The features I like the most about AWS Application Migration Service is its ease of use. That's the main thing. It's ease of use, and they have a detailed walkthrough, especially depending on different operating systems.
The automation capabilities of AWS actually eliminate the long time and input that I have to put into migration. These days, I just run the agent, and then the agent does the job. All I have to do is actually look at the current migration status on the AWS dashboard. When it's done, I then do a quick switch over to the cloud.
The key thing I really love is the simple moving of files from on-prem to the cloud.
I've never really looked at AWS Application Migration Service in a way of improving. There's always room for improvement, but I think we can improve the automation. It's already automated, but some of the migration tools require manual intervention. For example, if the agent fails, I need to push a few commands to keep pushing the migration. I suggest using AI and machine learning to predict and resolve compatibility issues during migration. I think that would actually help AWS. I've also faced challenges in migrating legacy systems to modern cloud architecture.

The main challenge I faced during migration was actually doing the migration itself. At first, I had to find a way to move or replicate the information to the cloud, which was way too manual. I think AWS realized that the migration process is something most clients are actually using regularly.
Overall, I would give AWS Application Migration Service a six. I would definitely recommend it to other people. However, I give it a six mainly due to the compatibility issues with legacy systems, which is an individual problem I am currently facing. For most of the projects I've done with UpToDate Systems since 2013 and onwards, I've never had any problem. But dealing with some of these super old technologies is very painful. My overall review rating for AWS Application Migration Service is six out of ten.

For the moment, I am using AWS Application Migration Service for database migration. The first use case involves moving from on-premise to EC2 hosts. It is a benchmark solution used to migrate, especially when talking about block storage. It is very simple to move from the search to the destination using MGN. So the solution is very good. Actually, the option to tap to replicate the content is very nice. So it is easy to move into the cloud.
There was a time when the company had more than 300 servers on the cloud. We then used VMs to move from VMware to EC2 in the first half, and CloudEndure Live Migration's planning helped us a lot with this task.
The test option is the most valuable feature of the solution.
Considering some of the cases we have, I think it is important to have more logs, and more details would be great because we have just logged on the client's side, but there weren't many details on the cloud. More logging during the migration would be great.

We are a solution provider and this is one of the products that we use to assist our customers. The primary use of this solution is to transfer data from on-premises to the cloud.
One of my customers is using an SAP application and they used CloudEndure Live Migration to take it from on-premises to the cloud, whether it be AWS or another provider. I have other similar use case examples, such as a Salesforce application migration, and another situation where it is being used as a DR solution.
The most valuable feature is the live, block-to-block replication. Using this feature means that I will not miss out on any of the data and I can restore it on-premises if it becomes lost or corrupted. It is easy to handle the management of data between the on-premises and cloud servers.
One drawback to using CloudEndure is that the default is to give one small, lightweight server, which is created in the cloud. From there, we need to switch over to the actual target server. My customers do not want to pay for both the lightweight instance and target instance when they only use one of them.
I have been using CloudEndure for about six months.
CloudEndure Live Migration is quite stable.
Depending on the use case, it may be used more or less frequently. Prior to the situation with the COVID-19 lockdown, we had perhaps two or three migration cases in a year. These days, however, there are a larger number of them.
This solution is quite easy to scale and expand. For example, I am now using two or three servers and if I want to add one, it can be done easily.

For certain customers, I have recommended different solutions depending on their requirements and use cases. For example, I recommended the AWS Server Migration Service for one customer. Similarly, I recommended the DBSync product for another who wanted a DR solution.
I have also implemented CloudBerry Backup (now called MSP360 Backup) for a couple of customers, although these are rare.
For somebody who is experienced with this tool, it is quite simple to set up. That said, for some who are newer to it, this tool can be quite tricky to configure.
The length of time for deployment depends on the number of on-premises servers that you have. On average, I would say that each on-premises server will require half a day.
I handle the implementation and deployment of this solution for my clients. If I have trouble with cloud-related or OEM-level issues then I will contact the technical support from the provider. Otherwise, I will handle it end-to-end.
We take care of maintenance that has to be done on the cloud. For the on-premises maintenance, the customer is responsible for it. The vendor will assist with cloud maintenance, as well, if there is a problem.
CloudEndure is a product that I recommend to my customers because it's very easy to implement, configure, and use. Also, the vendor does not charge for the migration itself. Rather, they only begin charging the customer once the data has been transferred.
Overall, this is a good solution, although there are some drawbacks to it so it is not perfect.
