My customers use ESET PROTECT Enterprise to secure all their operating systems; we have a lot of customers who rely on this antivirus. It also acts as a platform where I can manage all the devices and apply different policies, such as blocking certain IPs or ports. I can send various tasks with ESET PROTECT Enterprise, for instance, preparing a packet to install software on three computers automatically.

The best features of ESET PROTECT Enterprise include its unique platform that allows me to manage firewall policies based on license type. Depending on the license, I can apply different policies across a range of IPs to ensure network safety.

Regarding real-time analytics and threat detection capabilities in ESET PROTECT Enterprise, I find them excellent. I can configure rules and receive email notifications about vulnerabilities. For instance, ESET LiveGuard checks all devices, identifying issues when vulnerabilities are found and alerting me promptly.

ESET PROTECT Enterprise reporting and auditing features help my customers meet compliance requirements by allowing me to apply various security policies across their companies, ensuring their devices remain secure.

ESET PROTECT Enterprise has EDR endpoint detection and response capabilities that have helped reduce security incidents for my customers. Although it's not the best EDR, ESET LiveGuard constantly monitors devices, effectively identifying and stopping threats such as ransomware. The product is an antivirus, specifically ESET PROTECT Enterprise, which provides solid protection.

One area for improvement in ESET PROTECT Enterprise is its capabilities on Mac devices, which are less functional compared to Windows.

In terms of device management, ESET PROTECT Enterprise could improve its features on mobile devices such as iPhones or Androids, as current capabilities are limited.

Stability and scalability with ESET PROTECT Enterprise are areas where improvement is needed; enhancing the EDR components would greatly increase its scalability. At times, I experience issues with license mismanagement in ESET PROTECT Enterprise, where licenses got linked incorrectly to customers. However, I've usually managed to resolve these issues with technical support.

I have been working with ESET PROTECT Enterprise for about eight years.

In on-premises deployment, I manually install the server and ESET PROTECT Enterprise, handling all updates myself, whereas in the cloud, ESET automatically updates everything, including patches and Linux updates, which speeds up the process tremendously.

Setting up ESET PROTECT Enterprise on-premises can be a bit confusing as it requires managing Linux systems; without that knowledge, it can be cumbersome.

My experience with ESET's technical support is positive; the technicians are knowledgeable and responsive, and I frequently communicate with them for various reasons beyond just issues.

I typically do not work with other antivirus or EDR solutions. My experience is mainly with ESET PROTECT Enterprise, which I find superior to other products such as Avast, McAfee, or Malwarebytes in terms of completeness and value.

Estimating ROI from ESET PROTECT Enterprise is complex, as it varies by situation. While I may not reduce costs directly, preventing ransomware demands can save significant amounts of money.

I suggest that other users considering ESET PROTECT Enterprise utilize this platform to manage all their laptops and apply security policies effectively to protect their Windows environments. On a scale of one to ten, I rate ESET PROTECT Enterprise a nine out of ten.

I work with another ESET solution called EDR and XDR.

I am working with ESET PROTECT Enterprise and ESET Endpoint Security.

I am using ESET Secure Authentication, also called ESET EDR and XDR Enterprise solution.

I use ESET Inspect through the ESET Full Console, Enterprise Console.

I have bought ESET PROTECT Enterprise version, and everything is included inside.

For security reasons, I am using ESET PROTECT Enterprise for my antivirus and other functionalities.

From my personal perspective, it is easy to see on the console what's happening with each system. I'm able to monitor numerous things. This is a benefit because with all the systems connected, wherever the users are, from my system I can see what's happening on their system.

We have implemented certain policies in ESET PROTECT Enterprise, and it is working according to those specifications.

ESET PROTECT Enterprise makes the system a little slow sometimes and updates occur at startup. Sometimes unwanted pop-ups appear to users, and they are unable to disable them. The user-friendliness is lacking in some areas.

When users are using any computer, ESET PROTECT Enterprise should work in the background without consuming much memory, and any updates should proceed in the background without disturbing the user.

I purchased ESET PROTECT Enterprise last year.

We deployed ESET PROTECT Enterprise along with the vendor and the ESET team.

It is deployed on the cloud. From the cloud, we can access everything, and we deployed it to all machines through the cloud.

Maintenance for ESET PROTECT Enterprise is not extensively required. Once set up, the policies run in the background. Sometimes when new updates arrive, there are some troubles as it disturbs the users, so we have to check the policies.

Certain updates prompt the computer to restart automatically. Users have complained that it initiates computer restarts during their work without intervention. When working on something, the computer automatically restarts because of ESET.

When it performs an update, ESET PROTECT Enterprise should request permission for restarting because otherwise, users lose their work.

I find ESET PROTECT Enterprise scalable. I have used many products before, and this solution is definitely scalable.

