The main use case for Securiti in my organization is to safeguard the physical assets as well as the digital assets. The prime motive behind deploying the SOC or the security, cyber security solutions, or for that matter, the information security solutions within the bank is to safeguard the physical assets as well as the digital assets. Coming back to the digital assets, the focus is primarily on safeguarding the customer data, which is paramount to the day-to-day operations within the banking sector.

A specific example of how I use Securiti to safeguard customer data involves our crown jewel applications or the applications which are customer facing such as core banking, INB, internet banking, mobile banking, loan lifecycle management system, or tab banking. For all these customer facing applications, we have implemented ZTNA 1.0 and ZTNA 2.0 implementation is in progress. That means the zero trust network architecture is implemented for all the mission critical customer facing applications, wherein we have adequate safeguards in place for protecting people, processes, and related technologies.

The best features Securiti offers in my experience primarily safeguard the digital assets. I would say the prime purpose of security is to safeguard the digital assets. That means the data, underlying platform, and be it the storage, compute, network, data, and applications. These major five pillars are what security solutions aim to protect. Security is in today's context, whether it is IS security or a subset of it, cyber security, it is very much required to reduce the business risk, business continuity risk which may arise because of the disruptions of compromised IT apps.

Of those features, I find the zero trust network, zero trust architecture, ZTA, most valuable and unique in Securiti. If you look at the zero trust architecture, it's the three main principles under this, which include principle of least privileges and microsegmentation of the network and role-based access control, fine-grained access control. With these three tenets of zero trust architecture, we are quite confident that the mission critical customer facing applications which are hosted in their respective production region, remain up, alive, and uncompromised.

To improve Securiti, I would say that ultimately the IT team as well as the business team, there has to be an amalgamation of their thought process, convergence of their thoughts, objectives, aspirations for achieving the business objective of a particular organization. The way forward is to form the fusion team wherein there is a judicious mix of business and IT and both the teams understand each other's limitations and the aspirations and the common objectives.

As far as needed improvements in Securiti, I would say that automation is key. If you look at the kind of huge amount of data which SOC integrated devices are generating in terms of alerts, automation or the appropriate use of AI is the way forward. That will lead to the overall improvement in the efficiency as well as the threat intelligence will be much more accurate. To my mind, automation with the augmented use of GenAI or the agentic AI solution is the way forward.

I choose eight for Securiti because for it to be a nine or 10, ultimately the uptime has to be improved, it should be nearing 100%. Apart from that, there has to be more unified communication happening between various customer facing applications. These siloed applications having their own kind of security solutions implemented also have to be brought on a uniform platform. Until that happens, there is always a gap which has to be filled. The processes within the SOC, whether it is SIEM, NBAD, or your DAM, alert analysis, logs analysis, these have to be predictive analysis, and the thwarting of the cyber attacks still requires more effort.

I have been using Securiti since 2012, where I was responsible from the department's perspective for setting up the security operation center within the bank, security SOC 1.0. Thereafter, I was also SPOC from the department side for SOC 2.0. While performing my role as SPOC for the SOC, SPOC for the internal audit for the SOC initiative within the SBI, I was responsible for the asset integration into SOC. Thereafter the configuration of SIEM agent, DAM agents, NBAD, and cyber security incident closure. Those were the initial SOC 1.0 days wherein I have handled these challenges. Additionally, VA closure is one of my areas of expertise and passions.

Securiti has positively impacted my organization in a way that addresses the prime concern of the board of the bank or the business that the evolving cyber security, ever-evolving cyber security threat should not lead to the disruption in the applications, key customer facing applications availability. The top executive or the C-level executives want to understand the impact of implementing the various cyber security solutions in terms of the reduction, tangible reduction in the business risk. There we have proved that the return on investment is quite acceptable to the board's aspiration.

A specific metric that demonstrates this ROI with Securiti involves our customer facing applications. If you look at core banking, INB, or ATM, treasury, or mobile banking, the uptime is upwards of 99%. With that kind of high availability and the continuous threat exposure management, CTEM, we are quite sure and we have proved our worth to the business in implementing the cyber security solutions. Apart from the uptime, the kind of rating which our application gets from independent agencies such as scorecard also proved the efficacy of the IT security solutions implemented within the bank.

Securiti's scalability is impressive; it is capable of handling a large workload for a bank having 25,000 plus branches and a customer base of around 400 million customers. It can be scaled with the required hardware, either horizontally or vertically, without much disruption.

Customer support for Securiti is quite reasonable, and if I have to rate them, I would say nine out of 10. They are prompt and they take care of most of the use cases or they provide prompt solutions.

We have been using Splunk for SIEM, and Imperva which is now acquired by Thales for DAM, as well as Qubro solutions for network security from inception. We have relied upon these solutions for almost a decade and do not foresee a need for an immediate shift as long as the assets are well protected and the uptime is maintained.

Before choosing Securiti, we evaluated other options, but now we are using Securiti for data privacy. It is one of the important components of the SOC, apart from other components I have mentioned, whether it is SIEM or DAM. Securiti solutions are now largely responsible for safeguarding the data privacy within the bank.

