We are considering implementing a middleware solution and are evaluating Oracle SOA Suite vs. TIBCO ActiveMatrix. Our main concerns revolve around system stability and support.
Which offering provides a more stable platform with minimal issues and downtime? Also, when issues arise, which platform offers a better support model?
Both are mature solutions with good capabilities. I would first look at your Business Needs (Faster Rollout, Collaboration, Flexibility, Pre-Built, Reduced TCO, Real Time), Integration Drivers (Social, Mobile, Cloud, Big Data, Extended ERP, Analytics), Integration Needs (On-Premise applications, Mobile, Web Integration, Cloud Applications, API, B2B) and Deployment Models(On-Premise, Private Cloud, Public Cloud, Hybrid) before suggesting a solution. Middleware is no longer a tactical decision but a strategic one.

We haven't used TIbco in our projects.
Oracle SOA is pretty good for building composite business services like task service as implementation of some large businesses process step. However it has issues in stability under high load because of runtime engine centralization and intensive usage of database.
We have'nt used TIBCO... and despite that SOA of Oracle Works fine we have made SOA integrations with Mulesoft even with JDEdwards implementations faster and successfully.. one of our clients have more tan 80 POS based in .NET and we have integrated them all to JDEdwards v8.1 bidirectionally including Inventory and Sales without any problems during the last 8 months.. Quite recommended...
TIBCO is a good stable product but do not under estimate the maintenance and Management. Oracle is a tough company to work with the attitude of Oracle is that they are to big to fail. Therefor customer service is a necessary evil not a selling point for Oracle. If you want good support on an Oracle product you will likely need to invest in third party support. Unless you have a deep investment in oracle I would avoid Oracle.
I have not used TIBCO for 10 years; however, I would be hard pressed to push Oracle SOA as a homogenous solution. That issue combine with the fact that Oracle SOA limits virtualization GREATLY due to the Oracle pricing model must also be considered.
Personally, I would add the Red Hat solution to the mix: OpenShift with Kubernetes and Docker.
