Our usual use cases for Bitdefender GravityZone EDR include compliance and control over the endpoints, periodic scanning, and blocking certain hashes. We also utilize Bitdefender GravityZone EDR for asset management as well.

The most valuable features of Bitdefender GravityZone EDR are the overall investigation it provides to us and the hierarchy of the events that it portrays to us, which are really good.

For real-time monitoring, we utilize it for scanning to indicate the business hours and non-business hours of the asset.

Real-time monitoring has helped our organization by providing 24/7 oversight, which is handled by the monitoring team. One admin team looks after the user management of the console while I oversee the overall functioning of the console, the reports, and any last-minute scanning or deeper investigations required.

I find the advanced behavioral analytics feature in Bitdefender GravityZone EDR a little gimmicky, as I don't usually find much use for it.

The advanced behavioral analytics feature needs to be optimized to be more user-friendly and easier to work with.

We don't specifically look for the customizable dashboards within Bitdefender GravityZone EDR; rather, we get the logs on our SIEM solution, QRadar, where we have created the dashboards. We also have Tableau and Power BI, so we don't utilize any dashboards on the EDR front.

I would like to optimize the incident response area as well, especially when comparing my experience with CrowdStrike, which is relatively more responsive and easier to navigate when there are multiple hosts involved.

Other areas of improvement for Bitdefender GravityZone EDR include its lack of support for Mac devices.

I have worked with Bitdefender GravityZone EDR for approximately nine months.

I evaluate Bitdefender GravityZone EDR as pretty stable, and if you ask for a review, I would give it an 8 out of 10.

Bitdefender GravityZone EDR's stability is evident as we use it on-premises, and it is pretty stable. If it were not stable, it could lead to inaccuracies in asset management data and increase incident response times if I cannot access the console during ongoing investigations.

Bitdefender GravityZone EDR has no limitations to scalability, but it does require certain third-party and custom integrations, especially since Mac is not supported. I would rate its scalability at 10 out of 5.

I have never communicated with Bitdefender's technical support, as my team members handle it by raising tickets and resolving issues. However, I have heard that their response time is pretty good, usually under 24 hours.

I did not participate in the initial setup of Bitdefender GravityZone EDR, as it was for an older client, and I came in and got hands-on experience afterward.

I am not aware if we are currently using the latest version of Bitdefender GravityZone EDR.

I assess Bitdefender GravityZone EDR's capabilities in reducing incident response times to be quite good, especially when it autonomously blocks any installed applications such as TeamViewer or AnyDesk without delay. However, for deeper investigations requiring parallel processing over multiple hosts, I would rate it around six.

I am not aware of the pricing for Bitdefender GravityZone EDR, as it was managed by us and the billing was handled by our client.

I have not used any documentation or guides for Bitdefender GravityZone EDR because I have worked on multiple EDRs, and the technology is pretty straightforward. I do, however, find the UI to be outdated and not as user-friendly, especially concerning the advanced analytical features which are not as mature as other tools.

I would rate Bitdefender GravityZone EDR overall at a six.

The purpose of the tool is mainly for safeguarding cybersecurity posture from an endpoint protection point of view and visualizing all events and logs. It provides visualization so that reports can be generated in a visualized mode that a layman can understand, along with the entire workflow, path flow, and how the attack happened or how the attack got mitigated.

The best features of Bitdefender GravityZone EDR include that it is very trustworthy and has MITRE ATT&CK framework integration. Whatever the forensics and latest updates corresponding to catching malicious code or threats are all synced with the MITRE ATT&CK framework. Due to this, the latest updates can catch and mitigate even unknown kinds of malicious code or any activity which can steal or corrupt data. This is one of the best qualities.

The negative aspect is that when asking for customization, the OEM takes considerable time to implement changes. Many times customization is not possible, and the OEM states that such customization may not be acceptable worldwide.

A common demand from many clients involves the QUIC protocol, which is UDP-based and used by Facebook and WhatsApp. Currently, filtering out and creating policies specifically for this protocol is not available. The OEM suggests using UDP in place of the QUIC protocol since not all major web applications use that protocol, though it is mainly used by Google, Meta, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Snapchat. When controlling sensitive data flowing through that protocol, QUIC protocol inclusion for the policy would be necessary. While this feature is not currently available in Bitdefender GravityZone EDR, they suggest considering it as a UDP-based protocol, though this works with some limitations.

I have been working with Bitdefender GravityZone EDR for two years.

