Acronis backup is good for windows environments or we can say that individuals system because its work very good when we take the images to any system and restore the copy to some other work station. but this is not smart ways backup in big organisation because big organisation need disaster recovery backup like that Veeam or Net worker and Veritas. this Disaster Recovery software work for all the environment.

For my knowledge and infrastructure Netbackup /NetWorker Unix-Linux and Avamar for Windows Server-PC this is essential for small business and soho
Compare to BackupExec and collaboration with Norton Ghost and Avamar. Only Incremental without differential. Although it's very cheap and running faster than the corporate softwares.
No backup support for Unix flavour and backups for Linux are very light. Without Flashcopies , flashutil and kickstart. Also no support easy for VLT's and enhanced policy for historical retention
I am not tested with SQL servers against Oracle RAC and RMAN .
Also, I am not tested for Fiber channel /ISCSI environment or Veritas Cluster-Vmware.
Could you find a solution for active Acronis True Image and particulare restore ? This is my favourite SW ever.

According to my experience, Acronis fulfill my needs, is a good network software that keep my company safe. In most common cases you must have knowledge about networks and NTFS partition, to completely restore the backup image. The configuration and installation is transparent and its performance is excellent.
Hi, well in my past I had use Acronis Backup, in my opinion, that is a poor option for someone who needs make a backup of his company. If you have a simples infrastructure and simple farm of machine Acronis will support your demand but, in this case, your case it is a complex case, I will suggest starting using another kind of tools like a CA ARCserve or Veritas Backup Exec.

I would rate Acronis Backup a 10. The few times I have used that product it has worked flawlessly. The interface is intuitive and easy to use.
