I don't think there's room for improvement with Lansweeper that I can think of. You can always improve, but it depends on the case scenario. For me, it's sufficient for now. For somebody else, they might require more. If it's a larger, complex environment or organization, then they would require a more detailed report. There is one thing that could be improved. At that time, customer support was only through opening a ticket via email or a web portal. There was no call option, but perhaps they could establish a contact center. Just so that if somebody needs urgent assistance, they can get it. I know there is an option when opening up a ticket to select it as urgent and then somebody will reach out in a couple of hours, but it would be beneficial to have somebody available over the phone for easier navigation. Through email, they send us documents to follow on our own, but never actually provide support on Teams calls where we can share our screen with the tech experts, and they can guide us where to click. That's something that could be improved.

It is difficult for me to suggest improvements to Lansweeper since I thought it performed effectively for its intended purpose. I did not use the ITSM tools aspect, which connects to a CMDB, because that was not how I utilized the BMC tool, so I do not have an opinion on how it could be improved.
It is quite difficult to tell how Lansweeper can be improved, but we have encountered some problems correctly identifying product versions. For example, Lansweeper can scan 7-Zip version 7.2, but when a new version 7.3 comes out, Lansweeper shows it as new software, requiring us to manually add this software to the whitelist or change it in reports; it should be counted as the previous version. There is no analytics from Lansweeper to understand that it is the same software but with a different version.
In Lansweeper, reporting has some glitches. Reporting needs to be more customized as per customer requirements. They can export specific information, for example, if I want to export only hard disk information, it will export the make, model, and serial number. If you want printer information, they can export only printer details. Customized reporting has some limitations and needs improvement.

The support experience hasn't been satisfactory. Establishing a direct connection with someone is challenging, as communication is limited to chat or forums through a web link. There's a lack of direct interaction with support personnel, making it difficult to have real-time conversations or seek immediate assistance, which is not ideal.
It would be great if Lansweeper could combine security functions like vulnerability management. Lansweeper should improve the cloud solution because some features are available only on the on-prem solution.

I don't have any complaints about it, and I've never really had any issues. It isn't wizard-driven or anything like that, but it doesn't need to be. For someone who is not familiar with system administration, it would be daunting. There would be a lot of info there. They wouldn't necessarily know what to do, but that's not its target audience. For its target audience, in particular, it doesn't need to change. It is really a good tool.

The support is an area that could improve. The support staff could be more knowledgeable.
The feature to deploy software in endpoints needs to be improved.
I think they should come up with an end-to-end asset management tool. That's what we need.