Regarding the support of Bitdefender GravityZone EDR, I am neither fully satisfied nor fully dissatisfied. Their response time is good, within half an hour, and they communicate via email or remote meetings. However, there are issues with problem resolution. They collect logs and telemetry data, but often there is no outcome stating what was found in that data. Clients become frustrated due to repetition, as they are frequently asked to resend the same telemetry data, logs, and events. Even after their engineers collect the data, they sometimes state they cannot detect or find the useful event that triggered a particular scenario, making it difficult to determine the root cause.

Bitdefender GravityZone EDR provides real-time monitoring and has the ability to generate reports and provide real-time outcomes, forensics, and event activity in a visualized mode. Users can monitor every activity for connected endpoints.

The management console is available as a central console worldwide. Wherever endpoints are available, they can be synced with the on-cloud central console for centralized management and control. Updating, pushing particular updates, and mitigating reported risks are possible using the central console.

The solution allows for customized rules, though parameters are fixed and available in the drop-down menu. Users can select from these parameters to design and deploy customized rules.

Regarding deployment, since the central console is cloud-based, it can be deployed within half an hour. This includes basic implementation of license activation and central console access. However, when configuring endpoints with numerous policies that customers may need, significant work and effort are required. Once a sample is ready, it can be replicated and applied to all endpoints.

I rate Bitdefender GravityZone EDR a seven out of ten.

My usual use cases for Bitdefender GravityZone EDR mostly involve zoning, reviewing EDR policies, and vetting for possible exclusions for certain policies based on actual company policies. Quarterly, we check whether what is on paper reflects actual operations on the tools. There are also sometimes urgent requests for a change of status for Bitdefender GravityZone EDR, so I do customize rules for certain groups. By policy, my role requires that I am part of the vetting group to determine whether to allow such changes or not.

I utilize Bitdefender GravityZone EDR's real-time monitoring feature, which is cloud-based. We access it via any browser as long as we have an internet connection. The downside is that if we lose our internet connection or forget our phone, we cannot log in since it requires multifactor authentication. That is standard for EDR administrators. Another downside is that unlike some brands, Bitdefender GravityZone EDR does not have a feature to remember devices for easier future logins, which is good for security but not so good for accessibility.

The customizable dashboards within Bitdefender GravityZone EDR allow users to create tailored views and generate reports, which can be sent via email to themselves and their supervisors. An underrated feature is the ability to invite end users who are not yet using the solution to install it via email; they just click a safe, whitelisted link, making it easy for everyone.

I think Bitdefender GravityZone EDR's most remarkable feature is its simplicity in administration. Unlike other options, you do not need to use the console to access all its functions, making the UX very user-friendly even for a beginning administrator. It allows for multiple administrators of the same level, providing redundant access to the administrative console even if certain negative events cause some employees to be absent due to sickness or other unknown situations. Additionally, based in the Philippines, I find their after-sales support to be great. That is crucial because while the API integrations could be easier, the back-end support is very helpful. Due to its simplicity, the trade-off is that if you are not a really technical administrator, you might find it frustrating since there is no direct way to use the console to connect it with other non-Bitdefender tools.

Bitdefender GravityZone EDR does detect rather new malwares, but I have not really tested it with actual zero-day examples. Mostly, it can detect malwares that other advanced tools also catch, so in terms of filtering and detection, I have no problem with it.

I assess Bitdefender GravityZone EDR's capabilities in reducing incident response times through immediate threat containment and remediation as great for SMEs, although I am not from an SME. However, based on my cost-benefit analysis, I find their price to be not as competitive compared to other competitors, yet the features they deliver are on par with most top-tier EDRs.

I have seen a return on investment with Bitdefender GravityZone EDR primarily due to savings in potential breaches or data loss. Based on my calculations, the ROI is evident within the first couple of years because our organization deals with patents and localized research materials, which have concrete value compared to the cost of Bitdefender GravityZone EDR.

We have blocked and isolated a lot of malware that could potentially take this data away from us, resulting in no data breaches in the last three years. That may be correlational for now, but it certainly helps strengthen our endpoint defenses.

I would like to see improvements in Bitdefender GravityZone EDR to better support older machines. From my experience, Bitdefender GravityZone EDR consumes a lot of resources over time; although not initially, we have noticed that some machines use significant memory just to keep Bitdefender GravityZone EDR functions operational. I consider this a downside, but it does not significantly affect everyday operations, though it does impact certain users significantly. It is more of a qualitative observation.

Another downside is that unlike some brands, Bitdefender GravityZone EDR does not have a feature to remember devices for easier future logins, which is good for security but not so good for accessibility.

