I still work with Kaspersky TOTAL Security for Business. I use Kaspersky TOTAL Security for Business and another product.
What I like in Kaspersky TOTAL Security for Business is that I tried the deployment on only the endpoint with no EDR, and it is easy to use.
Kaspersky TOTAL Security for Business's anti-malware feature has a positive effect.
Centralized security management in Kaspersky TOTAL Security for Business is good, but many errors appear in the software management.
What could be improved about Kaspersky TOTAL Security for Business is that many errors appear on the console software, and sometimes I do not know why these errors appear on the console software.
The errors in security management always appear, and I cannot remove them.
I have been using Kaspersky TOTAL Security for Business for an extended period.
I would rate the support of Kaspersky TOTAL Security for Business an eight from one to ten.
Positive
The deployment and implementation of Kaspersky TOTAL Security for Business are easy to deploy with no difficulties.
The deployment for Kaspersky TOTAL Security for Business takes less than one hour.
I need two people, with one person to deploy this product as it is easy to deploy.
I think the product's price is not expensive.
I like the interface. I would rate this review an eight out of ten.
Kaspersky TOTAL Security for Business helps mitigate security threats by addressing the security causes of spam and malware. The solution helps filter all of those threats.
A good aspect of Kaspersky TOTAL Security for Business is that you can deploy it from the server to the end users, and you are able to manage and monitor each and every endpoint, including how it behaves and what things are coming in through a certain endpoint. You can monitor all of that.
The logs should be improved.
The response time could be enhanced. To make Kaspersky TOTAL Security for Business closer to a perfect score, I would prefer it to be more user-friendly. Sometimes when we leave it to our clients to deploy themselves, they normally call us and ask us to come and resolve the issue.
Regarding Kaspersky TOTAL Security for Business's vulnerability management, I would say it is acceptable.
We measure the effectiveness of Kaspersky TOTAL Security for Business through phishing by attempting to fish the emails of our clients and introducing some threats. We also conduct some attacks such as DDoS to see if we can get through. Those are the metrics that we use. Since we have a CyberSec team, these are some of the metrics that we utilize.
I find the pricing of Kaspersky TOTAL Security for Business competitive, but prices could be lower since the market in Kenya is skeptical about these security softwares and devices. They remain skeptical about purchasing them. However, we are still conducting customer awareness initiatives so that people can transition to security. Security is not well embraced in Kenya, but we continue to promote it. Mostly, the larger portion of what we do is awareness. When one is aware, and when the big bosses of companies understand certain risks and what can happen, they embrace security slowly and then purchase the devices and the softwares. I would rate this product a seven out of ten.
We primarily deploy Kaspersky in financial sectors and industries like the textile industry. I've deployed it for one of the largest textile companies in Pakistan. Those are some of our major clients.
Endpoint security is a fundamental level of protection, and I primarily deploy the endpoint security component of Kaspersky. With Kaspersky Business solutions – I'm not sure of the exact product name – there are additional products like patch management and others. However, I focus on the endpoint security aspect.
In my observation, Kaspersky tends to consume more hardware resources during scans, especially on older machines like those running Windows XP or Windows 7.
These machines typically have limited hardware, maybe 4GB of RAM and a 150GB hard disk. Clients expect their endpoint security solution not to use excessive resources and slow down their work processes.
In comparison to Symantec Endpoint Security, Kaspersky does use slightly more resources. It's not a huge difference, but it's noticeable.
I appreciate the user interface (UI/UX). Kaspersky provides a user-friendly experience compared to other endpoint security solutions.
Additionally, Kaspersky offers a large number of robust default policies, such as USB blockage. I really like this feature.
Kaspersky provides excellent real-time threat protection. Your main database server is connected to the Kaspersky server, preventing zero-day exploits, advanced threats, and APTs (Advanced Persistent Threats).
This protects your confidential data. Importantly, Kaspersky now uses signature-less technology, a crucial feature for combatting modern viruses, malware, and threats that have evolved beyond traditional signature-based detection.
Before 2011, endpoint security worked on signature-based detection. Kaspersky is working on signature-less technology, so I really like that.
There is room for improvement in customer service and support.
One significant difference is the lack of on-site support from Kaspersky. Symantec has a local team in Pakistan with representatives I can contact directly for troubleshooting and support.
On the other hand, Kaspersky doesn't provide the same level of local resources. If I have an issue, I need to draft an email and send it to a Kaspersky help center. Their response can sometimes take up to a day or more. This leads to delays, especially when a client has an urgent problem.
I have been using it for 15 to 18 months now.
In terms of stability, I'd rate Kaspersky ranks quite high. The connection between the endpoint agents and the Kaspersky Security Center, which has real-time threat updates, enhances stability significantly.