The support for ESET PROTECT Enterprise is adequate, but even if support is addressing my problem, if the two issues I mentioned are not resolved, then the support process is not complete.

I was using CrowdStrike before switching to ESET. CrowdStrike was much more expensive than ESET.

I was using CrowdStrike approximately one to two years ago.

There was money saving from using ESET PROTECT Enterprise, which is why I switched from CrowdStrike to ESET.

The money savings is approximately 25% to 30%.

The pricing for ESET PROTECT Enterprise is acceptable. Comparing it to other solutions in the market, it was slightly higher, but I have not compared how other products function.

The main issues are that systems become slow, and the automatic restart without user intervention and waiting for permission is problematic. I rate ESET PROTECT Enterprise an 8 out of 10.

We are using ESET PROTECT on our workstations. We previously used it on the servers, but now it is mainly implemented on the workstations.

ESET PROTECT has a useful dashboard that makes management straightforward. It is easy to patch, update, and set up scheduled scans. It allows simple whitelisting and has a learning mode for new installations, which reduces false positives by adapting to typical user habits.

They need to reduce the number of notifications on the endpoints.

I have used the solution for about two and a half years.

The solution is very, very stable.

I would say that scalability is decent. It is better suited for workstations rather than server environments. It performed fine on servers, however, there are more vulnerabilities now, and maybe another level specific to servers is necessary.

I had a good experience. They were helpful with billing inquiries and offered promotions and discounts. I would rate their support highly.

In my previous job, we used Symantec Enterprise Endpoint Security and McAfee Enterprise with Comcast. ESET is less problematic; it doesn't have the same agent issues and updates smoothly.

The setup was very easy. Installing the agent allows it to operate effectively without much supervision. Setting up takes about ten minutes at most.

I was responsible for installing it on the machines, and previously it was handled by the former IT director when used on servers.

The return on investment is excellent due to its functionality and ease of installation.

The pricing is fair, with a normal price increase every two to three years. We recently paid fourteen dollars and thirty-six cents per unit for 20 users, which is reasonable.

The solution is easy to use and install, with good pricing. Overall, I would rate it as a nine out of ten, as there's always room for improvement.

I use ESET PROTECT Enterprise for maximum protection on every computer in my organization. I work in a bank, and our security requirements mandate that we use only on-premise solutions.

One of the strong features of ESET PROTECT Enterprise is its ability to work well on old computers. This is crucial for us as we save resources by not having to upgrade hardware frequently. It is not resource-intensive and is easy to configure and use. Additionally, it provides good protection without requiring extensive hardware.

The management console could be improved. Sometimes, agents lose connection with the management console, and the administration team needs to reinstall the agents on the computers. This is a significant problem we face.

I have been using ESET PROTECT Enterprise for one year.

I rate the stability as six out of ten. I experience some problems occasionally but have fast support to troubleshoot.

The technical support of ESET is very good. I give it a rating of 10. They are very responsive and help in solving issues quickly.

Before ESET, I worked with Check Point. I switched to ESET primarily because of hardware limitations. Check Point required more resources and was more expensive compared to ESET.

The initial setup was difficult but manageable. It took about five hours to set up and migrate the system.

I had help from a very good support team in Ukraine, which included one engineer from the vendor's official support team.

The price of ESET PROTECT Enterprise is very reasonable. I pay 40 dollars per agent annually, which is cheaper than 60 dollars per agent for Check Point. I do not have premium support, but the base support meets my needs.

I am also using products from Cisco, specifically their Web Security Appliance and Mail Security Appliance.

I would recommend ESET PROTECT Enterprise to companies with limited budgets for hardware upgrades. However, for organizations with newer computers, Check Point or CrowdStrike would offer better security options. I rate ESET PROTECT Enterprise six out of ten.

ESET Protect is mainly an antivirus. It has evolved over the years, building in additional features such as a web component that analyzes websites and prevents infections from malicious websites. It serves primarily as an anti-malware tool.

ESET's strong points are that it is an unintrusive, easy-to-maintain, and deploy antivirus solution. Once installed, it requires little to no manual intervention as it automatically updates itself. Its web component prevents infections from malicious websites, which enhances its anti-malware capabilities.

It uses a lot of processing power when the machine is initially booted. Improving the startup side could be beneficial.

I have easily been using ESET Protect for seven or eight years, probably more.

The solution is stable, and I have not encountered any glitches. Although there are occasional false positives during installations or web activity, these are infrequent and manageable.

ESET is fully scalable. It can efficiently scale up to thousands of devices in an organization without issues.

The tech support from ESET is amazing, and I would rate it as ten out of ten.

The initial setup is straightforward and can be managed by one person. It can be automatically installed through scripting in a Windows environment without any complications.

The pricing is reasonable, and I would rate it five on a scale of ten where five is moderate. The licensing is annual.

The solution's primary advantage is its ease of maintenance and deployment, with little need for manual updates. 