We have been working with Bitdefender GravityZone EDR for about three years now.

I rate the stability and reliability of Bitdefender GravityZone EDR as a ten. It is very predictable; once I deploy it, I know within the first few minutes if there will be a problem in the next forty-eight hours, especially concerning copyrighted material. When Bitdefender GravityZone EDR detects such issues, it either locks the computer from connecting to the internet or blocks the application from launching. This can lead to service delivery failures for that endpoint, prompting the responsible personnel to seek IT assistance. I appreciate that this helps weed out Shadow IT tools from the organization.

I rate the scalability of Bitdefender GravityZone EDR at a nine because it performs well, but as an advanced technical user, I do not see much detail regarding the breakdowns of the detected malwares. I often have to cross-reference with other tools to understand the severity of certain malwares. Bitdefender GravityZone EDR is focused on making their tool simple for non-technical users, which can sometimes overlook advanced functionality.

I would rate the services of the technical support or customer support at about seven. They are candid and straightforward in their communication, though it took about three days to resolve a situation that concerned our organization. Three days might not be excessive, but it can be significant for some services, which is why I rate them as average.

I decided to switch from the previous solution primarily due to cost issues; we simply could not afford it anymore.

I participated in the initial setup and deployment of Bitdefender GravityZone EDR, which was technically easier compared to other tools. It mostly involved clicks, with no need for console work or command line, making it accessible even for non-security practitioners.

When choosing a new solution, we did numerous POCs with other competitors. Based on their pricing model and our organization's cost-benefit analysis and risk appetite, we settled on Bitdefender GravityZone EDR, which actually satisfies my executive team's requirements.

Bitdefender GravityZone EDR is deployed on-premises in our organization, on actual endpoints including users' laptops, PCs, and servers. While servers are not technically endpoints, we do deploy it on them as well as on tablets and Macs. I rate this product a nine overall.

I use Bitdefender GravityZone EDR for the grooming industry. It is primarily utilized for the office environment.

The features I find most effective for threat detection include centralized control policy distribution and the control of independent devices, such as printers, laptops, and desktops connected to the network.

When patching devices for updates, if a device is not switched on, it does not provide information dynamically.

The cost is reasonable, with the license costing approximately six to eight dollars per user.

Go for Bitdefender GravityZone EDR without any second thought. I would rate the overall solution as ten out of ten.

I like the risk assessment tool built into Bitdefender GravityZone EDR because I'm really into risk assessments and vulnerability testing. I think that is crucial and needed, and I don't see that often with most EDRs. The telemetry I get from the tool can be used in a SOC I use.

The solution has behavior monitoring that allows you to monitor people's specific behaviour and practices. You can then ask the person to stop or start doing something. You can also do application management and access management. You can do many things within Bitdefender GravityZone EDR because it is like a one-stop shop scenario.

The solution's workflow is very cumbersome and should be improved. Many things in the tool are hard to find. I wouldn't miss something called clients as opposed to column networks. You have to go into networks. Then, you can break down into the different networks of different companies you're working with.

It's just not very intuitive when you get to those things. Every time I go into it, I have to figure out exactly where I need to go.

I have been using Bitdefender GravityZone EDR for ten years.

My clients for Bitdefender GravityZone EDR are mostly small-sized companies. The solution can scale up to a company with thousands of employees.

It's cumbersome to get to everything. It's not as simple as having a little chat or calling a phone number. You have to go in and create a ticket. Since I go through a distributor, most of my support is with them and not with Bitdefender. I would rate my distributor ten out of ten. However, trying to work directly with Bitdefender is cumbersome.

I did not start with the distributor. My distributor started using the solution a year ago, but it's been years since I've worked with Bitdefender. The technical support was more cumbersome when I was directly working with Bitdefender. I had to put a ticket in, and the support might or might not get back to me.

The solution's initial setup is pretty easy once you get the agent and download it. You just have to download and install it. Setting it up for each client is where it gets cumbersome.

The solution's deployment time depends on how much work you have to do with each client. It could take 20 minutes.

The solution provides a very high return on investment because it's a low cost for small clients like mine. I get a lot of telemetry with Bitdefender GravityZone EDR, and it has a lot of tools I can use.

Bitdefender GravityZone EDR is cost-effective and has the best pricing.

You don't need a lot of resources to maintain the solution. I would recommend the solution to other users.

