What is our primary use case?
Since I joined this company, I have been using The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform. Before I joined, they had already deployed this tool.
My main use case for The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform involves working with several tools including Tenable and Cylera. From these tools, I need to determine if any vulnerabilities exist and whether they have been resolved. I have integrated The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform with Tenable and Cortex, which provides output of all vulnerabilities and identifies any misconfiguration or vulnerabilities. The platform generates reports that are quite useful for presenting to management. The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform interacts with all the platforms we have integrated and provides an overview of vulnerabilities and related information.
What is most valuable?
The best features The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform offers is the ability to compare each tool. For example, both Tenable and Cortex provide security protection. In scenarios where we did not deploy Cortex XDR to some devices, we can identify this through The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform because it compares data with the Tenable side. This allows us to perform cross-checking between Tenable and Cortex. If we miss Cortex deployment for end devices, that endpoint could be vulnerable to our cloud applications, so this capability is invaluable. The main feature is the ability to check vulnerabilities. Beyond that, we can cross-check any misconfiguration and missing configuration, such as Cortex missing or Tenable vulnerability management missing on end devices.
The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform shows us a summary of vulnerabilities, which gives us an idea about the security posture of our entire environment. Based on this information, we can decide what security gaps exist on our network and provide solutions to fix these vulnerability gaps. For example, some end devices may not be updated. The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform checks all summaries and provides a list of assets that are not updated. It gives a complete list by CVE of all devices that are not updated, which we can then provide to our team for remediation. We can request that they upgrade applications such as Google Chrome across all devices.
What needs improvement?
I would like to see The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform improve in terms of the dashboard. If I could get better reporting features to present to our management, that would be excellent. The dashboard should be more user-friendly. If they could implement this, it would be a better way to improve these features.
My main concern is that The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform would be better if it were more user-friendly. Other than that, this is a very good tool.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working in my current field for more than two years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform is stable. I did not experience any glitches or any downtime.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I do not have any information about whether our organization evaluated other options before choosing The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform.
How was the initial setup?
If you have a larger organization that uses a couple of tools for their security posture, The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform would be most suitable. When we increase our tools to protect our system, we could miss coverage or duplicate our systems. By using this tool, we can save our time.
What was our ROI?
I have seen a return on investment, and the most suitable case is time-saving. We have more than 8,000 user devices and employees. Because of this, we cannot compare one by one, and we could miss coverage on some devices. The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform allows us to save our time and protect our system and network.