In my experience, Securiti is quite robust, reliable, and scalable as far as data privacy is concerned, and it caters to most of the use cases across different business verticals.

I have seen a return on investment with Securiti. With more automation in the SOC and the implementation of the next generation SOC, the headcount required for around-the-clock monitoring of ever increasing IT assets has gone down drastically. There is also a tangible benefit in terms of the money with the reduced year-on-year application downtime, even though the cyber security threats are ever evolving.

Regarding my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for security solutions, we usually enter into an enterprise license agreement for a bank of our size. Whether it is Splunk or whether it is RSA Archer or it is Qubro solutions or any other IT security solution provider, we find them to be flexible. With the kinds of hundreds of thousands of IT assets we have for integration, we usually find the IT security solutions providers' pricing as well as their licensing structure to be quite flexible. They also offer price protection.

More and more automation, whether reduction of the exposure or automated remediation of the vulnerabilities, and the prompt reporting in the GRC tool, those are the key initiatives we have taken for last few years in safeguarding the bank's digital assets.

My advice for others looking into using Securiti is to first compile your use cases for a particular sector where you are operating. Thereafter, perform the POC of those use cases followed by pilot implementation before a full-blown rollout. It makes sense to examine or assess the efficacy of security solutions prior to a full-blown rollout.

I rate Securiti eight out of ten.

My main use case for Securiti is that we implemented it to improve our data privacy and compliance operations across multiple business units.

A specific example of how I used Securiti for privacy or compliance in one of my business units is that the platform helped to centralize data discovery, classification, and governance processes that we previously handled manually, so we used it to find information on our company.

The best features Securiti offers include that the data discovery was really good, it was easy to set up, and the view was a differential compared with other solutions, so we could see in a map where our data were located and investigate better who was using that data, who was responsible for that data and secure who had access to it.

The visualization helped my team because it was easy to understand the data, mainly the types of data that we had, and investigate and try to secure who had access to it.

I would like to add that the integrations were really flexible with cloud and SaaS platforms, the dashboards were useful, and we had good visibility into sensitive and regulated data.

Securiti has impacted my organization positively because during the time that I was using it, it had a positive impact on the organization, but we did not stay with that for a long time because we did not have the budget to keep it in the company.

I noticed measurable outcomes with Securiti, mainly reduced risk and improved compliance; it did not reduce the risk firstly, but we could get some information to do that after.

I could see that in an environment where we had a lot of information, sometimes it was a little slow with Securiti, so I believe they could improve by making the solution faster in big environments.

I would like to add that they could have more integrations too, such as on-premises and cloud.

I have been using Securiti for a few months only.

Securiti is stable.

I found Securiti easy to scale.

The customer support from Securiti was good.

I would rate the customer support an eight on a scale of one to ten.

I previously used a different solution, BigID, because we had a lot of problems with that solution.

I have seen a return on investment, as I believe we saved time; we could save a lot of time searching for important data and critical data on our network.

Regarding my experience with pricing, setup cost, or licensing, I did not have much experience because I was more a technical user, but I believe it was not really expensive.

Before choosing Securiti, I evaluated other options, including BigID and another solution, although I do not remember the name of that.

My advice to others looking into using Securiti would be that if you want to use it for a big company or small or medium company, you can use it, but for a multinational, I believe it is a bit slow; I do not know if they improved it, but the time that I tested, it was a little slow. I would rate this review seven out of ten.

The primary use case of Securiti is to scan and classify PII data in our datasets automatically. It helps me identify and classify personal information without manual intervention.

It saved about 30% of manual effort spent in data classification

The automated way of identifying and classifying personal information is very beneficial. Otherwise, I would have to manually go through the data and seek expert knowledge from data owners/ stewards. 

This tool makes it easier to automatically scan and classify based on contents. A specific feature I find effective is the sensitive data intelligence (SDI) module, which is very useful for automating compliance processes.

One limitation of Securiti is that it can only classify about 30% to 40% of my data. For the remaining data, even if it is PII, it may not be classified correctly. This could be due to incorrect or missing data in the dataset. Therefore, I still need to do some manual review to complete the exercise. 

Additionally, it would be beneficial if Securiti had a feature similar to data mesh, allowing users to directly access remote data through the Securiti UI. This would reduce the need for other tools like Snowflake.

I have used the solution for about one and a half years.

After 6 months, We reached a stable phase with no significant issues. However, initial challenges required substantial support engagement.

Scaling up and down was not straightforward, requiring support team involvement. The initial phases needed higher capacity for database scanning, but now only operational capacity is needed.

Technical support can be a hit or miss. Some technical staff are great, but others are not very effective. On average, I would rate the technical support 4/10.

I used Ovaledge as my previous solution. Data classification was done manually, but Securiti offers automated classification.

The initial setup faced challenges, and it was not straightforward. Many proof of concepts were conducted to ensure reliable output. I encountered several issues requiring technical support.