Bitdefender GravityZone EDR is a good tool, but figuring out how to use it and get a good workflow is cumbersome. Bitdefender is a big company that has been around for many years but doesn't offer a good workflow. On the other hand, SentinelOne has a workflow. They have videos helping you understand how to use it as a workflow.

If you want to set up a new client with Bitdefender, it'll tell you to go to networks and do certain things, but network is not a good name to remember. Every single time, you have to go and look up a video on how to get it done because the wording doesn't make any sense. The tool is amazing, but I wish Bitdefender would make it a little better and not so cumbersome for people to use.

Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

We are integrators for clients in the SME segment. We evaluate different product lines, and we feel GravityZone performs well.

We set the product price-wise. The main criteria are price and performance. If it works well, we push it to the client.

So far, we haven't had any surprises. The product performs well compared to other products. It does not put a heavy burden on memory. It does what we want, even on systems with low resources.

In the beginning (initial stages), there were big differences, and it was heavy on detecting threats, and false positives were more.

But recently, I haven't found any issues. It's very smooth. In a year, if we come across anything to be escalated, once we escalate it, it's not doing anything. It runs very smoothly.

Analytical features:

The analytic features are very good. After deploying Bitdefender, it provides detailed logs about any threats encountered and quarantines the threat. It synchronizes this information, and you can see which PC or device faced the threat when you log into the console. It's very easy to resolve these issues with the available resources. 

The system also reacts automatically, and you can change policies from the source and push them out as needed.

It's a continuous monitoring system, we can take immediate action if something comes up. It's not spreading like it used to. Before, we faced issues with worms spreading very fast, but this blocks them on the first level. We don't face any issues with PCs being listed as threats. We take them offline and check for malware or if anything has been bypassed. It's working out very well.

The ease of manageability is very good. Overall, it's a good performing product. And the local supplier and distributor are also very supportive.

The product is supported by most operating systems. We haven't had any surprises like other products that don't support certain systems. The centralized logs are very good, and they are modern. 

The important thing is that pre-sales and post-sales support are very good. Our distributor also supports us very well. Before, we used other product lines where we faced problems, but after shifting to Bitdefender, we did not see any surprises. It is going very smoothly. We even see renewals.

It really blocks malware and scripts. If a client's machine crashes, they are protected. Otherwise, we don't see any issues.

Nowadays, even clients are becoming very educated. They understand the importance of using legal versions. Our challenges are much lesser compared to earlier years.

Policy customization and deployment need a little bit of improvement. The push policies, the first line, and all those things.

So, there is room for improvement in the customization of policies. That's the software part. You can have multiple policies, but customizing them is where they need to improve.

Integration with the ERP systems in that area is a little bit of a pain. You have to know how to exclude folders like SQL folders and ERP software folders. It takes a little bit of training, like coding the program and all those things. 

Sometimes, very rarely, we come across issues with high CPU utilization, but it's immediately resolved. It happens once in a while.

The AI capabilities could be better. We cannot fully depend on AI. We have to look at things like false positives. If the clients are using a legacy system, AI might flag it as a threat. We can't fully rely on AI to make decisions. 

We have to look at what kind of threats come in and evaluate them accordingly. But once you take action, then later you can let AI handle it. The first time, we have to evaluate it.

I have been working with it for more than ten years. 

I would rate the stability a nine out of ten. 

For scalability, we don't face any issues. It's easy for us to add modules or push policies. It gets affected automatically unless it's the first time, then it gets affected manually.

I would rate the scalability an eight out of ten. 

We have around 500 endpoints working, both servers and workstations.

They come back regularly for renewals. They don't want to change to other products. Since shifting to Bitdefender, we haven't changed the product line in the last five years. It's doing a fine job.

The customer service and support are okay.

I worked with most of the vendors, starting from Trend Micro, Sophos, Kaspersky, etc. So, I have experience with most of the vendors in the market.

Deployment-wise, I liked Trend Micro the best. It was the smoothest deployment I came across in my career.

Challenges are very few compared to other product lines, especially when integrating with SQL Server and ERP systems. We have to exclude certain directories from scanning, depending on the product. 

Especially if you have a mixed server environment with desktops and codes, there can be those types of challenges. But there are no crashes or anything like that. Even the patching is very smooth. We're not seeing any surprises as far as EDR, antivirus, and those areas are concerned. It is going smoothly so far.

We work with mostly the cloud version. 80% of our clients use the cloud version, and 20%  use on-prem. It depends on the client.

Deployment time:

Once we concentrate properly, it's a matter of minutes. There are two ways of installation. One is from the cloud: you send a small link, the user clicks on it, and it takes around five to ten minutes to install, depending on internet speed. 

