Investigate what are the needs of your client, why does your client want to replace the server? Size a server to the needs of your client and you could take the opportunity to see if you can add virtualization, redundancy, etc.
Answering your direct question, without analyzing too much, it could be a ProLiant DL380 Gen 10 Plus model, but it would be much better to design it to the current and future needs of your client.
As you have a general question, I would say any of the HPE ProLiant DL series would be a good replacement. All upon the tasks and the budget. You can find other vendors fitting as well. Another question is why your customer considers replacement..
