|---|---|---|
| IT Technical Advisor at a construction company with 501-1,000 employees | 4.0 | I find Lenovo ThinkAgile HX Series effective for Windows-based VMs with easy deployment and integrated infrastructure. Although firmware updates lag, it offers cost-saving returns. Switching from Nutanix due to reliability issues improved our company's operations amid supply chain challenges. |
| It Asset Management Lead at Dangote Industries Limited | 4.0 | I've used the Lenovo ThinkAgile HX Series for six years, finding it stable, scalable, and cost-effective with superb support and simple setup. My only challenge is spare parts delay, not Lenovo's fault. I recommend it and rate it 8/10. |
| Solutions Architect Data Center Servers and Storage at a printing company with 1-10 employees | 4.0 | I use Lenovo ThinkAgile HX for VMs, finding its ease of use and configuration valuable. It is stable and scalable. However, I wish for better VMware integration and improved technical support, rating it an eight out of ten. |

I use Lenovo ThinkAgile HX Series in my company for mostly Windows-based VMs and for providing different services, running databases, and all the regular classic requirements for which it is preferred.
When you speak about the product's performance versus cost and the functions it provides, like computing and related things, the tool surely provided our company with some real benefit there.
The most valuable feature of the solution stems from the fact that the product's deployment phase is pretty easy. The architecture of the platform itself wasn't complicated or costly compared to the different infrastructures my company has seen, which require a lot of switching ports. With Lenovo ThinkAgile HX Series, my company received a pretty integrated infrastructure, so we didn't have to have so many switching ports available.
Suppose you don't compare Lenovo ThinkAgile HX Series with the newest features available in the other variants of the product, then everything is pretty standard, so I cannot pinpoint any areas of issue in particular.
With Lenovo ThinkAgile HX Series, the firmware from VMware or Nutanix takes time to be made available compared to other products that we use in our company's IT environment. If you want to go to a certain version of VMware and check what Nutanix offers, you see that both the offerings don't go hand in hand, and you have to wait for a quarter or two quarters until you see the same versions of both being made available for the other products, like Dell or HPE. There is a delay in the availability of similar versions of firmware from both the products, which are VMware and Nutanix for Lenovo ThinkAgile HX Series, due to the delayed releases from both products, maybe by a quarter or so. The aforementioned area can be considered for improvement in a solution.
In future releases of the product, I may want some improvements to be made in the products from Nutanix and VMware.
I have been using Lenovo ThinkAgile HX Series for almost three years. I use Lenovo ThinkAgile HX2321 and another model of the product.
From a stability perspective, I have never seen a single thing going wrong on the platform in three years.
I rate the solution's stability a ten out of ten.
Even with all the maintenance work related to software or infrastructure in our company, we have never encountered any stability issues with the product. The product runs very smoothly unless we make a mistake while using it.
The product's scalability is awesome. If you are able to find some other products that can be configured with Lenovo ThinkAgile HX Series, you can integrate it with the cluster easily. Within the product, you can just add to its computation power. When operating on Lenovo ThinkAgile HX Series, you have to be careful about the configurations related to the area concerning Nutanix to make it scalable, but the process is good.
In the future, my company plans to increase the use of the solution while considering our company's budget. After the older products, which are nearing the end of life or support, are taken down in our company, we will go for products from Lenovo.
The technical support of the product is awesome. I never had to go through a phase or wait for days and days to get some technical support. The solution's support is good.
I rate the technical support an eight out of ten.
Positive
I have experience with the hardware from Nutanix. Cost was one of the factors that caused my company to switch from Nutanix to Lenovo. My company had experienced some issues with the hardware provided by Nutanix, which prompted us to move to Lenovo. Due to the failure of one of the nodes in Nutanix, the overall software we were using in our company went down, and such an event happened not just once but twice in our company.
The solution is deployed on an on-premises model.
There are some installation and configuration processes to make Lenovo work. Usually, one person from my company's team and one person from Lenovo's team are required to take care of the product's deployment phase. As far as I see, the physical installation is not done by my company directly since it is managed by our partner agency, which does it for us. I am not sure whether a single person is needed or two to take care of the product's deployment.
I have seen a return on investment from the use of the solution.
The product has saved my company's time and money.
Price-wise, it is a pretty good product. The product's price was one of the main criteria that made my company choose it over the other products in the market.
My company had approached different vendors, and we saw that what was available from Lenovo was at par with the other vendors. The product was available when my company had a lot of supply chain issues, and Lenovo made it possible to resolve everything quickly for us.
In our company, we never utilized all the features offered by other products like Nutanix or VMware. Since Lenovo ThinkAgile HX Series requires a standard deployment process and my company doesn't look into any specific features as such, we are okay with it.
The solution doesn't require much maintenance apart from the usual patch updates.
I haven't seen much maintenance of the solution, especially when considering the fact that I haven't seen the need to swap components in the hardware in the last three years.
Considering the last three years, some of the products made available from Lenovo ThinkAgile HX Series have the newest features from VMware, so if you want to use its new features, then it can be a good choice. If you want to save on cost, then it is better to stick with the previous series of Lenovo ThinkAgile HX released by Lenovo.
I rate the overall tool an eight out of ten.

We have different things deployed across the Lenovo ThinkAgile HX Series. We have our SAP S4HANA, and Windows for the data center and other solutions deploy across it. We are running in batch file mode.
Here in Nigeria, the only challenge that we have, which I think is also experienced globally is the delay in bringing in the spare parts. This is a challenge facing our country, such as the Forex market. However, this is beyond the control of Lenovo themselves.

Lenovo ThinkAgile HX Series could improve by having better integration with the solutions from VMware and vCenter
I have been using Lenovo ThinkAgile HX Series for approximately two months.
Lenovo ThinkAgile HX Series is stable.
Lenovo ThinkAgile HX Series is scalable up to approximately 16 nodes. However, Nutanix has larger solutions available.
The technical support of Lenovo ThinkAgile HX can improve.
I rate the support from Lenovo ThinkAgile HX a three out of five.
Lenovo ThinkAgile HX Series required more than two specialists at the time to do configuration. You have two reps, one to configure and the other to implement. There are at least two different specialists.
I rate Lenovo ThinkAgile HX Series an eight out of ten.
