What is your experience regarding pricing and costs for SolarWinds NPM?

SolarWinds has recently introduced a change, or rather a payment option to pay on a monthly basis.

The licensing costs are fairly high. I rate it a five out of ten.

The pricing is decent. We chose to use it based on the price. I can't speak to the exact cost, however, I can say it is very reasonable.

Though I don't remember the price for SolarWinds NPM, its price is somewhat okay when you compare it with other tools in the market. The price isn't too high and isn't too low, so it's okay.

The pricing is based on a licensing model with bulk discounts offered annually. Licenses start with a low-cost option for 100 devices that runs between $2,000-$3,000. With 400 devices the cost is $4,000. With thousands of devices the cost can reach $50,000. All license levels come with technical support. Engineers are available to assist with challenges and there are no extra fees for that support.

When I compare the cost of CA Spectrum to that of SolarWinds NPM, the cost of CA Spectrum is way too high, and the cost of SolarWinds NPM is pretty low.

It was inexpensive when we installed it and gradually became more expensive, but it was a very inexpensive product at first. It is significantly less expensive than Infoblox. I don't recall the exact amount, It was approximately 20 years ago, but I recall it being relatively inexpensive to install. The initial part was really cheap, but the licensing cost became really expensive over time.

You've got the annual license, and then you've got a perpetual license as well. The pricing is very affordable. There is no extra cost beyond the licensing.

It is considerably cheaper compared to other tools and available technologies in terms of LMS or EMS.

I’m only a technical person. I don’t have access to the pricing. Extra costs come under support and maintenance. Obviously, we always consider support and maintenance under the same licensing cost. They'll only provide one year of support and maintenance.

SolarWinds NPM has different pricing models available. The cost of the solution is less than some competitors.

I don't know anything about pricing. It's not an aspect I deal with.

SolarWinds is expensive. That's why it's primarily banks using the solution. Small businesses can't afford it. Due to its pricing, most smaller enterprises like manufacturing companies are not interested. For example, we have a client who is also interested in traffic monitoring, but they are not purchasing SolarWinds because of the cost.

We pay approximately $4,000 annually for SolarWinds NPM. There are no additional fees required other than the standard fees. I rate the price of SolarWinds NPM a three out of five.

You do need to pay for a license in order to use it. We have a license paid for two years.

This product is priced quite highly. Its licenses are available yearly, and the calculation of costs is quite complex.

There's standard licensing, and then it depends on the size of the customer. I have customers that pay anywhere from 25K up to 200K, depending on the subscription model.

We have a multi-year license for the use of this solution. There are additional costs for recourses in the environment.

The pricing is reasonable. In the last year we tried to look for different applications and those other applications are even more expensive. If someone wants to install this application, they need to be very specific what environment they want to monitor, whether they want to monitor in a hybrid environment or just cloud, or just on prem, because the setup is going to be quite different in all aspects. When it comes to installation, someone has to have a better understanding of what they're actually going to monitor, how many nodes they are going to monitor, how many network device they are going to monitor, etc. With respect to that, the licensing changes.

I believe that we pay approximately $80,000 per year. There can be fees in addition to the licensing fees if you add on.

The licensing process is pretty simple. it's not too complex.

There is a permanent license and also a subscription level which has annual fees. The price of the solution is fair.

It seemed that they nickeled and dimed you for everything that you were doing. There are a lot of sub-products and it just continued to increase the price.

The product compares well against all the other monitoring software out there. It is not overpriced at all.

The solution is expensive and may not be very affordable for startups or smaller companies.

I renewed the licenses around two-and-a-half to three years ago and do not have the relevant numbers off the top of my head.

I find that the pricing is acceptable.

I no longer work at the company that uses Solar Winds, so I don't have information about what they were paying or what they pay now. The current package I'm using myself is a free package as I do a comparison between PRTG and SolarWinds.

The pricing needs to be improved. It is too high. One full engine costs around $10 000, which is why we don't have high availability right now.

The pricing is very expensive for SolarWinds. That's a huge disadvantage for it.

You have to license it per year, for the support. You don't really need to have support once you've already set it up. Once you install SolarWinds, you can skip on the licensing. It will still work.
