attacks.

An additional feature that should be included in the next release is the ability to scan more document types.

The customer service/technical support for this solution is very fast.

The setup is fairly complex. The deployment took around two months.

The solution is considerably cheaper than other similar solutions.

Working mostly with the virtual security data center (the server security platform) feature has been crucial in day-to-day businesses of the company because we're in data center services.

It's enabled us to protect our enterprise applications and data from breaches and business disruptions without emergency patching.

Not only do these benefits reduce both capital and operational expenditures, but they also provide resource agility that promotes business innovation and growth.

They need to improve their perimeter detection and tenancy.

We haven't had any issues with deployment.

We've had no issues with stability.

We've had no issues with scalability.

The setup is easy, as is the configuration.

With the changing tech world, with competitors not sleeping as time is money, simplified management is very crucial to my business.
