The government has funds and a budget, it's hard to say if it's expensive or cheap. In Canada, they have a yearly budget. They used to encourage people to use the modeler for development. If ten users use the server with ten licenses, it runs faster. But if forty users use the same appliance, everything slows down. People then think it's not easy to do things and prefer using remote tools like Python to extract data from the database. It's not about being expensive or cheap, but about people's knowledge and experience in how to do the work. I've heard many people complain about the IBM SPSS Modeler's performance. For me, development takes a long time, and sometimes maintenance people ask why my stream takes so long. It's not my fault, it's because forty people are using it, causing slowdowns. It's a good product, honestly, but it depends on the government's budget. We can't say if we should continue using it because the budget is limited. We have to think about other ways to solve this.
In terms of costs, maybe the rough number is about $9,000. I don't pay for it due to the fact that, when I go to training for a specific training company, they give me the authorization to use it. Or I use it with my university, and they give us the license. Therefore, I don't know the exact price, however, roughly, my understanding is that it is around $9,000.
When you are close to end of quarter, IBM and its partners can get you 60% to 70% discounts, so literally wait for the last day of the quarter for the best prices if you don't want to get robbed by IBM. we switched to Alteryx because price performance advantages and great community and support.

It is an expensive product.
I rate the tool’s pricing a seven out of ten on a scale where one is cheap and ten is expensive.
I wasn't part of the decision-making process related to the costs or price paid for the solution. However, I think it was okay.
You do need to buy a license for the solution. The pricing is expensive. I'd rate the solution five out of ten in terms of affordability.
I am using the free version of IBM SPSS Modeler, it is the educational edition version.

Its price is okay for a company, but for personal use, it is considered somewhat expensive.
This tool, being an IBM product, is pretty expensive. Our license key is renewed on a yearly basis.
There is a basic fee and you pay extra for added features. You'll need to use Linux which also adds to the price.
I believe the licensing costs are $5,000 per year.
