What is our primary use case?
With the rising number of cybersecurity incidents, phishing emails are often used, which can lead to credential theft, financial fraud, or data leakage. I use Kaspersky's entire Learning and Management integrated package that allows me to utilize predefined or custom training modules. After the training, I can assess its effectiveness through a simulated phishing attack to determine if retraining is necessary. This solution allows for training everyone, from new joiners to experienced veterans, at different levels. It also offers gamification to make learning more engaging.
What is most valuable?
The integrated learning and management system is very useful as it allows both predefined and custom training modules. The assessment through simulated phishing attacks is a strong feature, enabling checks on the effectiveness of training. Gamification adds value as many organizations appreciate this approach, and the training templates offer a high level of customization. Unlike others, Kaspersky provides this without additional costs, which is remarkable.
What needs improvement?
The overall user interface could be improved as it seems outdated. While the content is excellent, updating the design would enhance the experience. Introducing AI technologies to integrate with the training could also allow a more dynamic learning path and help users focus on areas where they struggle.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with Security Awareness for roughly four years and with Kaspersky's Security Awareness for about two years.
What was my experience with deployment of the solution?
Phishing simulation features are very helpful as they ensure users pay attention during training by testing them with simulation attacks. Classroom training might not always be effective, but simulations verify learning. Deployment is available in two options: on-premises or cloud. The on-premises setup can be slightly tedious owing to the product's comprehensive nature, while cloud deployment is quick and easy, taking under four minutes.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I believe the stability of the solution deserves a ten out of ten.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I would rate the scalability of Kaspersky Security Awareness a ten out of ten.
How are customer service and support?
Although the technical support team is very qualified, they need to improve their response time. I would rate Kaspersky technical support at nine.
How would you rate customer service and support?
How was the initial setup?
The cloud setup is simple and can be up and running in minutes. However, the on-premise setup, while convenient for enterprises, can take a few hours due to the product being feature-rich. This setup is still manageable for those considering on-premise solutions.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Kaspersky Security Awareness is very attractively priced. On a scale where one is high price and ten is low price, I rate it as 9.7. It is very economical.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
ThriveDX is a significant competitor against Kaspersky Security Awareness. ThriveDX is focused solely on security awareness, providing a strong market challenge.
What other advice do I have?
Adding AI to Kaspersky Security Awareness could enhance the learning path by accommodating users' needs, focusing on problem areas. Additionally, removing outdated training modules and focusing on relevant modern technology could make the application more lightweight. I actively recommend Kaspersky Security Awareness to users. I would rate the overall solution at ten out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