We used SaaS version; but implemented in a local cluster. Used a combination of in-house resources and tech support from S.AI (securiti.ai)

Securiti reduced my manual effort by 30-40 percent, although our goal is to achieve a 70-80% reduction.

The licensing cost is not very high compared to some products in the market such as Collibera, Alation etc; though it is not the lowest. Ovaledge was more affordable than Securiti.

We considered quite a few other products such as 

Ovaledge, OneTrust, Alation, Atlan etc

I would recommend Securiti to others with challenges like obtaining human resources for timely classification. However, if manual classification works for other companies, it's the best option. I rate Securiti as 8/10.

I haven't been using the solution much. I work for a service company, and we resell some products. Security is one of the products that we resell. I have some certification in security, and I know what it does and its functionalities. However, we are a new reseller of security.

The process mapping is a good tool. We have a nice view of their data. 

With the formation and education, specifically the security education, they could update the educational video more often. The most difficult part is the security deployment. It's hard to estimate the cost. They should help with the cost estimation. When you deploy security, you need to deploy the infrastructure. That's the weak point, the difficult point.

I haven't been using the solution much. I work for a service company, and we resell some products. Security is one of the products that we resell. I have some certification in security, and I know what it does and its functionalities. However, we are a new reseller of security.

It's pretty good in that regard. It's a good tool. Our deployments were inside the client environment. We manage the environment well, and the clients manage it, so it's not crashing. I haven't seen any instability compared to PowerView, for instance.

It's very scalable. I would rate it ten out of ten for scalability.

It's not very fast, and it's difficult to get an answer. That said, we've got a dedicated engineer, and when we get someone, we get the answer.

I have used Purview, however it is not really similar. I wouldn't recommend it to our customers. It's difficult to manage the cost. We looked at Didomi and Purview, however, the most efficient is security.

It usually takes one month if we want to explore all the functionalities.

We do it all by ourselves. We've got a Microsoft-certified professional who helps us. After that, we do everything by ourselves. It's about deploying the security notes in Azure environments.

The most difficult part is security deployment. It's hard to estimate the cost. They should help with the cost estimation. When you deploy security, you need to deploy the infrastructure. That's the weak point, the difficult point.

I would put nine out of ten. 

It's a very complete tool. It's easy to make data governance with it, as it relates to data security. However, the documentation can be difficult to read. 

I have been involved with Securiti for almost two years.

Their data discovery is a fantastic product. It is AI-enabled for automatic tagging and classifiers. Once a proper data discovery is completed, it suggests tags to automated classifiers. I genuinely appreciate this feature, and they are competitive in pricing compared to other vendors. 

Automated tagging helps in identifying sensitive information. I also find their dashboarding to be very good, including their cross-border transfer maps for data movement. I consider access control and monitoring to be particularly useful, with a module in their NFI domain called access controls and monitoring, which is informative and easier to use. 

We also employ it for automated data discovery by connecting to source systems to identify and classify personal identifying information (PIIA) across various assets. Code dot ai handles unstructured data sources, identifying sensitive information in OneDrive and ensuring it is secured from a compliance standpoint.

I would like their workflows and assessment automation to be more advanced compared to their competitors, especially under the pro core privacy module. I find that Securiti AI is not as advanced as OneTrust when using OneTrust as a benchmark. 

Despite them having connectors and ongoing product improvements, there are challenges with data lineage and updating relationships modules that don't match OneTrust's capabilities. Their data discovery is strong, and their core privacy models are improving, posing a challenge to OneTrust. However, I believe the assessment automation and workflow automation processes require further development.

I have been involved with Securiti for almost two years.

The solution is relatively stable. These were read-only accesses, so there was no impact on the production environment.

We haven't seen any scalability issues.

They have a very strong product support team. Even though we face some challenges, they are always there to help us. I find the training modules on their website to be really user-friendly and helpful.

To scan 50 terabytes of data, I find their module is almost half the price of their competitors when it comes to data discovery. 

It's a good product. Everyone should at least try Securiti once before making a conscious decision as every organization, environment, and program comes with different objectives. A particular tool choice depends on a small POC, but I definitely recommend Securiti.

My main use case for Securiti is their learning packages for training.

I have used Securiti's learning packages to upskill myself on data governance relating to AI.

The quality of the learning that Securiti offers, especially considering that the courses are free, is incredible.

Securiti hasn't impacted my organization; it has impacted me as an individual.

It has impacted me positively because the courses that I completed were in areas and subjects that I needed to be more confident in, and the courses and certification have provided me with that confidence and those skills.

The overall availability of a free AI data governance and data security package is important enough in itself.

There is nothing about Securiti's learning packages or the platform that I would change or improve.

I have used Securiti's packages twice over approximately eighteen months.

It is too early to tell if having those certifications has helped me in my consulting work or opened up new opportunities for me.

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing was great because it was all completely free.

I did not evaluate other options before choosing Securiti.

Securiti deserves a rating of ten on a scale of one to ten. I chose this rating because it did absolutely everything that I needed it to. My overall review rating is ten.