I rate the overall solution nine out of ten.

The documentation is of decent quality. I tend to look for documentation if I need it. But if I were a new person, I would want a quick start guide on how to set ESET up for a small company and handhold people through how to set it up, configure it, and deploy it. It's not difficult to do, but if I'd never seen it before, I'd be confused.

I would like to see more features on the reporting side of things, as in regularly reporting on what's going on with statistics. It might be there, and I just haven't come across it yet, but certainly, some more information on reporting would be good.

We've worked with their products since they came out about five or six years back.

We used Trend Micro Antivirus previously.

We started using ESET for some of our smaller customers many years ago and then found that it was much better at the time than Trend from an antivirus or virus detection standpoint. From that point, we just continued with ESET and gradually migrated everybody over because it seemed to work better.

ESET PROTECT Enterprise is affordable.

ESET is better in some ways than other vendors because it fulfills many areas where we'd otherwise have to use different products.

I don't find it hard to use because I've used it for years. As ESET brings out new things, I intuitively know where things are. If I were starting from scratch with it, it would probably take a little bit of getting used to knowing how things function on the console and so on. But their help guides and so on are very good. I usually find what I'm looking for on the help site.

ESET does what it says it does. My advice, on the technical side, is to look at online support and help to know how you set things up. And the online support is improving because they're making it a lot easier now to start from scratch. After all, you used to have to do a lot of setup in the background to get things to work.

I rate ESET PROTECT Enterprise an eight out of ten.

With every type of ESET product installed, we use ESET Protect to manage endpoint protection, including servers, workstations, laptops, and mobile phones. ESET Protect is a web-based console where you monitor ESET protection in the network. On-premises solutions are still prevalent, but customers are slowly transitioning to the ESET Protect cloud.

Without the ESET Protect console, a large number of endpoint clients can't be adequately managed. It allows you to create tasks, policies, dynamic groups, notifications, and a high level of automation for basic and advanced tasks.

I like the dynamic groups feature. They give the ability to filter endpoint machines by any parameter, software, or hardware inventory, and that's a significant advantage when you need to, for example, automate a secondary firewall profile for endpoints outside your network. Or if you want to automatically isolate the computer from the rest of the network if the ransomware is found. 

I would like to see more in managing mobile devices in an on-premise solution. The latest news I've heard is that ESET drops mobile management module development for the on-prem version. It's moving to the cloud. Like in endpoint client protection, I would also like to see more of the vulnerability management features and additional app control functionality in ESET Protect.

I rate ESET Protect 10 out of 10 for stability. 

I rate ESET Protect 10 out of 10 for scalability. Any limitations on scalability are due to restrictions in your environment, not the product. It depends on your network. ESET Protect Cloud can manage up to 50.000 endpoints, the on-premise solution doesn't have that limitation.

I rate ESET Protect 10 out of 10 for ease of setup. I've used it for 16 years, so I know the solution well. Customers love that I can finish the installation in a few hours. When we set the policies, tasks, groups, and packages, and test everything, the rest is easy. 

ESET Protect is a proven product, built for the last 35 years, brushed, and polished to perfection. Customers rarely see malfunctioning, and if it happens, support will take care of it immediately. There are five different methods to deploy protection on endpoints, with the ability to set the smallest detail in the process. And pretty much everything works flawlessly. There are no limitations to the number of distribution points, number of administrators, configurations of permission sets, or anything that can interfere with the solution's scalability.

The deployment time depends on the network size. From a few hours for the network of 30 endpoints, including the ESET Protect server deployment, to a few days if you have thousands of endpoints and other solutions that need removal.

Better than a product.

I rate ESET Protect eight out of nine for affordability. ESET isn't the cheapest solution, but it's hardly the most expensive. And everything it does, it does perfectly well.

I rate ESET Protect a nine out of 10. I've been working with this solution for a long time. ESET has constantly improved its products, for the last 35 years. There is still room for improvement, but for what it promises, it delivers flawlessly. It's an excellent product that helps you sleep better knowing your anti-malware environment is automated and pretty well protected. 

For ESET users, after optimizing the environment, I recommend checking the console a few times a day or enabling built-in notifications for early warnings. Automation should keep the versions up to date. Follow the vendor's guidance. If they suggest doing this or that as a good practice, you should probably do it.

Our primary use case involves approximately 180 workstations, 180 laptops, and office protection in our environment.

The product enabled Zero-Day Protection for our environment. We never encountered any issues regarding threats.

Sometimes, the connection to the machine requires troubleshooting. This particular area needs improvement. The installers downloaded from the cloud don't function automatically. It needs manual intervention to conduct the installation process and resolve endpoint communication.

We have been working with ESET PROTECT Enterprise for four years. At present, we use the latest version.

We encounter stability issues from an operational management perspective. I rate it a seven out of ten.

