Customers use Forcepoint ZTNA for accessing private applications hosted in a private cloud, in replacement for a VPN or remote access solution.
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
What I like about Forcepoint ZTNA is that you could use it as a starting point because you have one agent that allows you to add more features. For example, the customer may want to add a secure web gateway using the same agent later on. You don't need multiple agents for different solutions to integrate into your initial agent. Other technologies require one agent per solution, so you'll end up with multiple agents, and this is not the case with Forcepoint ZTNA, so this is what I find most valuable in it.
What needs improvement?
Forcepoint ZTNA isn't well-known in the market. Right now, it's a novice, so an area for improvement in it is making the product known. Forcepoint should create more awareness about Forcepoint ZTNA because a distributor like me still needs to promote it more to customers.
Forcepoint has to capitalize on, focus on, or highlight its overall approaches to Forcepoint ZTNA marketing, such as SASE or SSE, to sell the whole bundle rather than as a standalone product. Today, most customers move to the cloud, so the whole SSE or SASE approach makes better sense. Forcepoint needs to look at the whole picture.
I suggest being more aggressive in marketing to boost customer awareness of Forcepoint ZTNA.
For how long have I used the solution?
I started this role this month, so I've been working with Forcepoint ZTNA for two weeks.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Forcepoint ZTNA is stable based on the demo. It's 99.99% stable, so it's an eight out of ten.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Forcepoint ZTNA is a scalable solution. It's a seven out of ten in terms of scalability.
How are customer service and support?
My company hasn't gone through the POC for Forcepoint ZTNA yet, so I still haven't reached out to the technical support team. It's only the sales team I've been contacting.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup of Forcepoint ZTNA looks simple based on the demo. I haven't done it myself hands-on, but from the looks of it and through the demos I've seen, it looks pretty simple, so I assume it is.
Setup-wise, I'm giving it a score of eight.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Ninety percent of the feedback I received from company partners is that Forcepoint ZTNA is an expensive product. However, you still have other factors to consider, such as product features, comparisons with competitors, etc.
What other advice do I have?
I'm a Forcepoint product distributor. I distribute the whole stack of products, including Forcepoint ZTNA.
Forcepoint ZTNA can be deployed on the cloud or on-premises, depending on the customer's requirements.
I would advise anyone planning to implement Forcepoint ZTNA to understand the use cases and requirements first. You may need to use the product, or you may not, but that depends on your use cases, so know your use case and requirements first.
My rating for the solution is seven out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
Hybrid Cloud