Alternatively, there's an option to send the full offline installer, which connects to the cloud once installed. Either way, it takes five to ten minutes max. That depends on how much configuration is needed.

Maintenance: Once you know how the product works, it's very easy to manage. From a reseller's point of view, I like that I can use a master console and create separate consoles for end-users. They can manage their own devices, and if they need our support, we can log in and provide it.

We have our technical team. It's not very complex. Our three engineers provide support and are capable of handling things. Also, once deployed, we can check for any problems remotely. We don't have to go to the site. This is a good thing that came after the pandemic. The remote works out very well for us.

If it is a module, like without HyperDetect, the antivirus, anti-malware, and ransomware vaccination altogether come to around $100. We are talking about thirty to thirty-five dollars per endpoint. That is true for both server and endpoint versions.

It is not that expensive. Compared to its competitors, it is well-priced and well-placed. It's competitively priced and not expensive compared to other products.

I would rate the pricing at seven out of ten, where ten is very cheap. It's not a cheap product, but it's not expensive either. It is somewhere between seven and eight.

For the time being, it looks like everything is working fine for us. We haven't found anything that needs improvement because it's very fast in scanning and it's not memory hungry. It's a pretty stable product; we don't face any crashes. It supports Windows 7, 8, and all Windows servers, old and new. So, it's a simple product.

We recommend Bitdefender GravityZone to all our new clients.

Overall, I would rate it an eight out of ten. 

The top priority is definitely security.  The second key aspect is browsing security.

One strong point is that it doesn't have many background services running on the Windows system or server operating system. This minimizes impact because it's a lighter version.

For instance, when comparing Bitdefender GravityZone to Sophos, I noticed Sophos has 19 background services, which is quite excessive. This creates issues for our in-house developed applications, especially with database services, causing CPU usage spikes to as high as 95 to 98 percent.

So, Bitdefender significantly reduces CPU load compared to Sophos.

GravityZone is lightweight and efficient for us. When comparing antivirus solutions in the market, Bitdefender often ranks in the top one or two. We previously used Sophos for around three years, but it wasn't compatible with our systems. Bitdefender offers fewer background services, which suits our needs better. More features, more background services. Fewer features, fewer background services

The main area for improvement is the dashboard of the cloud console, where we manage security policies and groupings. It needs to be more flexible and informative. 

The current setup requires us to navigate multiple dashboards and remember specific policies, which can be cumbersome.

I have been using it since 2021. I work with the latest update. We work with the latest update.

I would rate the stability an eight out of ten because sometimes it's unavailable, and the user interface could be more friendly.

There are around a hundred end users using this solution in our company. Scalability is well and good. It integrates well with the Windows firewall for monitoring traffic and automatically takes over from the vendor antivirus. The blockage and filtering are pretty good. 

I'd rate the scalability an eight out of ten. 

I haven't had a response from customer service and support.

We used Sophos for two to three years. Sophos is well done. But the thing is, in our environment, it's not compatible with Sophos. 

Before Sophos, we used NOD32. Those, like NOD32 and Sophos, are old. I had been using McAfee, Avira, and Kaspersky. I tested a lot of antiviruses and compared to Bitdefender, these are our choice. It's different from what we have in the commitment and all those. It definitely works, and I will go for Bitdefender even two years from now.

We use the cloud version, specifically Bitdefender's own cloud solution. We initiate maintenance by sending an email about 15 days in advance. 

The vendor usually conducts maintenance after midnight, typically between 12 AM to 2 AM. During this time, the antivirus may be deactivated, but it's not a major issue as most systems and servers are offline then.

We have three people in the team for deploying and maintenance of the solution. 

We take the subscription. Only we're taking that GravityZone and protection of the environment and the system. We didn't subscribe to the detection response.

There are expenses in addition to the standard licensing fee for maintenance. 

We need to purchase the subscription. They will definitely provide a Threat Detection and Response (TDR). There is a system lock. There is a service, system lock, or something like that. 

Without unlocking the service, we can't install any kind of software on the system or servers. We need to unlock it. So, that is a relevant service. Only that kind of servicing so far, something like that.

Overall, I would rate the solution a nine out of ten. 

One of its standout features is handling configuration and security at the endpoint level. For example, users can't just uninstall the endpoint software out of frustration because it requires a secure key that only the administrator can generate. This gives you a stronger level of control compared to other solutions. If an attempt is made to uninstall it, the admin receives a notification and can take appropriate action.