We have 4,000 ESET PROTECT Enterprise users in our organization. It is perfectly scalable. I rate its scalability a ten out of ten.

The technical support team is very approachable.

We have used McAfee before. At present, we are using Microsoft Defender for critical servers. In comparison with ESET, McAfee is costlier.

The product is cloud-based, and thus, it is self-maintained.

The product generates a return on investment regarding ransomware and malware protection. The major benefit of using ESET is protection and security.

The product is cost-effective compared to Microsoft Defender. I rate the pricing a four out of ten.

I recommend ESET PROTECT Enterprise to others and rate it a seven out of ten.

We're able to manage the computers with ESET Protect. There are different ways to connect the computers to the server, and the common way is to deploy the agent through the domain cloud, like Windows servers. That's how we've deployed the agent for all the computers. I work with our organization unit and know which computer belongs to which department. Once the computer is connected to the server, I create two folders, static and dynamic. The dynamic folders are under the static folders. The reason that we use the dynamic is to automate the test. For example, if a computer doesn't have an anti-virus in any dynamic folder, we can install an anti-virus automatically.

We can create a task under the dynamic folder, which helps with implementing all the processes, installing an anti-virus, installing an agent, updating the anti-virus, or updating the practice system. For example, if a computer is under attack, we also create isolate folders when we detect the ESET because one of those texts automatically moves the computer to that dynamic folder, which isolates the computer from the network. Then, from that moment, we check what is happening and the issue. For example, with something like Trajan, we check if the malicious object was blocked or what happened with the malicious object. Then we check the computer errors, and the malicious object is blocked if we don't find anything. So we create a report and then resolve the computer, and it automatically moves again to the folder.

Another use case is how we allow users to connect devices to the computer. With ESET Protect, you can restrict or allow devices. For example, we like to allow the users to connect live phones, VSP, CDs, and the content filter wireless. Every month we have to give a report to the customer informing them that we have received an attack, blocked these attacks and resolved it. That's the kind of report we provide to the customer at the end of the month. We also use ESET Protect for the MSP and the users' administration.

Depending on your organization, you can set different rules. For example, for the executives, we can block malicious or adult websites and leave the game and streaming websites. For the office or a salesperson, we can restrict more things. It's helped us with restrictions and knowing which users we can provide permissions to and which users we need to restrict.

The dynamic folders are the most valuable feature because, in the dynamic folder, you can set the rules. If any computer matches that rule, the computer automatically moves to that dynamic group. Since we already have a task, the computers move to that group automatically, and the task will run. So, for example, if the task in this computer is not updated, move it to that group, and then ESET Protect runs the test to upgrade the Windows Protect system.

The way we manage all the computers and how it's centralized to one server can be improved. Since the service is on cloud, we don't want to worry about the connection. So the availability and sustainability could also be improved. Also, you can't connect the ESET Protect server with your domain, meaning ESET Protect automatically extracts the information of all the computers in that domain and then creates a list of all the computers. Then, with that list in the cloud, if we don't have any rules, we move to the lesser computers. Then we can organize the computer into a folder or organization.

Currently, we cannot split the rules for all different MSPs. So if we want to assess a rule in the EDR, it affects the whole organization, which means all the different customers. That's not a good thing because we need to allow some websites for some customers and block them for others. The EDR doesn't have that solution yet, but ESET advised that they're working on it and will have that feature by this year. So we must be very cautious when creating something on the EDR side.

We have been using this solution since 2014, and we're currently working with ESET Protect Cloud. Before, it was on-premises, and then they migrated the server to cloud.

The stability is great on cloud, and on-premises stability depends on your ISP.

We don't have an issue with scalability, and I rate the scalability a nine out of ten. We plan to increase our usage in the future.

The technical support is good.

When I joined my company, they were using another anti-virus called Silas. I suggested ESET Protect as a solution because Silas was missing a lot of features. I prepared a survey on the Linux operating system, Devin. From this frontier, I built Devin from scratch to leave it running from all the customers.

If you have the necessary information to complete the setup, it's normal and not complex. It could be complex for on-premises if you're missing a public IP. If you are going to set it up on cloud, then it isn't an issue. For example, if you have it on-premises, you have to migrate the database on all those things to the cloud. It takes two hours to review the settings, and more time is needed for configuration because there are some sets you cannot migrate to the computers, such as tasks or groups. You need to create them from scratch on the cloud.

The company has a contract, so if a computer is added to the organization through the domain, the computer gets the policy. The policy installs the agent, and it connects to the server as soon as it is online. Since we have the automatic test, the server installs the anti-virus. It checks if a third-party anti-virus is installed and if it is updated. It then checks if the system is dated. As soon as the computer is under the domain, it automatically happens.

The ROI is good.

I rate the pricing an eight out of ten, with one being expensive and ten being good value. Other solutions are less expensive.