I would rate the stability an eight out of ten.
Generally, it's quite stable. However, I want to add that sometimes, there are network-related issues that cause instability. These issues tend to be caused by the local network environment and not by Kaspersky itself, making troubleshooting a bit more challenging.
Overall, I would rate the scalability a seven out of ten. Kaspersky offers extensive training resources, including seminars, sessions, and certifications (like the Kaspersky Certified Specialist).
I recently attended a CTS event in Karachi. This focus on training is positive.
Since there's no local support team in Pakistan, the process is a bit slow. You have to send an email, and their response time can vary. If they're online, you might get a reply within an hour, but otherwise, it could take a day or longer.
Compared to a vendor like Symantec with local support, this process can feel quite long.
Neutral
It is not easy to use, like not as easy as some others. If I compare it to Symantec Endpoint Security, with Symantec, you download a single package. You can then deploy that package directly to desktops, laptops, and other endpoints.
With Kaspersky TOTAL Security for Business, users first download two packages. One is the network agent, which establishes connectivity with the management console.
The other package is specific to the operating system – so a Windows package for Windows machines, a Linux package for Linux, and so on. In terms of initial setup, I prefer Symantec for its simplicity, especially for beginners.
On-premises deployment:
An on-premises deployment, it's not exactly easy. There's a degree of complexity. For instance, with a company of 100 employees, I'd need to install the server, deploy the Kaspersky Security Center (management console), and then distribute the security agent packages across different locations. It's a time-consuming process.
Cloud-based deployment:
In contrast, setting up the cloud-based Kaspersky Endpoint Security is simpler. You download the necessary packages and you're quickly connected to the management console.
Time taken for on-prem deployment:
Several factors come into play. The primary one is the number of users. For a thousand users, it could take two to three days, maybe more. Additionally, your network infrastructure plays a role. Network congestion or bandwidth limitations can hinder package distribution, potentially impacting deployment time.
Based on our experience, I would rate the solution a seven out of ten.
I would recommend it. However, if they address a few issues like the lack of local support, it could be even better.
Overall, it's a strong product, especially considering its Russian origin. If they resolve these few issues, it would definitely be a top contender.
We use Kaspersky TOTAL Security for Business to protect our devices and manage them centrally. We can push different policies to devices and analyze reports to detect attacks. For example, we implemented the solution for seven hundred devices, managing them from different remote areas using different groups.
Kaspersky TOTAL Security for Business helps increase productivity by blocking USBs and social media on client devices. This is beneficial because it protects device files and reduces distractions.
Kaspersky TOTAL Security for Business provides central management for protection of devices, mitigating attacks effectively. It also allows the assessment and detection of ransomware and malware, which is enhanced by AI, especially in the cloud version.
The deployment process could be clarified, specifically around the ability to push the security application to clients from the central servers, as we faced issues with this. Additionally, having support engineers working twenty-four/seven would be advantageous.
I have been implementing Kaspersky TOTAL Security for Business for two years. While the company has worked with it longer, my experience with it is two years.
The stability of Kaspersky TOTAL Security for Business is very reliable as we have faced no significant issues. I rate it a nine out of ten.
The solution is scalable, allowing expansion of the number of users and devices by purchasing additional licenses. I initially misunderstood this, however, upon clarification, I rate scalability as nine out of ten.
Reaching customer support for assistance is somewhat difficult. While there are experts in business, it would be beneficial if it were easier to connect with them. Therefore, I rate customer service a six out of ten.
Neutral
We only push Kaspersky products for our clients due to their expertise in security. It is a reputable Russian company known for strong security solutions.
The initial setup requires deploying the Security Center on the server side, which takes approximately two to three hours.
A team of up to ten engineers handles the implementation of Kaspersky TOTAL Security for Business.
Our implementation of Kaspersky TOTAL Security for Business results in a cost-saving of about 20% of our budget.
As a technical engineer, I am not involved in handling pricing and budgeting, which are managed by another department. There have been no extra expenses involved in the standard licensing fee.
I would recommend Kaspersky TOTAL Security for Business due to its features, pricing, and reliability. It is a dependable solution, and Kaspersky has been a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for endpoint security solutions.
I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.

It maintains our security posture.
I like the inventory management. I also like behavior detection and exploit prevention.
It's been good for months but bad on older endpoints. Only performance issues.
I have experience with this solution.
I have contacted the support team. They are good enough.
Positive
Many EDR solutions use Machine-learning algorithms, where performance is much better. But they had higher costs.
We opted for Kaspersky because the cost was better, but performance is an issue.
The initial setup was easy. We have deployed it on-premises with distributed servers.
The price is below average.
Overall, I would rate the solution an eight out of ten.