I had a situation where an employee on suspension tried to tamper with the endpoint security. Thanks to Bitdefender, I was immediately alerted, and I was able to prevent any potential data loss. When the employee returned to the office, he no longer had access.

The solution also excels in periodic and on-demand scanning, which helps remove unnecessary or potentially harmful applications. Recently, one of my client applications was flagged as malware by Bitdefender. I escalated the issue to the financial application's OEM to confirm it was safe. They provided me with the SOC reports for the year, which confirmed there was no malware. After rescanning, the issue was resolved, and I had the assurance I needed.

A common challenge with endpoint solutions when it comes to response time and resource consumption is their impact on system resources. However, with Bitdefender, there were no issues with excessive resource usage, even on PCs with 8 or 16 GB of RAM. The agents are designed to work efficiently, ensuring that user performance remains unaffected.

It has the ability to remotely control user PCs and execute specific commands to ensure their security. However, this capability could also pose some concerns.

They need to improve the dashboard by adding a dedicated executive view. This view should provide executives with a clear overview of what's happening. Also, the UI needs to be more user-friendly, especially for entry-level employees who are not technical. It should include clear annotations explaining what each field or option does and the implications of enabling certain features. This could be similar to the guidance when setting up Microsoft Bitdefender on Azure AD, where the app provides detailed explanations of policies and their effects.

I have been using Bitdefender GravityZone EDR for two years.

It has campaign-based deployment and takes a week for POC.

Pricing is a major challenge, especially for Africa. Bitdefender offers a top solution with competitive pricing, essential when making payment decisions. The setup is straightforward, and there's no need to worry about infrastructure, as the solution has proven stable and reliable. The user onboarding process is also simple. However, we're experiencing some difficulties with deploying the MSI package. 

I'll start with pricing and then move on to response time and effectiveness. Bitdefender GravityZone EDR excels at quickly applying updates and patches, which helps protect against vulnerabilities without delay. When a new patch is released, it's applied automatically, keeping your security up to date without requiring manual intervention. The cloud-based nature of the solution ensures that as long as your endpoints are connected to the Internet, they stay protected and up to date with the latest security policies.

Bitdefender GravityZone EDR stands out significantly. From my experience with earlier solutions, the setup and usage of this product are much more user-friendly. While other products are available, what sets GravityZone apart is its competitive pricing, even when fluctuations in currency exchange rates occur. Despite some recent pricing adjustments due to exchange rates, the core functionality and value of the product have remained consistent. Additionally, its ability to manage threats, like backdoor mitigation, is robust. I appreciate their approach to maintaining quality while adapting to market changes.

Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

We use the solution as an EDR. We use it to encrypt hard disks. We also use its DLP capabilities.

Our company has a department that looks after the security requirements. Organizations must look at their requirements and select a product that meets their needs. The investment and support is big. Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

We have small, medium, and large enterprise customers. Some of our customers are government entities. They use the solution to have more visibility and early visibility.

Sandbox Analyzer, HyperDetect, and EDR are valuable to our customers. As far as security is concerned, Bitdefender is one of the best solutions available in the market right now.

Application Control should be available on the cloud.

The product should provide asset management and DLP features in future releases. We have discussed the same with our account manager from Bitdefender. Vendors like Kaspersky are providing such features. DLP is one feature that people need along with an endpoint security solution. It's supposed to cater to the needs of government customers and mid-size businesses.

We are looking for an integrated solution just like Kaspersky. Symantec is also providing DLP along with endpoint security. Even Sophos has started providing DLP features.

I have been using the solution for more than seven years.

In my 25 years of experience in endpoint security, Bitdefender is one of the most stable solutions I have ever seen. Other solutions have reported some system-related issues after updates, but I did not have such experiences with Bitdefender. I rate the stability a ten out of ten.

The support is pretty decent. I rate the support a seven or eight out of ten.

The initial setup was fantastic. I rate the ease of setup a nine out of ten. For a critical environment, Control Center deployment takes hardly half a day. We can start working within a couple of hours if everything is good. The time taken for deployment depends on the internet bandwidth available. If a virtual appliance format needs to be delivered, all the roles must be published, and the repository must be built up on the server.

The product has a reasonable price. It provides value for money. Additional costs depend on whether the customers need add-ons like Email Security, Security Container, Patch Management, and Full Disk Encryption. The basic portfolio is offered at a standard price.

I highly recommend the solution. It is one of the most robust solutions available in the market. Overall, I rate the tool a nine out of ten.
