I would like to have an interface that can manage both on-premises and cloud solutions from a single console, where we can easily manage the resources that are being used or at least applications. Whereby clicking here and there from on-premises to cloud, or cloud to on-premises, depending on the requirements. If that can be accomplished, it will be extremely beneficial.

The initial setup is straightforward. We are experienced with this solution. We have multiple data centers.

On the KVM side, we really don't have anything. There we have a gap. It's a very small deployment on the KVM side, however, it would be ideal if we were able to properly use all the resources and get the full performance of the platform.

There can be compatibility issues. We need to keep track of different versions of the software. For example, we're still on E6 I6 6.5. In some cases, we can't upgrade to Red Hat 8 yet, for compatibility reasons. Every time we do, we have to be applying HPE firmware and stuff. Sometimes we run into complications and we have to stage everything in the lab just to make sure all the versions are compatible. There's this forward and backward compatibility of different software you need to constantly be aware of.

The solution is mostly stable, so long as there aren't compatibility issues between different pieces of software. Mostly, it's reliable.
Typically, I don't deal with technical support issues. I'm not in that area. That said, it's my understanding that we have gotten a pretty good, deep analysis of the issues at hand when we have had tickets open in the past. My team seems satisfied with the level of support given to them.

We are a healthcare establishment. The main essence here is the 24X7X365 availability. This was possible due to virtualization. The best-suited candidate for the virtualization was VMware as the technical resources are easily available in the market. The Virtualization standards offered by VMware are defacto industry norms. This enabled us to have better resiliency and dynamic fail-over cluster for our application server and the databases. Using the virtualizes such as VMware, we achieved HPE SimpliVity Snapshot performance due to the capabilities of vCenter deployment.
The open, flexible architecture has brought in the agile computing environment along with better Dr capabilities. Automation management and operational tasks across VMware and third-party applications, like our HMIS and other business productivity applications, have delivered peace of mind. Automation is the KPI of any IT Lead organization. The healthcare industry is no exception to this. We were able to automate the business logic for provisioning, de-provisioning, HA, and clustering of our virtualized environment. This has reduced the manpower as well. Some more addition to the op-ex reduction of the organization.
VMware vSphere includes the components and features that fulfill most of the imaginations of a Virtualization expert. A virtualization layer that runs on physical servers that abstracts processor, memory, storage, and resources into multiple virtual machines. The central point for configuring, provisioning, and managing virtualized IT environments.
The essence that is served is on the spot provisioning of the compute nodes and infrastructure in a virtualized manner
Effective time saving, diminished manual errors, complex IT workflow, and reduced operational cost has resulted in increasing our IT Application Service value proposition by many folds
It is practically difficult at this stage to really comment on the improvisations of V central. But more tech events and PoC cases would help the EA to design better solutions and utilization.
As a customer and a DC Architect, it would be great if more self-learning resources are made available online. One on one sessions from VM ware for rapidly growing organizations like us will further strengthen the intent of embracing the product portfolio from VMWare. A couple of the pointer in this regards can be as below:

The most valuable feature of the solution is that it offers a single dashboard, so you don't have to go to multiple places to do multiple things.
The snapshot technology of VMware is not good compared to other solutions in the market, like Nutanix. The aforementioned area can be considered for improvement.
I have been using vCenter Orchestrator for a year or two. I recommend vCenter Orchestrator to my company's customers. I am unsure of the version I use.
Performance-wise, vCenter Orchestrator is a very good solution since it remains very stable.
In my company, we have one data center with two or three data servers that manage the solution. One administrator is required to look after the solution.
In my company, we haven't used the technical support provided by VMware. I believe our clients will need help from VMware's technical support.
I use products similar to vCenter Orchestrator from Nutanix.
With VMware, you need to purchase each of their solutions separately. When it comes to Nutanix, everything comes under a single bundle, making it a very good solution requiring very little licensing, even though the price may fall in the upper end of the spectrum. The aforementioned details of Nutanix make it easy for my company to propose it to our customers.
The problem with vCenter Orchestrator is that our company has to pay more since we have to buy it as a separate product from VMware. Our customers wonder why our company proposes to them to buy too many solutions when there are alternatives in the market, allowing them to buy or choose a single solution with everything they need. Though we end up proposing vCenter Orchestrator to our customers, they ultimately end up buying three or four products along with it, and it becomes difficult for our company to give an explanation.
The implementation phase for vCenter Orchestrator was easy.
The solution is deployed on-premises mostly since our customers use it in banks.
A trial version of the solution would be good since it can showcase those features that can be utilized and how everything can be made available on a single dashboard. Once a customer gets a hands-on experience with the solution, they will start feeling comfortable and may start liking the product.

We use vCenter Orchestrator for all our automation. We use vCenter Orchestrator workflows to automate our infrastructure entirely.
What I like best about vCenter Orchestrator is that it makes life easier because it's for automation. My organization has a portal where people can request to automate all tasks or processes with vCenter Orchestrator, such as adding storage, creating VMs, removing VMs, and extending VMs.
I liked the previous client better than the current web client of vCenter Orchestrator, though my colleagues like the client now. Getting used to the current web client was difficult because it was different from the old client, though this is my personal opinion.
The technical support for vCenter Orchestrator needs improvement.

I would recommend vCenter Orchestrator, but the learning curve is rather high. It's not an easy tool to use for development, so you have to get to know it first. One area for improvement in vCenter Orchestrator is that it lacks good courses, tutorials, or training centers. What you'll find is very basic, and if you want more advanced training, you won't find one, so within my team, you have to learn it yourself, get experience, and find out how vCenter Orchestrator works.
My rating for the tool is eight out of ten because it needs more training resources and advanced courses, and VMware should provide training.
